Happy to see you back! Your video really hit home with me. I think many creative/artistic people often have ideas bouncing around everywhere. Managing everything can feel somewhat like spinning plates at a circus. Whenever it gets like that, a lack of immediate and overall direction can surface, and it's not nice. It's definitely challenging, but those creative impulses do need an outlet....Photography, more often than not, seems to come to the rescue for me. It's in my blood really, pretty much like yourself. It definitely helps bring some clarity and focus back, when things can seem pretty incohesive....grabbing my camera, getting out and spending a few hours just taking photographs can really help calm things down. Then, take another step back, re-evaluate and move on from there (hopefully)...well, something like that, you get my gist. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing your thoughts and I think you got some really mice shots. Good luck with your next ventures, and keep posting here on YT, even if it's just now and then.
Great video! This is really something so can resonate with personally, as I am going through something similar myself lately… Thanks for sharing your struggle with us! Hope you find the inspiration and path you’re looking for soon :)
Good to see you again, Aaron! I deeply resonate with you in this video. I had a few weeks where I was questioning myself about what is inspiring me and what is making me happy. I basically stopped producing and filming for TH-cam because I was putting so much pressure on myself to make good content, but that pressure was not making me happy at all. I think, because we are both creative people and we are lucky enough to work in creative fields and not what is considered a "normal job," having these moments of questioning or not enjoying what we do is quite normal. As you said, inspiration does not come from just one form of art and expression. I've recently started experimenting with very simple videos, without any talking, just long frames and pictures that work well with the music-more like visual poetry. I know that this is not something really appreciated on TH-cam, especially as a new creator; however, doing these videos made me very happy and excited. I always like your videos and your way of thinking. It feels like listening to a wise friend who has experienced something similar to my experience, and it's nice to be heard and not feel alone in the cauldron of the internet. Keep doing what makes you happy and inspired. At the end of the day, the person who needs to be satisfied and happy is you.
Great video. I've struggled with this myself. Inspiration is what helps set the process in motion. Inspiration isn't momentum. The hard part is maintaining the momentum to take you on to the next inspiration. At least that's what I've found. Easier said than done.
The creative 'spark' is a transient thing, and few feelings are worse in this world than letting one go to waste. I'm happy to see that you are pursuing yours :)
Hey Aaron Life man..... what's it all about eghh 😆 Rule No.1 - just keep being Aaron and do whatever Aaron likes best. Being self conscious and worrying about what others like is..... a bad feeling. TH-cam is just TH-cam and unless its your primary goal in life then do with it what you please and when you please. Easy on the Donuts dude. Donuts destroy lives. You know that. 😅 📸😎👍
I really appreciate that. Generally speaking, it's just me thinking about what I want rather than what randoms on the internet want -- but sometimes there's this desire to do something more general/sweeping. Thanks again!
