Osmo upside down and with AFC

  • Turning the camera upside down raises the viewpoint to slightly higher than cab view. I used Movie Maker to flip it upright. The AFC (constant focus) behaves a bit better, less likely to focus on the ties a few inches in front of the camera. Seems to add minor tilt issues though and the camera has to be about 1/8" farther forward to clear the flat car.

    I had a SG11 (or similar) but it stopped working, so attempted the Osmo P on same (N scale) heavy load wagon. Worked well. I had to raise the gimbal head a bit due to wagon construction and it helped with focus so that it shows the track sharper. I’m not publishing the run as it is more about track quality check - no scenery yet and some embarrassing issues… you do have a fine setup!

    Hadn't thought of using the Osmo on a model like this, great idea!
