Very good explanation and demonstration. You made so easy. Did mine in a snap. Figured the dealer would make this a money event and something a mere mortal could not do themselves. Thank You
You saved our lives while we were traveling in Europe!! Our rental car was not responding to the fab on our day 3 of 20 day trip. I tried calling the rental car company and was unable to get through, I saw this video and watched it . When I saw the battery, I was so happy that I had those batteries in my bag that I always take on vacation! Once again, thank you for the advice
Thank you, sir! The two sections are joined tightly and I'm always worried about forcing and breaking something, or needing some special tool. You made it easy and "comfortable."
Thank you!!! Even my inexperience in doing anything like this before, I was able to easily follow your video and change the battery! Can't imagine what this would have cost to take it to the dealer!
I know how you feel, that kind of stuff used to happen to me all the time, until I slowed down (like everyone was telling me). I watched the video and followed it step by step as everyone suggested and you know, it worked. It was easy to do. I think from now on I"m going to flush my pride somewhat and don't make out like I know it all.
Most excellent ,you made that easy peasy. I popped that bee-otch right open with the key, like you did. Thank you so much...In the morning, I'll try to start it with the dead key like you show in the next vid...JT
When I understood that I needed to lift the back cover off by simply lifting and prying instead of twisting then it made sense. I was able to easily replace the battery. It takes the same battery as my desk top computer so I had some on hand. Replacing the battery was only half the job however. It did not work at all until I pressed a reset button on a panel low down near the driver door. Pressing that brought it to life and it operated normally. I am still puzzled by the lower button on my 4-button fob that says "hold". I tried it several times and it doesn't appear to do anything.
Your fob is slightly different and I cannot get my case open. I have 2022 Hyundai Blue Tucson Hybrid-No plug in. My fob is silver on one side, black on the other, with 4 vertical buttons. The buttons are black as the underside is black. The button release is on the black back in the top center. I can get the key out easily enough, but reinserting it partially at various depths does nothing to separate the case. How do I get this open to change the battery?
Mine wouldn’t pop open. I used to change fob batts constantly at a parts store 🤦♂️ mine was glued or something. Never used so it couldn’t be a spill or sticky crap holding it together. Still haven’t popped it open. Edit: got mine open, but it nearly broke the shell. Be careful if yours doesn’t want to go. Maybe freezing or warming in the sun would help.
I don’t know squat about vehicles or how to do stuff like this. You made it so simple. Got my battery changed in seconds. Thanks so much!
Very happy the video helped you

Yeah, the dealer would definitely try to make this a money event. I'm glad the video helped you out

Amazing! You had the batteries with you already? That’s being prepared
Thank you !!! Instead of going to the dealership waiting forever and paying them I had a battery laying around and did this myself !!
This is awesome! You saved some money too
Thanks for a great tutorial. It is short and to the point. I wondered which way to pry it open without breaking the damn thing.

You may need a screwdriver to pop it open
This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Worked well

I’m going to try this on my 21 Tucson fob, the button response has been inconsistent the past few days.
This helped me.thank you
Glad it helped

This is very appreciated
Wish I knew this, I marred up my other remote trying to pop it for a battery replacement.
Do you know where else we can buy batteries besides online ?
Walmart
Dollar store or hardware store
You are a motherchucking genius!

I watched the video and i could not do it. I have a 2022 Kona and it isn't the same as the fob that he showed
Getting the battery out of the package was harder than opening the FOB lol who designs this stuff?
😂 Yeah! Box cutters or scissors would help 👍🏼
Doesn't work for i35x
Thanks for letting me know

First, check to see that you installed the battery correctly. Hopefully not upside down
I broke mine while trying.
I'm sorry to hear that
