I hope you enjoyed my highly exaggerated real life examples. 😂 Currently, I'm editing a video review/impressions of the Moster 185 MY'20 as well as an instructional video on how I pack my wing. Those should be out next week. We have some good weather coming up as well so I'm stoked to go on some more flying adventures! - tuckergott.com/collections/all
Love the grin and the thumbs up as the wing smashes your feet! That was a riot! 😂🤣😂 In my younger days, I used to unload dirt bikes out of the truck down the ramp riding on the foot peg with one foot on, and one foot out in the breeze. Made it easier for me at 5'4" - I couldn't touch ground on ANY dirt bike. Still can't! LOL! Was easier being off to one side so I could jump off as the momentum slowed. I'll have to practice that kickstand trick. It's just a modified version of my unloading trick. Sweet! 👍🍻
Good tips Tucker. My throttle cable on the Maverick went in the prop last night. No injuries but I am going to mod my Maverick and add an additional kill switch. The motor was jammed on half throttle and the kill switch didn't work. The cable got wrapped around the exhaust and melted through after a short time which caused the kill switch circuit to ground through the exhaust!! Sandy
It is because of you I have a renewed relationship with my father. We share nothing in common, but he (like myself) is super excited about trying paramotoring out. We are both disabled veterans, and so for us to share something in common is very hard (aside from cool movies). He is so into this sport, that he bought me the paramotoring bible, and he wants to spend the 7+ days at the PPG aviators school with me! I already love this sport, but the fact that it can bring me and my father closer together is just icing on the cake. Ty you for your content.
Part 2 please! I'm flying a trike and am having some trouble with spot landing I'm always coming in high but practice in a large field or grass runway makes a huge difference because I can just focus on the landing and not worry about hitting the fence or climb out into trees etc... part 2 would be great, Thanks for putting this one together!
Thank you for this. I'm having a heck of a time launching. I have a classic face-plant video of me adding power at exactly the WRONG moment, and face=planting me into the ground. I am making all the classic rookie mistakes,
Hi there I would definitely like to see more of the series please. I also would love to see a video about the things you think a new pilot should work on immediately after going through a class like Aviator (which I just did)
You should talk about trim speed and it's effect on the landing. Talk about motor-on landings for better spot landings. Swoop landings and targeting your approach. Reverse v forward launch and what conditions are right for each. More explanation around each tip, would be greatly appreciated.
You do such a good job of explaining things. Calm Cool and Collected. Could you do a video on the hand controls and how they work. If you've already done this, I apologies.
ordered my blueprint shirt yesterday with a decal for my toolbox Im an A and P mechanic at CMH, ive been watching for a few months now seriously weighing my options on pursuing paramotoring.. keep it up man love the content!
I don't chime in often but kudos to you Mr Tucker ..this was a well placed video with very true and good points even though I've improved immensely in 80 + hours I still have a lot of dialing in to do in all 5 area's..Thanks
Last weekend I started my paraglider class. So my first step into paramotor is made :D It’s very interesting how a paramotor starts in contrast to gliders. My instructor said, for takeoff, I ve to lean forward and give pressure on the hip belts. Learned something new today Wishes from south Germany somewhere in the alps
Solid video! Was just watching some old Trent Palmer videos and saw you on there... would love to see the two of you do some flying together. Maybe stop by and fly with him the next time you do a Van Life tour?
Thank you for this. Good info for us beginners. I hope you do some more advanced stuff too. Like those swoop landings you do. I'm not at the level to try it but I'd like to know the theory behind it. Just looks crazy how it drops from the sky so fast when banking but at the last moment it just flares smoothly to the ground. For a noob like me, it feels like if you miss judge even a little you get broken ankles.
I dont think he will explains swoop landing, he probably doesnt want to be partly responsible for people hurting themselves while trying swoop landing. A failed swoop landing is much more dangerous than broken ankles.
Tucker, good video. I would like more on managing energy in flight. But mostly I want you to show us how to make a butt landing look intentional and really professional!
Gotta work on the spot landings for sure. Gonna go watch a video of me flying to check my posture. Take-off lean back could be better too. I did just get in a good habit of turning and kiting down the wing nice but I'm turning the wrong way really. Aw heck I suck. Well, got some good ways to improve "D
About to start training so, yes, more tips please. Anything that would be good to know or a "things I wish I knew before I started training" would be nice. One thing that I am still confused by, on landing I hear that you are not suppose to look at the ground under you but, are you supposed to look at the horizon or, as i recently saw in a "things to know" video, look at the spot where you want to land and if it is rising in your view you are overshooting and if it is sinking then you are coming up short?
Hi I can't find your old video about 3 ways of landing. Do you remember title of that or do new with more informations about landing? Thanks for all your videos
As a retired police officer, who also graduated bicycle patrol school, the "flip the kicking stand down while moving" maneuver is standard protocol. The more you know! 😁
Great advice! I take my first flight next month!! I started watching you 2 years ago. I also started paramotor instruction in February. I past my kiting test yesterday. They are towing me up tomorrow! Can’t freakin wait!! Thanks for all your inspiration! If you’re ever in Kansas...
Great subject Tucker. Thanks for both the educational and entertaining videos. I do have to agree with an earlier comment that the lean back during launch is the Ah ha thing for an easier launch. Thanks again
Will you be so kind and explain air space for us ? Im sure lots of people would like to know the air space regulations and where they can actually fly . It would be nice to make video about different class airports and regulations combining them with maps etc .. I don't think people are aware that this sport its regulated and knowledge its necessary in order to even start thinking about your area and if is legal . I did lots of research today about it because I really want to get in to this sport . But after checking out some maps i realized that my little area its loaded with traffic limitations. Anyway love checking out your videos . Cheers .
More of these! And I'd love it if you went into a little more detail. I understand keeping it simple and not trying to teach acro on youtube, but I would have enjoyed a little more info on energy management, working towards swoop landings, etc.
I've watched SO many of your uploads and appreciate them all. I find it neat as a Pro/Am Disc Golfer that many of the same Rules of Flight apply to my sport as well. Saving up some funds to get into the the paramotor sport soon. Thanks for the content, Tucker!
Appreciate all the experience and content ur posting 🙏 plz do a part 2 , 3 , may be 50! cuz we all learn something everyday, I started paragliding at 2016, and I have beIN watching ur channel and seing u grown... God bless u 😇🙏 keep up the good work
So good, please do part 2. I am a beginner and number 3 has been a point for me lately as I progress to bigger turns and starting wingovers, how to dissipate the energy because that surge is damn scary. Nice one dude, love the content.
Great video, I have a BMW GSA1200 Adventure bike as well... I am going to work on that dismount with the kickstand stop. The paramotor techniques you mentioned are rock solid. Shows complete wing control that will be very helpful in an emergency or with a slight issue. Ive had brake toggle wrap, taken off with the stabilizer strap on my instinct disconnected, etc... Wing control is crucial when you have an abnormality..... Keep up the good work
Its good to practice flying and landing without the brakes in case the brake line snaps or the knot gets undone. You use rear risers to control the wing.
This video's timing couldn't be better. about to pick up my moster 185! so maybe do the next 5 tips related to paramoter only? Like if you were free flying before and now switching to motor, what 5 tips would you give?
The main difference between free fly and paramotor is launch. Its more difficult to feel what the wing is doing on launch when you have a heavy motor on your back. The leaning is the opposite on launch. On free flight you lean forward to put load on the wing, and paramotor you lean back, so the propeller push you up and forward.
Really good tips. Perhaps you could expand on the specifics of how to spot land for beginners? Maybe there are some useful tips there that could help newbies, stuff they never thought about that is probably second nature to you. Asking for a friend.
Spot landing Is a lot of trial, error, and lot of practice. I explain for paragliders, but paramotor is the same. Make spot landing a game with your friends. Put a flag, a traffic cone, a bag or anything visible in the middle of the landing field, and the first one to touch it on landing wins something. Spot landing start with: 1) Knowing the place before you land there. 2) determine wind speed and direction, with wind sock or other means. 3)choose where you want to do your altitude loss circuit, and what height you want to start your landing circuit. 4) thinking about what landing circuit you want to make, depend on wind, obstacles, other pilots... U shape landing circuit is often the best for accuracy, because you can adjust the downwind leg, the cross wind leg and when to get on final. 5) make that circuit and adjust it as you go. If you sink faster that expected, cut the corners of the circuit to make it shorter, if you enter thermals make the circuit longer. On final, adjust your speed and glide ratio. Your target should be fixed in your visual field. If your target moves down in your visual field, it means you are too high, too long, if it moves up, too low too short. I know people who fly paragliders so bad they have trouble landing in the right field, and missing the target by 600feets, even if they had plenty of altitude to make a correct landing.
Im just curious if you could pull off a spot landing in the back of the 250 mobile? I think you could but I'm not a pilot yet so I honestly think you could do everything hahaha
Solid video, but would have liked a better explanation on energy management. Say for whatever reason, you can't execute another turn, could you control the energy with brakes? What would that look like, letting the wing balloon and then catching the surge?
Train whithout wing first. With the motor on your back, add power and try to stay on one spot without moving your feet. When you get to max power, you will have to lean back to stay on the same place. Once you know the angle, try to make small steps. Once you are good with that walk faster. I have only flown paramotor once, but I saw it on bandarra's video of his paramotor training.
I want to paramotor at some point. I thought these were all very useful tips that you can start applying immediately for a safer start as well. For now, I’m still flying with helium balloons and my trusty lawn chair.
I would love to see how to perfectly complete your hook turns when coming into land. They always look so awesome, professional and something you don't see many others doing.
To add on to the energy management peice, learning throttle control, and when to let out of the throttle to assist in preventing ballooning/surges is also quite important for both aggressive flying and active piloting in turbulence.
I am a new pilot. On Mothers Day weekend I was launching from a field on my mom's property and ended up face-planting. Raccoon eyes and everything. Fortunately I had my GoPro setup to record my launches and landings to see how I can improve. I was doing exactly what you described in Tip 1. I was leaning forward too far and it was taking a real long time to get to the point where I thought I was going to lift-off. This wasn't the whole reason I botched the take-off, but to your point, that lean angle is real tough to get used to. I thought I was leaning back enough, but the video tells a very different story.
- tuckergott.com/collections/all
I did not expect this.
Love the grin and the thumbs up as the wing smashes your feet! That was a riot! 😂🤣😂
In my younger days, I used to unload dirt bikes out of the truck down the ramp riding on the foot peg with one foot on, and one foot out in the breeze. Hey Tucker! Any chance you could give me some really good tips on a beginner paramotor? I just recently got into the sport from skydiving.
Thanks Tucker, Looking forward to it 😁
How is this comment posted 11 hours before the video went up?
Good tips Tucker.
My throttle cable on the Maverick went in the prop last night. No injuries but I am going to mod my Maverick and add an additional kill switch. The motor was jammed on half throttle and the kill switch didn't work. The cable got wrapped around the exhaust and melted through after a short time which caused the kill switch circuit to ground through the exhaust!!
Sandy
Its a good idea to have 2 kills switches, in case something goes wrong with the first one, you have a back up.
It is because of you I have a renewed relationship with my father. We share nothing in common, but he (like myself) is super excited about trying paramotoring out.

@@TuckerGott Thanks dude :)
Part 2 for sure. We all want to be pro’s
Looking for part 2
Another vote for Part 2. Really liked those tips especially tip 1.
Hi tucker, i am from india and in love with paramotor just coz of your videos thanks a lot buddy nd loads of luck for keep making wonderful videos
Watching the "Starfish" demonstration made my day.
It is also the leading cause of bugnutz!
Yeah the guy with the bike and kickstand was dead cool! Great tips Tucker!

Excellent video. I used to do that kickstand trick with my bicycle.
A guy that can show you the goofy mistake and then the correct way. I'd love love to be young again and be able to fly on of these.
Definitely part 2 plz keep them coming!!!

Yes that would be great!
Do it👍👍
Great learning video's thanks mate from Down Under Australia hopefully in 6 months I'll have enough money to train and get started
Golden video! Great Info for newbies and a refresher for more experienced pilots! Great great video!
Very good tips Tucker, all new guys should watch this a couple of times. Cheers.
You do such a good job of explaining things. Calm Cool and Collected. Could you do a video on the hand controls and how they work. If you've already done this, I apologies.
The feeling of leaning back on take off was my "Aha" moment during training

Love these videos!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I also like the quality of your videos in addition to the content.
I can relate to many of those points, so yeah - Part 2 would be cool. Thanks T!
Thank you today was my first flight and and your comment was useful for landing
Got 12 flights under my belt. Great stuff. Keep the tips coming
Great helpful video, Part 2 would be good.Great job Tucker, Thanks
Time for a part 2? Love the video!
Tucker, Thank you very much for the Tshirt!
I'd like this video thousands of times!
Great video! I'd like to see more. Keep up the good work!
Tucker, this is a great video!! Can you show us how to inspect the wing?
Super helpful video Tuck! Down for part 2
More tips, more tips! Thanks for the videos!
Fantastic video Tucker. Hey new guys, watch this and learn. Imma try that starfish on my next sky excursion.🤣
It definitely allows for better airflow on those hot days. 😂
You crushed it Bro! Thanks!
Great Tips, thanks for putting this together!
Tucker great little video a part 2 would be good.

Yes, more parts please 🙂
Thanks Tucker and place do a part 2.
Thanks man, great tips!
Let's see a part 2! 🤘☕🤘☕🤘☕
Yes, more... and thanks!
I like it when the wing is put down to the left or right wing tip first, it just folds right up👍

Part #2 yes!!!! Thank you...
Definitely do a part 2
great video tucker
Awesome vid , yes more tips please 🤟
Good one Tucker!
Same thing happens with skiing, you can always spot the FDBs by the way they carry their gear and put their skis on!!
Should 100% do another! Love this stuff.
Thanks for sharing, Tucker I hope I can remember those tips when I finally start Paramotoring. God Bless and stay safe.
Love these tips videos. Let’s see another 5! 👍😀
Boom. Shirt ordered.
No Brainer, Tricks Part II forsure!
I would love a part 2
great tips, please give us more.
Proper/best take-off technique especially helpful, thanks!

Dude this episode is so valuable, thankyou so much for sharing! Definitely would like to see a part 2 😃
MORE, PLEASE!!!!
Solid tips on flying techniques, a little bit of fanesd tricks, and some beginner tips. Thanks!
I live that guys motorcycle videos I watched his tips and Tricks video too!

Most Definitely. Part 2
Nice timing, back to basics on Tuesday as the 2 month UK lockdown has been partially lifted enough for us to fly again 🙌
