    I'm not a Mazda guy but this is the best looking car they make!

    I recently purchased a CX-3 GT AWD, over a similarly priced GLA250. So happy and glad with the purchase!

    Mazda is definitely on top of the game these days. I wasn't expected to think I'd rather have an CX-3 rather than the German variants! Although, to be fair, VW helps the Japanese brands these days ;)

      +parsani Just curious: why did you buy it over the Mazda 3?

    • @parsani
      @parsani 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Protector of the Republic Thanks it is a very good buy indeed, and trust me I test-drove a LOT of cars including Audi Q3 :)

    • @parsani
      @parsani 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Bob I actually tried both, this is far more spacious. I am 6.2 tall and found Mazda3 a bit too small specially the headroom versus this guy is amazingly comfortable. I can actually tell you this is more comfortable than Audi Q3

    • @parsani
      @parsani 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Protector of the Republic The only thing that they can improve for next gen is a bigger engine but other than that I love everything about this little guy :)

    I bought the Cx3 over the hrv after being a Honda owner for years. Best decision I ever made. Just love it so far!!

    I test drove this car. It's gorgeous but very narrow and very loud. I ended up buying the Mazda3 hatchback, which is a lot quieter and roomier. Mazdas are just incredible cars.

    I wish they would have tinted the back windows so that it looks more like an SUV and less like a hatchback.

  • @TheAdventureAuto
    @TheAdventureAuto 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just wish it had slightly more space for being a CUV. Bought a Mazda 3 instead of this because it had a lot more room and similar ground clearance. This looks so good tho!

    Eventually I want to downsize into a smaller hatchback
    This doesn’t qualify as an suv for me nothing in this class does so maybe this will be on my list in he future 🤔🤔

    Great review! Bought a Ceramic Silver GT with FWD a month ago and love it! Apparently was the only one in the entire state of Ca. with FWD. Mazda seems to have only delivered AWD to its dealers initially. Averaging around 32-35 mpg in LA traffic.

      +Eliceo Herrera-Flores I bought a Ceramic Metallic GT also and I love it more than any car I've ever owned. Have fun with it!

    I think I like my Mazda 3 better. You can get it in a 2.5 and the seats also go down. The Mazda 3 hatch has a more sporty sedan look to it which is more of my preference. Awd is cool but 0-60 in 8 seconds... My lord

    That infotainment screen STILL looks like an after thought and just because Mercedes persisted on using it, did NOT make it more elegant on any center console whatsoever.

    Im not sure why they didn't tint the rear glass like all other cross overs.

  • @mss627

    I could get a pretty well equipped Forester for 27Gs. The mpg is about the same and I could haul a lot more TP and let's face it: Isn't that what we all need? More TP?

  • @heyitsme939
    @heyitsme939 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    looking into a small suv. if this one had privacy glass and center console storage then i might have considered it. my ford fiesta is a subcompact and even it has storage in the console. i don't like the hr-v because the rear door handles are too high up. i don't like the renegade because it has dual clutch transmission. guess now i'll go to the tiguan, rav 4, and escape.

    I was truly pumped about this vehicle having a 2014 Mazda 3 but after seeing videos and then seeing it in person I was put off.
    The styling is nice and would work for a couple, but add kids and it is going to be a mess.
    The one thing that really irritates me is that you cant get this with a 2.5L engine that is way more robust then this engine.
    Considering it's size and weight not to mention the addition of AWD would have made all the more sense to include the 2.5 (or make it standard IMO)
    Hoping the 2017 Mazda 6 doesn't disappoint that's what I'm after next!

    For the ones that are interested in buying a CX-3, these two acceleration videos are very useful th-cam.com/video/1eEgmXNpADs/w-d-xo.html (diesel) and th-cam.com/video/EGX7HVfaMBs/w-d-xo.html (petrol)

      +Driven Car Reviews: Thanks Tom, appreciate your prompt feedback and honesty. Hopefully #InfinitiUSA will let you make some reviews of their upcoming vehicles, cause it's been years you've reviewed one. Always looking forward to your upfront and practical reviews. Keep it up!

    • @DrivenCarReviews
      @DrivenCarReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ae Silvestre It has to do with timing. If I can't get a press car soon after a launch, my review becomes less relevant since everyone else and their brother has reviewed the vehicle. Notice I didn't do Mustang or F150? Same thing. It was six months before I could get a car from them so NYT couldn't justify doing the video. Something I completely understand.

    Good looking car but overpriced for a 2.0 liter engine. That model shown
    is $29k and no homelink available for a 2.0 engine. I repeat 2.0 engine.
    I paid $34k for a new toyota highlander xle model with v6 3.5 liter 275
    horsepower which is 135 horses more or almost twice the power. Manual shift
    +/- are opposite positions compared to other cars. I also have a Scion xB
    with a 2.4L engine for $17k... that is $10k less than the Mazda.

    2.0L 146 hp is pretty damn sad for $28k...vs my Speed3 2.4L 267hp $ $23k. No thanks Maz, I'll keep my speed3.

    It's not based on the Mazda3?

    • @markjwil
      @markjwil 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +scterka It's based on the Mazda2, Scion iA architecture.

    • @BobStevens789
      @BobStevens789 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +scterka I thought that as well, but according to Wikipedia it's based on the Mazda2. I guess that's why the CX-3 actually weighs a few pounds less than the 3.
