I love Menassah. Him and Ephraim are really the first Brothers of the Bible that are shown clicking together naturally without some massive rift between them.
He is also the first older Brother that didn't show resentment for the 1st blessing going to the younger, unlike Cain, Ishmael, Esau and Josephs Brothers. Menessah is amazing.

@@raymorgan2780 did you know in some Jewish circles they give a type of blessing like this? To the women they are blessed to be like the spouses of the Patriarchs. Blessed to take the character of Sarah, Rebecca, Leah.
But to the males, they aren't blessed to take on the character of the Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but of Ephraim and Menesah. And it is for the same reason of 2 brothers finally treating each other as they should.

I am from Eastern Europe and from Manasseh tribe, my mother is from Gad. I was the first one to join the church in my family, then my mom followed me and grandma joined later. I also know people from nearly each tribe of Israel. One interesting thing I noticed about people from the tribe of Dan is that they don't tolerate injustice. I knew a few people from that tribe and they would always speak up and fight for what is right. Curiously enough Dan means "judge" in Hebrew.

Thank you for your video on patriarchal blessings, and I love the video. Thank you for explaining it so clearly. I am the only member of my family, and I have been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints for 35 years. 2 to 3 years later after I was baptised I received my patriarchal blessing and I found out that I was from the tribe of Ephairim and I also found out that I have Jewish ancestry on the Polish side of my family history. I know that I have a big responsibility on my shoulders I have to do all the work for my ancestors by doing my family history and present the names of them that I find and get and do the work for them in God's holy temple. This is mentioned in my patriarchal blessing and one of my responsibilities.
Thank you for this wonderful and informative video.
Thank you, take care, and God bless you, Amanda 😊

I and another girl are from Issachar, our other girlfriend was from Naphtali, the guy who baptized and confirmed me was from Reuben, we only missed Judah and I think Gad...but I had a friend at the time who was Jewish, so we counted her in!

I am a California native and convert to the Church at 16. My PB says I am from Benjamin, although my brothers are from Ephraim and Manassah. I have been told little of the significance of that, except that Paul was also of Benjamin and that Benjamin was one of the two tribes not scattered and remained in Israel. I did go to Israel once many years ago, and inexplicably I had a feeling of being “home”. Can you shed any more light on this?

Isn't that amazing! I knw exactly what u mean! I grew up Catholic (my dads side of the familys religion) and my mother was a non-acting LDS, she basically went Catholic. Growing up i had no interest in Catholicism, it just didnt feel right to my soul.
On occasions i will spend Sundays at my moms side of the family, which were LDS. The first time i went to church with them, i felt "at home" ... Everything just felt so familiar, like ive been there always, everything was soooo right, in place like i was alway a part of this church. ... I think i was about 8 yrs old when i experienced this.
I think i may have had some pre-existence feelings manifest in this experience.
My dad despised the LDS church and always forbade me to attend LDS services. So when I turned 19 i converted to the church... And was the best thing i have ever done in my life! Although my dad was unreasonably upset when he found out that I got baptised, my mom was so happy!

I am also in the tribe of Benjamin. I was born in Peru and my parents are in the Manasseh tribe. (which I always found interesting)... It touches my heart the part of the verse that says " Benjamin, the beloved of the Lord" as I have always felt the spirit overwhelm me in a special connection and feeling towards The Lord. My P.B. favorite line says " I walked with Him" this blew my mind when I first read it as a teen. On a special occasion in my mission, I felt the Lord's love and presence so strongly that to this day I hold onto that experience when challenges arrived in my life. I migrated to the US 25+ years ago by a miracle of events, I learned the language and now I have lived here in the US(UT) for more years than in my beloved native Peru. However to me now here is my home with my family!... as Deute 33:12 says, I have felt the Lord's safety and cover as there is no other way I would be here but by His hand. A few years back I listened to the song " You raise me up" (performed by Josh Groban) ... I can hardly hold my tears every time I listen to this song as it reminds me of the Lord's love. It wasn't until today I realize the connection to the last part of this verse in Deuteronomy: "shall dwell between his shoulders" with my favorite line of the song "You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas, I am strong, WHEN I AM IN YOUR SHOULDERS, You raise me up to more than I can be". I know the blessings in our Patriarchal Blessings are real, the lineage blessings are real and the exhortations and recommendations given are equally real. I have no doubt these P. blessings are by the true power of the priesthood. I would like to learn more about the responsibilities delegated to Benjamin's tribe.

Awesome Video - thank you. Keys of the stick of Ephraim were given to Moroni by the Lord. Moroni then sat down and wrote to many Gentiles that would be converted and help save the rest of the House of Israel by using the 'stick of Ephraim' (BoM). This outside group would then be responsible for coming back to play the key role in gathering the House of Israel. If you look at the Nephi/Lamanite struggle, it is also similar as the Nephite scattering to America was part of the scattering of Israel. Additionally, look at the Savior and through his lineage both Gentile and the Tribes of Israel are saved. IT ALL REVOLVES AROUND GATHERING ISRAEL...don't let the details cause confusion - the gospel is all about the gathering of Israel both Jew and Gentile. If you feel like you don't have a noble birthrite, it's the wrong thing to be wrong about - you are all entitled to all the Father has regardless of income, race, place of origin, or traditions of backgrounds.

I am curious where you got the name meanings for Israel’s sons listed starting about minute 10. For from what I can find in Genesis 29 and 30 where they were named, the meanings were different. For example Rubin meant “look, a son” and Simeon meant “hearing” and Levi meant “pledged”. Will you share your references?

  • @johnthompson2256
    @johnthompson2256 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Where does the list of names come from at the 10-minute mark? Reuben can be a seeing son, similarly Benjamin being the son of the right or south. A name can mean a multitude of things. Jacob can wrestle with G-d and lets G-d prevail. Using Reuben's name as an example, seeing is the first step in the ultimate progression of being added on, as is Joseph, and a son of the right, as is Benjamin. Just wondering.

Joseph means Restorer in Hebrew. In Gematria, all names of the 12 tribes add up to 1820. The Rabbis thought the Messiah would come in 1820. He did! To Joseph Smith 2 Nephi 3 has Joseph of Egypts actual words telling us. So the Rabbi said they must have not kept the Torah because he hadn’t come. The title page says for the Jews and Gentiles. When the Jews read the Book of Mormon, they recognize it is an ancient Hebrew record with how it it is written.

Recently, I’ve stumbled upon some TH-cam videos, referencing book of Mormon scriptures, perhaps in third Nephi that are talking about the Gentiles being wicked in the last days.
The producer of the video suggests that these are current day members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, and that we are the wicked Gentiles spoken of in those book of Mormon prophecies.
my understanding is that if we are baptized members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, we are no longer Gentiles but are adopted into Abraham’s seed, or Israel, as promised. And therefore cannot be the wicked Gentiles mentioned in those book of Mormon prophecies.
Is my understanding a correct understanding?

The closer we come to the 2nd coming and the return of the "lost" tribes, the more we will see the various tribes pronounced as a lineage in their patriarchal blessing. Ephraim's lineage today, is called to share the gospel throughout the world, but the closer we come to the closing of the time of the gentiles, and the closer we come to the opening of the times of the Jews, the closer we also come to the return of the lost tribes. Those of us who are among the world at this time, and not a part of an organized lost tribe, yet who have the lineage of an otherwise lost tribe, are here in the modern world now, to help usher in the return of the "lost" tribes and to help in the building of the New Jerusalem.
Everything is not always either/or. Don't you know that with God, all things are possible?

Because it just doesn’t make sense. That he would exercise his free will to do all the good he possibly can, and still be the 2nd resurrection? Or was it reflecting the current life he was living then? Can anyone help me with this?

sorry, but no one by the name of Miriam or Yeshua from any of the 24 families in b'nai tzadok! no concept of a messiah for the gentiles, who is related to us, according to our sefer tzadok. there never was a matrilineal descent among the children of Israel. the matrilineal descent is a post 70 ce rabbinic/talmudic judaism invention which is followed by the jews of today with the exception of the kohanim. the kohanim, even among the rabbinic/talmudic judaism of today, continue to maintain the patrilineal descent as the only valid descent to be a kohan. it is irrelevant if the mother is the daughter of a kohan father, let alone a non-kohan father, for her son(s) to be kohanim. only the male descendant of a kohan father can be a kohan. the lineage for your yeshua through Miriam is not valid for him to be a kohan or a tzadokite priest. in our history there has been no tzadokite whose father was not a tzadokite. our 24 families are based on patrilineal descent alone, therefore the only jews we consider to be related to us biologically are the jewish kohanim. the matrilineally descended jews are not biological descendants of the children of Israel. this patrilineal descent was established for the children of Israel by Ezekiel when he deported all the non-israelites whether man, woman or child back to babylon.each of us have been keeping our patrilineal genealogy and know exactly which of the 24 main families we belong to. our marriages are arranged and are only within the 24 main families. the genealogies have only male names. if a man leaves us, then his name is taken out of the genealogy and there is no returning back. same with woman. we do not accept any converts, male or female, and we do not recognize the children of any man or woman who has married outside the 24 sub-clans which make up the families of the b'nai tzadok.
