I LOVED THIS. Thank you so much for sharing! I am Australian. A few years ago my husband, myself and our young son were holidaying at the Shangri-La Rasa on Siloso Beach. I spent some time one afternoon at the wooded area at the end of the point near the hotel overlooking the sea. It was cold under the trees and the area had a strange energy. Later that night we could hear something moving around our hotel room, but whenever we turned the lights on the sounds would stop. All 3 of us were convinced there was something in the room with us that we could not see. At about 3am I went to reception, quite frightened, and they sent up 3 staff to search our room. They found nothing but insisted we move rooms (they upgraded us!), they moved all our belongings, were most helpful and apologetic. We only discovered the history of Sentosa much later. To this day we believe that the staff had experienced this type of event before and had a protocol in place for guests.

As someone who use to work at Fort Siloso for a number of years, all I can say is if you did your job in good faith, you won't encounter anything sinister. There were "protecters" (were because I worked there a long time ago). There were other attractions in sentosa that had more sinister vibes.

I used to work in Sentosa in 2015. Before the renovation of the museum. It was my 1st day and I requested to be assigned to be in Fort siloso. Before going to my assigned attraction, I was brought to the museum, there was a nonya bed and it gave off side sad/grievance feeling, and as I guided to the next hall, I noticed that there is a glass cabinet with lots of glass figurines and many CCTV pointed to that direction as I looked at it, I was trembling in fear and sweating profusely. I spoke to my new colleagues about the history of it, I was only told that there is a lady at night tend to stand in front of it and stare.
As for Fort siloso, the most uncomfortable place is always the surrenders Chambers as compared to the tunnels.... but overall I enjoyed working in Fort siloso even though that place is alittle busy spiritually.

My basic army training was in Sentosa.
It was call Blakang Mati then. Malay words for ‘Behind Die’.
Back than there was a Malay cemetery when you walk up the path from the beach. Misty, with all the tall trees in the evening. I find it serene instead of fear.
Come Sunday night I have to return to my barrack at Mt Serapong a 1 km stretch of very dark road with thick high tress on both sides………eerie walk even with a torch light. If you look back, it’s ‘pitch black’. OMG! my pace started to pick up.
Guard duty accommodation is only a tent for 6 persons. Middle of the night a land rover will sent some supper to us. Guarding an ammunition ‘warehouse’ in the middle of a forested area. 2 persons going on round at each turn.
All these eerie & scary happenings…but
I see no ghost. 🤢 Sorry to disappoint lah!
p.s. yeah, only time it ‘happen’ was my friend mumbled loudly in his sleep in the middle of the night. Work him up and he says he saw something at the corner of the room while we were on guard duty.
At 18/19 years of age than it scare the hell out of everyone. We stay awake till morning. 😂

I did my NS at Paya Lebar Air Base as previously called regimental policeman as well. There are lots of stories of hauntings at that unit with old guards relating the same stories been passed down to the next batch. The most common story was a soldier who shot himself during sentry at a really dark and isolated checkpoint which had since been deserted and also a story of a pontianak standing on a military patrol jeep while it was moving. The other popular one was a Chinese paper car trying to gain entry at the other main entrance located at Old Tampines Road, a stretch of road famous for hauntings. I had never experienced any hauntings at the unit before but a trip with my sergeant during vehicle patrol within a dimly lit deeply forested area creep me out. I did my duty without looking behind my back. The latest one I heard was from a new batch after mine been assigned to a watch tower. He heard a loud bang on the wall without anyone in sight. He made a call to my commander who offered some joss sticks hoping to appease the spirits around the area while my platoon mates smell a strong flower scent while showering.

I've worked at Sentosa for 7 years & yes, it's creepy especially at Fort Siloso, even during daytime. A staff has ever brought us further deep inside the Fort Siloso where public can't enter, the energy from that place was really freaking us out eventhough its in Broad daylight. And those days when they did the Spooktacular event at imbiah lookout, Fort Siloso, Images of Singapore, that was the scariest bt still fun. I'm sure most of the staffs have their share of scary encounters. I have experienced it countless times throughout working there til I can't be bothered anymore. 😂

It's recorded that a number of Japanese occupation soldiers in Singapore couldn't accept the surrender of Japan at the end of World War II. A number of them committed suicide at Fort Siloso. The first British soldier who returned to Fort Siloso when the occupation ended, found their dismembered bodies or body parts lying around.

C orrect me if I am wrong. This info was from some old folks told to me about 70 years ago. I am now nearing to eighty. Orginal name of Sentosa Island is PULAU BELAKANG MATI. which means something like REMOTE DEAD ISLAND. Because of the unsuitable name it was thus changed to Sentosa ( peaceful island )

    • @SupernaturalConfessions
      @SupernaturalConfessions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes that was indeed the real name. It got its name in reference to the island Tekukor which had many death, so Pulau (island) Belakang (behind) Mati (die/death) became the name of the current day Sentosa which is situated behind Tekukor.

I went to the insect kingdom in sentosa with my 3 year old son and my wife around 3 years ago. We were at a part of attraction roughly in the middle of the whole attraction when I felt something is wrong with the room, then my son points to an empty corner of the room and says: "there's a grandma here!".
We quickly left the room and to another part of the attraction. We rested there and played with the stick insects there. I thought my son had imagined the grandma. Then I asked him if the grandma is here in this room, he looked around and said no, she's not here. That's when we noped out of there!

First time I heard Singapore Chinese guy believe in kak pon. I tot many Singaporean Chinese would just brush away the idea as many are free thinkers and we are living in the millennium.
My first face to face encounter with 'langsuir' (sister to kak pon n less aggressive) was in 2010. The guy in this video is way braver than I do. When I first saw kak lang, I just froze until it flew n disappeared in a blink of an eye. At that moment I was speechless and forgot all the lines from the al Quran that I used to recite. Thank God it didn't take fancy of me or followed me around 😹😹. I like the way he narrated his stories as I could imagine the settings and the extreme nervousness he had back then. I realized that kak lang would avoid the torchlight.
It was moving around trying to evade the light that came from the torch. You can try that if you are caught in a scary situation again 😉

I'm from Malaysia, my encounters are short and less scary. It just bugs me every now and not that interesting.
I inherited 'saka' /unwanted family heirloom (jinn servant) therfore sometimes I could sense these jinn or unknowingly they choose to attack me. I would try to avoid from having these encounters as I find some of it rather traumatizing.
Yesterday, I was fishing in the middle of the paddy field until Maghrib adzan (dusk) and I knew I would be in trouble. Later I did have a nightmare but it wasn't too bad. I did scream on top of my lungs though..I don't fret about it as I got used to it.
Currently I'm learning and practicing Islamic healing. Thru this channel I get to learn how normal people deal with these unwanted disturbances and to see this problem from my neighbouring country, from different races and perspectives. Love it keep up the good job.

I love this episode. It's close to alot of our hearts because most of us would have visited sentosa at least once in our life.
I would like to mention about one incident when I brought my daughter who was then 2+ years old to the Mount siloso battery.
It was in 2020. We already had covid and there were alot fewer tourists around. I really wanted to get out of the house and decided to bring my girl to sentosa and to those free places. As you know, there's really not many free places in sentosa. So I'm left with few options like the beach and fort siloso to see the canon and the battery lookout.
Everything's normal when we went up the fort siloso skywalk. Woah, this is my first time going to sentosa after 10 years or so and I'm surprised that they now have the elevator to go to the top! I watched the forest as the elevator went up, and saw a few tourists hiking up the hill. Thank god it's not necessary have to climb up the hill anymore. Think my girl will be bitten by the mosquitoes infesting there.
The scenary at the skywalk was merely amazing. We slowly walked part it and reached some canons. Some of the canons have figurines, and some don't. I would assume that the figurines might scare my girl. But surprisingly, my girl is so so scared even of those canons standing by itself. She's wouldn't dare to go near it. And at 2+, she knows what a canon is because I told her and showed her on phone. We didn't even have a photo taken there because my girl was so scared of going near the canon. I really don't know.. so this goes without saying that I also didn't managed to really go into the battery lookout at one part of this area as my girl was telling me no no as I carried her and walked up the steps.
We sat at one of the shed and had our packed lunch there. It was pretty quiet except for some random tourists walking past the area from time to time.
To tell you honestly, i wouldn't dare to be up there by myself if it's not because the sun was at the top at noon. Can't imagine going up there at after 4+/5pm. The feeling might be really really different.

Hey lecherhao, there is definitely more to Fort Siloso... last time before Skywalk was open it was x10 more scarier cause very little tourist/guest would wanna climb all the way up the hills to the exhibits situated above. usually they will hike mid-point to the fire command centre and back down the hill to Surrender Chambers or main road out.

If PLAB is haunted, TAB could be worse. Being in an ulu part of Singapore, close to cemeteries, the jungle is even bigger than PLAB with a massive network of roads leading deep inside to hangers and other buildings. Some more, TAB was the first airfield to be captured by the Japanese after invasion. Maybe some bros who did RP duty there would have some stories to tell.

    • @ezekielk.3629
      @ezekielk.3629 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, I do agree TAB definitely have twice the fair share of horror but you did be surprise there isn't much as compare to CAB (West), SBAB and PLAB.
I generally think the SCDF Academy near TAB have x10 more horror confession then TAB

The sudden glimpse of the half-burnt woman he experienced might seemed far-fetched to some but I believed as I had such similar experience myself. But on a commercial plane instead. I was travelling on a midnight flight home from an overseas vacation. When lights were on for our regular night snacks, a burnt lady in tattered dress suddenly appeared strolling down the aisle (I was on the right aisle seat) looking visibly lost and menacing. She simply vanished as soon as it appeared for mere 1-3 seconds. I've no doubts it was no imagination. So do ghosts only dress in white? I would say that's fictionalized. They appear as how they would look when they departed from this world/dimension. Lost souls perhaps.
