- I Got a NEW CAR, so I HAD to Smoke a Cigarette in for the First Time. I Bought Myself a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo Diesel Sedan, with the om617 five cylinder engine under the hood. It has roughly 280k on the odometer, so it’s just getting broken in. All in all, I spent $3,000 on this car, and it was totally worth it. It’s one of, if not, my ultimate dream car, so I am very happy to own it. Looking forward to driving it lots more in the future. Hope y’all enjoy watching me Smoke My First Cigarette, a Nat Sherman Naturals Yellow, in My New Car, a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo Diesel!

I’m not sure what rabbit hole I fell in to stumble upon your channel Jacob but I’m glad I did. I’ve given up cigarettes after 15 years or so, but watching your videos feels like enjoying one without actually smoking myself. Top that with a great taste in cars and there are certainly no complaints on my behalf!

I've always considered myself to not have an addictive personality aside from my chronic internet addiction. I've been smoking a cig or 2 every day for awhile now. I feel great shame but I truly really enjoy smoking. Vaping doesn't feel or taste the same.

Edit: also what car guy do you see smoking a cigarette? They all vape, and try and blow clouds as big as a Celica doing a burnout. Also for any risk of the car pulling a dead’s man’s hand itself due to a cigarette is basically a 0% chance, but lighting yourself or the cloth in the car around you is very likely.

I don't currently have a garage where I fix my car, so if I recorded myself doing that, I'd end up doxing myself in all honesty 😂
If I do get a garage though, I may just have to smoke some cigarettes while fixing whatever may need fixing and record it !

Dude, I literally had almost that exact same car as my first “real” car; it was black and an 84. Having your first smoke in that boat probably made you feel like the biggest man in the world.

The W123 is an absolute beauty. 280k is just getting to be broken in, check the area under the battery tray though. Very common to find rust there, if anywhere. Commonly referred to as a hell hole for a good reason.
But otherwise I'm sure she'll serve you well!

Those Old Mercs are solid, a taxicab company where I lived had these cars from the late 70's early 80s they had over 500,000 miles on the clock when I last rode with them, many years ago. I expect they're on the scrap heap now! Just think if every car could run for that long, it could last a lifetime.

My guy is wearing a G-Shock, smoking a cigarette in a classic Merc sedan which he knows all the specs of while listening to the Minecraft OST. Impeccable taste.
Edit: Just saw your video on the watch and it isn't a G-Shock but a W218 which is still a great watch.
I got the Mercedes ML320 SUV 1998. One owner and its one of the nicest vehicles I have been in. Everything works as well. 120k miles.
3k for a clean merc aint terrible, and that door trim should be an easy fix. 280k is pretty darn steep but still man that's a fun buy. Props to you sir I still remember rolling up in my very first car purchase, always a proud feeling
It looked like the door had a big Dent in it too, so that'll need pulling out.

280k basically translates to fresh from factory
280k on one of these is basically 10k in any other car.

i got a 2007 ford explorer all leather all power loaded runs is in great shapeno rust no cosmetic issues no engine issues for 700 bucks ykwis ykwis kinda thing

Dude I recently bought a 1994 w202 with the 2 liter engine and it is in very good shape. Did it for the same reasons as you, and was just as excited as you. We're lucky our dream cars can be bought with 3k. Cheers

No, not even close. Most places in America you can’t live by yourself unless you’re wealthy or live in an income apartment. Houses are overpriced, wages barely pay enough for bills, food and gas is outrageous right now. I guarantee other European countries are better for living alone than Canada and the US.

Btw I love diesels, if you remember in the livestreams I talked about my diesel Jetta. It has it’s issues but man the diesel engine makes it all worthwhile. Turbo noises and 30mpg city/40+ highway. Congrats!! I am thinking about buying one of my dream cars, a 300SD, right now. We will see…
Is it a 2000s? Ive got a 92 with the 1.6td w/ a 5 spd. Pretty fun cars if you treat them right; though I dont.
@@kcroz1104 my car is an 05 Jetta TDI mk4 with the BEW engine and, sadly, the automatic 5 speed trans. It has typical mk4 problems, foam vents disintegrated so the heat is always on, and I am worried about camshaft wear. But it has lasted a year which is good.
@@deletedaccount612 The Germans knew what they were doing with their diesels for sure. if you change the timing belt every 100k and perform other regular maintenance then these cars will usually run forever.

300SD's are so good as well, not as big of a fan of them as the w123 300D's, but since they have the om617 they're an amazing car of course 💪 Definitely grab one if you see a good deal for sure !

My dad had a 300td when i was younger. It was an 86 i think. He eventually sold it because the transmission was breaking down and it was rusting like crazy. It was the first car i ever drove was so cool
Amazing car! I grew up riding in a W116 and then later on in a W124. My dad still has both, I hope he doesn't sell the 116 because it was made for a president (which is pretty cool so I would like to have it one day) so it has bullet-proof windows and body, this makes it really heavy but the amortisation is so well done, you feel like you are riding on a boat in the sea.
I like the Mercedes Benz, it makes me want to get one like it.
