- I was searching for a secret Sentosa cave shrine, but found this instead!
Located at the westernmost tip of Sentosa Island, Tanjong Rimau is in the last remaining undeveloped coastline of Sentosa Island. Legend has it that when the water is calm, tide is low, the lucky ones will be able to find a secret cave shrine along that Sentosa coastal line!

CORRECTIONS:
1. The big slabs of rocks (at 2min of the video) are all-natural! Its called rock strata/layers. Its a sedimentary rock that formed layered horizontally, then get flipped 90° by tectonic activity millions of years. It can be identified as sedimentary by its layered characteristic because of the way it formed, as for igneous has no shape due to its cooling down from magma (credit: Ameer Hakim)
2. The colourful towers are Coastal Artillery Searchlights.

Hi sir, geologist here. 2:09 is definitely natural rock formation. Its called rock strata/layers. Its a sedimentary rock that formed layered horizontaly, then get flipped 90° by tectonic activity millions of years.

Oh my. I always think of Sentosa with all the man-made beaches but this part of the island is so untouched. And it comes a touch of history. I wonder if this is part of Fort Siloso?

Yes, this is near to Fort Siloso WW2 museum. The watch towers are not opened to public though. I haven't explored all the caves yet, there are too many of them!
@Erina Nagasawa Yes, that makes sense. I have seen a TH-cam video where people managed to climb up from the hill to enter the towers, but i am afraid that's actually trespassing, haha.

YOU CAN STILL GO THERE!? my father used to bring my brothers and i here all the time in my primary school days, we used to go during low tide and hiked abit or thread water along the coastline when its high tide from underwaterworld to get to the bunkers to fish, whenever my brothers and i were tired of fishing we would just explore the area. feelsgood to be able to see this place upclose again. great video man !

In all seriousness, this is awesome! And the big slabs of rocks are all-natural! Igneous rocks which formed at the bottom of a long-lost sea and that got crushed upwards at a weird angle when the mega continent of Pangea broke apart millions of years ago. (We got lots of those in Canada!)

A mysterious uncle from the secret cave told me that i must appear neat and tidy for the commercials, he cut it for me, and immediately gave it back to me again after that scene. Haha!

I remember a video couple of weeks about a large adult salt water crocodile. I don’t think it is that cool anymore to kayak around.

You can walk there during low tide, don't necessary have to paddle there. Regarding permission, hmmm, according to Sentosa Development Corp, it is needed. This is their reply:-

To protect the natural environment and ensure the safety of our guests, visits to Tanjong RImau is only available through guided tours by Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), or SDC-approved tours. It is actually accessible by foot. But if i am not mistaken, the Sentosa authority has restricted entry to that area (one can only visit by joining tour organised by them), so it may be easier to reach there by kayak or standup paddle board.
You should do one on the west coast ones. go walk on the trails

The caves should be tunnels leading to Labrador Park opposite. Used by the British to transport supplies between the two artillery batteries.

Thanks for watching! I used 360 camera mainly to create those "no drone no problem" shots with a long selfie stick, as i like the wide angle view (as though someone else is filming me from far). My one tip would be to get yourself a Telesin 3m-long selfie stick (2ng gen) to go with your 360 camera, you won't regret it!
