Just bought my tefal pressure cooker and watched this after, thank you for sharing you feedback for both PCs. I had a Philips but yes, I share some of the challenges you had using it. Very clear explanation in your video too, thanks!
I am so relieved after watching! Bought a Tefal because I like the brand and have had good experiences in the past. But I didn’t check this one out before buying. This vid has been very helpful and reassuring. Thanks for posting.
I find the Philips incredibly "User Unfriendly" for all the things you pointed out: poor lid quality, annoying badly fitting silicon ring, minimum timing, spouting pressure and lack of on/off facility. However, the cooking performance is really excellent! But to have to experience these fiddly and frustrating user points means I'll definitely check Tefal. Great video. 😊
Thank you very much for watching an excellent point. Yes, I have Philips for the last 2 years and it's been great. However, for those who about to purchase one and wondering which one is better.. . Actually I don't know LoL, but I found Tefal is way more user and cooking/cleaning friendly. :-)
Hi Greg. This was a very useful vid. However when I first used my Tefal (before watching your demonstration) I discovered the settings were not all that good - for example, who can find and afford 'Abalone'? This option would have been better used for say, beans and pulses (in order to pressure cook my soybeans to make natto, I had to use the 'beef' setting as there was no DIY pressure option). Then when I went to incubate the beans there was no 'yoghurt' setting so was unable to get the temperature down to 40 celsius, the lowest being 60 - useless for this purpose. Agree the unit is well-built, although I would have preferred a stainless steel bowl and Tefal is a good brand. As a result of my experiment, the Tefal goes in a cupboard for the rest of its life while I invest in an Instant Pot which appears to have all the requirements for my natto-making!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing!!! Simply amazing! My review was focussed on what I know. As I didn't have any experience with any other brand Tefal felt, cooked and lasted better than Philips. Rest of your comments are totally valid. I just wonder how many people like you out there? Maybe this is why the focus on "majority" that want simple press and forget. Again, huge thank you for watching and a quality comment.
Thank you very much for watching and kind words. To keep all my reviews unbiased I don't accept any gifted or sponsored items. As such, sadly my budget is limited. There are so many other great budget and premium items that I would like to test and help others with, but for now I only have those two. Is there any particular model of Breville of your interest. Also, why would you think of Breville (as pressure cooker) instead of Philips, Croc Pot, Tefal and other more often used brands? Just curious. I think, the price point of above mentioned is already pretty sharp. Is Breville might be better in some aspects?
@Greg Yurchenko hi. I own many breville products but not the fast slow go multi cooker. I'm considering to purchase it. Breville products are high tech with fantastic quality. But the cost is high. I'm happy with the simplicity and great design of there products.
@@dennisdesmarais3778 I own a lot of Breville products too, but... 1. It is not a multicooker it is a pressure cooker that can be used as multicooker. 2 I'm not aware of any good value proposition from Breville in pressure cooker field...
Thank you for watching. I would love to compare an Instant Pot to Tefal pressure cookers, but... I'm not sponsored by anyone and that's the way I form unbiased opinion. Out of all things I'd love to review I'm rapidly running out of money. Maybe do this review in the future. Sadly, for now it is off the table.
I'm in total disbelief myself... They had such potential, but didn't go all the way. I suspect that design was there, but bean counters insisted on cheaper materials to reduce costs... Clearly not smart move.
So cool. Ordert a tefal these days. But did not find a propper presentation yet. And here it is. Thank you🇩🇪
Thank you for watching and kind words. 🙏
Thank you for making this video. Really hard to find honest and clear info comparing the two, from someone who has actually used them to cook!
Thank you for watching and kind words. People like you totally inspire me to keep going with creating silly, amature, but honest videos!

Thank you so much for watching and lovely comment 😀❤❤❤❤ Still prefer Tefal after 2 years of using both. Great product.

Thank you for watching. I was surprised too. Now another year passed since making that video. No change in opinion here. Enjoy yours :-)
Thank you for the comparison particularly that you have used the cookware after one year, not just open box review.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you very much for watching.

Excellent - extremely clear video.

@@GregYurchenko - I went out and purchased the exact same capacity Tefal this afternoon!
@@robertnewton59 Cool, I'm using mine for more than a year now. No regrets. Hopefully you'll enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. 🙏. All the best.
Thank you so much!! It really helped me to make my decision
You're most welcome, thank you very much for watching!
thanks for the review. Tefal wins hands down!
Thank you. Yes, Tefal is the winner almost in every category, but price. If Price is right I'd choose Tefal based on my personal experience.
Now this was a great helpful in detail explanation of these products. Have you compared the breville fast slow go cooker to tefal.?

Wow a lot of mistakes by Philips, aren't they doing any R&D ? Crazy
