I've got a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander 2nd Generation, Imported to New Zealand from Japan, 2006 - , I bought the complete steering wheel and brake light switch from a 2007 Lancer, but when I went to install it, my outlander already have a 4pin brake light switch, but only 2 wires going to the switch. I installed the new steering wheel and connected everything, the radio buttons work, but the cruise buttons does absolutely nothing. Is it possible that this one model Outlander from Japan does not have the wiring and software to retrofit the OEM cruise control?

Which I goes where? - does the clock spring has free harness or do I need to unplug one and insert the one from the assembly? Which you could record the process of shocking up closer but thanks anyway.

The clock spring has an available socket and this is where you plug the connector on the harness that comes with the buttons.

I have never seen a gen4 pajero with a 4m40 2.8 This engine is for gen2. Anyway this will not work on a 4m40 as it is mechanically controlled. This procedure only works on pajero with drive by wire throttle system.
@@xEmong3x Makes sense. I live in Costa Rica and the Montero V80 versions that were imported from Japan had the 4M40 engine 2.8 TDI with manual transmissions. Only a handful came with the 4M41 3.2 TDI. Thanks for the clarification!

@MitsubishiAsx-tb7vu you also need to install the brake pedal switch. Then for ASX you need to activate the cruise control on the car's computer using etacs decoder or MUT3 device.

Replace steering wheel na pang full options or GT na may cruise control buttons. 2. Replace brake pedal switch PN 8614A183 3. Route 2 wires from ECU cruise control trigger pins papunta sa steering column. Connect to cruise control on/off pins. 4. Activate cruise control sa ECU via etacs using MUT3 ot etacs decoder software.

Unfortunately that model doesn't have cruise control wired up. 2 wires going to the brake pedal switch is already a sign.

If you don't see the cruise indicator iluminate when you turn it on it is possible that the clock spring or the buttons are defective.
