I am not sure how I feel about joint accounts. I know it works for many couples but I don't like the feeling of my expenditures being 'checked'. Even if my husband would be ok with it, I still want to have that space to not have to explain to anybody why I had to spend money on whatever.

if you took NDOA as your premarital classes that ''MONEY MATTERS '' class was really intense and especially if Igobwa was one of the Facilitators but later in Marriage is when you know how important that class was. That part for asking for money from Zach every month, I can totally relate weuh! Before my husband agreed to a monthly lumpsum payment I used to ask for cash almost every 3 days because I was in school. Maisha ya kuomba omba humbles you.

First and foremost I dnt know how women ask for money from men. 😂😂 other than my father. Even now that I am married I cant ask my hubby for money at all. Even when we were dating I never asked him for money.
Secondly I earn more than him so I am used to doing everything for myself. I dnt expect anything from him financially cs its frustrating knowing your man has no money even if I was to ask. When you become the breadwinner in marriage you toughen up and to be honest it's not easy. Every woman wants a man who can take care of her or atleast tries to with the little he has.
One thing I have learnt as a woman is that no matter how independent you are financially we all yearn for a man to take care of us deep within. It's frustrating to do everything in marriage as a woman not unless the man is sick.

Its not so hard if you are earning almost the same or the guy earns more. Let me be honest it's not easy when the woman is earning way more. I know it from experience!! It's not easy
