I just purchased this car and I love it! It's perfect for a single gal. I had 2 gas guzzling SUVs and to get 30 miles a gallon is amazing! I owned a Nissan Xterra prior to my purchase and Nissan are nothing but problems. I love my blueberry!!!!

This car is best for college students or hipsters living in the city. I highly recommend! 👏🏻

Bought it. AWD and sporty handling and a small package. No crappy CVT like Honda and Subaru, but I wish the manual were an option here in the states.

Seriously?? That's another oddity (see above). Canadian models do offer the 6 speed manual

They assume most folks in the US want an auto trans. The sales numbers of most models here pretty much confirm that *shrug*

@@FasterThanSoup They do but only in FWD. Which lets face it... in Canada is less optimal then AWD

+Nicolas Collin Meh, AWD is overrated. I'm in southern Ontario - FWD, snow tires, and decent driving skills are plenty for weather here.

You need to do your homework. After months of research I've found that the CX 3 has the best fuel economy. As far as the AWD taking a toll on the gas mileage it's only 1 mpg less with the AWD and from owner reviews(not pro reviews), the road noise is minimal compared to other crossovers. As far as technology. What you get with the CX 3, without purchasing the I-active package, is better than anything I've been able to find. The minimum for good tech in other major brands is avg. minimum of about 1,800 dollars extra and in some cases you can't just get tech by itself you must first purchase another package or you can't get the tech package.

Furthermore, there was a HUD shown, but not discussed or even a statement of what it was as far as I recall.
I may be incorrect, but I've noticed Canadian models do not offer a very useful arm rest while American models do not offer a very attractive multicoloured seat layout. Odd.

I love this little CUV but as you pointed out, the Mazda3 is an all around better car with more room and surprisingly the same ground clearance. Plus it gets much better MPGs. The ONLY reason to buy the CX-3 is if you absolutely love its looks and want AWD.

    • @danielmelendez3546

Or if you want higher seats than the near-to-the-floor seats in the Mazda3.

    • @PriscillaBijuThen

Mazda3 has 9 more horsepower (155 vs. 146), and very ironically, Mazda3 has better fuel consumption even though it has more hp (go figure)! Unfortunately, the looks and ride height of the CX-3 are favourable, so the question is, look & feel, or practicality?

  • @Alockbee
    @Alockbee 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

The CX-3 is a better car to drive then the Honda HR-V, but it's simply too small. It's not practical. I bought a Honda HR-V EX-L & I love it! I would have bought the CX-3 if the seats weren't so narrow.

I'm about to upgrade from a 2nd Gen Fit Sport MT to either this CX3, HRV, or Subaru Crosstrek. More practical space, ground clearance and better predicted reliability and resale favor the Honda and Subaru, but I'm so drawn to the looks and far better handling of this Mazda. Well since the whole point of getting a crossover is more practical space and light off road capabilities, I guess I'm favoring the Subaru, since it can be had with AWD and MT... I'm gonna miss those "magic seats" though.

I own a Mazda2 hatch, basically the non-lifted version of this car. Only buy one if you intend to use it as a 2-person vehicle most of the time. The back seats are punishingly cramped and not intended for regular use. Storage space is also pretty bad for anything beyond basic daily errands around town.

    • @Phrancis5

***** Yeah, we test drove a Mazda2 before buying the Fit. Handling was great, but yes, it was extremely tight and too small to be our primary car. The Fit was cavernous in comparison and amazing that it's considered a sub-compact. It's also a fun drive when bought in sport trim and stick shift. I don't really want the CX5, but I fear the CX3 is just too small.

Good for a mid 40s single man? Lol.
I love the style and look. Glad you test drove it, you answered my “good for tall people”question however, not sure if I would get use to the wind noise.

I love your video but I just bought a Mazda 3 5 Door because although the CX3 is sexy, it is too small!!! We had to be able to fit travel stuff in there and it is just too small. Dang, I love this design but CX5 would have to be the next purchase.

For large families/tall people, CX5 is your way to go. CX3 is more aimed to regular-sized singles or couples with one child tops (and I mean that TOPS).

I own a 2016 CX3...it is by far the worst piece of crap I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned many cars thru the years. Just to list a few problems...A/C broken...compressor replaced. Bad front wheel bearing..replaced. Navigation system is a horror. Back to dealer 4 times until they finally replaced the entire radio and nav. system. Steering wheel peeling. Passenger side wiper doesn’t clear windshield...replaced..still doesn’t clear windshield. All this for a $27,000 vehicle under 2 years old. Never again!!!

Pretty much any car in this segment has problems in some way or another. That's the problem when you create a whole segment out of pure fashion.
