Incredible comparison, thanks. I don't see too much difference except in extreme situations like macro, 30x zoom or looking at small details on a 300% crop. For first time if you buy the vanilla model barely wont miss photo/video cuality. Probably you will never amortize the extra options/ quality that offers the Ultra model.
I got the s22 today and besides the battery life being sub par (charges so freaking fast though) and the speaker could be better. No other complaints. It's amazing. I have tiny hands. I miss that crop factor though 😭 I should have probably waited for the s23 but I'm happy with it.

Nice comparison ! For nature pics, which is what interests me, the results are certainly very close, with only a subtle color difference at times. 5 days in on my S22 and it's a "keeper",n a worthy upgrade from my Pixel4A....glad I returned the Pixel6P and Ip13P.

This was just the video I needed. Thank you so much. My issue is that I have smaller hands and need a smaller phone and I actually like the look of the S22 better. I wish that the camera features were offered in a smaller phone for us gals with tiny hands and arthritis too. Bigger isn't always better in my humble opinion. Lol.

I want to ask you on 7:20 thT switching between the leaves and thr handle, why does s22 keep the focus good on the background while s22ultra ignores the background and the leaves while focusing on the til. Is it issue between switching cameras or?? What camera is rrsponsible
I wish they would still get rid of the shutter lag, it's been years already still not fixed. Also jelly effect on stabilization on Android just sucks and motion blur in photos needs to be like the Pixel 6 Pro.
My experience has been their AI takes care of the shutter in most instances as I've got photos of my dog as she moves like in the screen recording in this video. Pro mode even without changing anything is faster. That said, I get where people are coming from.
Thanks for bringing back the zoomed pics. They looks quite similar, only in strong zoom ultra wins, but in main ultra might wins in minute details, but 22 vanilla hold his own quality.

Off topic,I read some comments and i dont understand a thing,some ppl consider a phone with a 6.1 display good for 'smaller hands',since when a 6.1 inch display phone is small!? An iphone 5s or 6s were good for smaller hands,i dont have Shaq's huge hands but i got pretty big hands and is comfortable for me to hold an 6.1 inch galaxy s 10 in my hands and use it on daily basis and not feeling it small at all. How big is enough on phones? 7.9 inch ? It's becaming ridicoulous....
Great job, subbed mate. BTW - It will help a lot if you put a thick, black vertical bar as a barrier between the images. Split it down the middle. It can get SO disorienting without it. (Especially the white building when it split. It looked more like a kaleidoscope than a camera comparison.) Thanks for the awesome tests!
just bought the s22 today and im glad i didn't buy the s21 fe the 50mp sensor is sooo much better and the 10mp on the front has actually a bigger sensor than the 32 mp on the fe.

I understand that some things that are missing may be corrected with Pro Mode, but many people don't use pro mode. This is why Apple and Google really focus on computational capabilities. Or! Samsung needs to take things to the next level. Put QHD and the smaller S phones with a 90hz display, and put a 4k screen with 120hz on the ultra. 4000, 4800, and 6000mah batteries. 20mp cam on the front for the smaller phones and 40mp for the ultra. Like really destroy the smartphone world! You can bring back the micro SD card slot and just have 2 models max of ultra phone instead of all these different sizes. 128 only for the smaller ones with micro SD, 256 and 512 for the ultra with micro SD. Samsung is getting boring lol

I am trying to watch the A52 and S22 at the same time.... I am baffled by the quality difference in low light and Im not sure what to think. Did you ever get to test both of these? Is it just me or does the A52 have more detail in low light? Could the s22 be better of you turn of the stabilization? 🤔

In this video difference is pretty minor. i have an s22 and my frnd got ultra... we compared it in same situations... day light.. low light and night mode... and the difference were pretty noticeable
Feel stress out when there is NO youtuber I search who do Point and Shoot video recording with default setting like a normal person do. Who many people and how frequently people use 4K anyway? No choice I need to do the test my self😔

I just watched this on my S22 Plus, quite satisfied. The S22 won the main lens with more details. The Ultra can carry its Zoom lenses.
The Ultra appears to have more detail in most shots, and video is the same. At least I like the Ultra a little bit better in this one. Thanks.Grant

For video, go iPhone. Maybe even a renewed 12 or 11 series would be a good less expensive option.

No, ProRes is Apples own video codec meant to provide full editing control to those who know how to take advantage of it.

I showed both auto and pro. At this point if 4k looks good or bad you can expect the same at lower resolutions.
