Yes! Joanna Cannon and Donal Ryan! I love them so much - especially The Trouble With Goats and Sheep and The Spinning Heart, they are completely amazing. Must pick up these new recommendations of yours :) :)
Hi Jasmine! 😊 Great video as alwayss, thanks for the lovely content ❤ I'm so glad to hear you've been enjoying reading so much! I have kind of been struggling myself with reading these past few months, but hopefully I will be able to get back into it soon! Also: I love your sweater! Love, Naomi 🥰
I read Last Night this summer too and really enjoyed it. I’ve read a few Mhairi McFarlane books now, and while they are never my favorite, she’s a pretty consistent writer and good to pick up when I’m in the mood for women’s fiction. I think my favorite read of the summer was Ohio by Stephen Markley, which I remember you saying you enjoyed in an earlier video. It was perfect literary fiction and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I am so excited to read his new book, The Deluge, next year!
That's good to know! I'm so pleased you also loved Ohio - I thought it was so fab. Ahh I didn't realise he had a new book coming out soon, thank you for letting me know! 😍
Last Night is the saddest Mhairi McFarlane book. I sobbed reading it. The others she has written are more lighthearted although she tends to have something hard-hitting in each of them. I adore the Flatshare! It's going to be a tv series!
In relation to When Our Worlds Collided what do you mean by “a little bit on the nose with the points the author wanted to make”? Are you referring to the racism shown? Or something else?
have been looking forward to another video!!! been keeping up with your reads on Goodreads xx
Aw thank you so much Ruth! Hope you're well 😁 x
Love your jumper. Thank you for the reviews.
Thanks so much Mary! ❤️

Hi Naomi! Thank you for your lovely words ❤️ Hope you get out of your reading slump soon! X
Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these, Jasmine! Mhairi McFarlane is an author I really want to read more from.
Thank you lovely! Yesss me too. I don't know which book to go onto next!
I always get more book recommendations from your vids than from just about anywhere else, I'll have to get on lots of these...
Ohh that is so lovely to hear! So glad I can help 😁
