Pre loved handbags are a good idea, but sometimes the shipping price and taxes make the purchase not worth it at all. I found some items, but in the total calculation, because of these costs, the price reached the original price and even more
Firstly and most importantly, I am just loving your 'new' voice and I hope you are starting to feel more confident and see that others appreciate and value hearing you. Your voice is just perfect! On the subject of preloved, I have been lucky enough to find some incredible preloved bags over the years that I have appreciated, cared for and enjoyed. Admittedly I am incredibly cautious about buying preloved now and I do feel that it is a far more difficult and risky market to navigate. At one time, fakes were usually quite obvious and careful checks and precautions would have been enough to protect you from being caught out. Today, that is absolutely not the case. Still, I would not want to allow a minority of dishonest sellers, fraudsters and fakers destroy what is a sustainable, conscious way of appreciating, valuing and shopping for luxury, historic and well-crafted pieces. For that reason, I will continue to buy preloved but with extreme caution.
Louis Vuitton Alston shoulder bag and a Hermes brown vintage wallet (I don’t even remember the namn 🙈)is my most❤️ preloved things but to be honest I havent’t used any of them in year 🙈 I just 👀 at them in the wardrobe and feel sore ❤️😍and take a cheaper (not😂) bag and wallet and go out ”in the Wild” But these are like my 🖼️ on the wall (wardrobe) they are just for my pleasure😀 In fashion or not❣️) Thank you for a ❤️ video😀
I've been buying luxury items for 4 years, and at this point, I'm very scared to buy second hand. 99% of my luxury items (not just bags) are pre-loved. The case of fakes can happen in boutiques as well, someone buys a bag and after a few days wants to return it but he/she are actually returning a fake item, sometimes even the SA's don't distinguish between a real bag and a fake one. About the authanticators online, they can make a mistake as well, I heard a story about a woman that bought a Chanel bag from the store and had it authenticated online and it came back as fake, so how can we be sure that they know exactly if our bag is real or not? I know that it's recommended to buy the classics pre-loved but think about it, fakers had planty of time to master the fakes on the classic items that are sold all year long during decades, not on the seasonal colors or patterns so maybe it's better to buy the classics brand new? Just a thought. At the end of the day, nobody wants to buy a fake in the price of a real luxury item. For now, I'll prefer to buy my luxury pieces from the boutique just because I have a few left to add to my collection, the only one I truly want pre-loved is a vintage Kelly that I can send to the spa at Hermes and if the will work on it, that means it's authentic.
I absolutely get your concern. Honestly, if money - and sustainability - was not the issue, I might stick with the boutiques as well. Superfakes are turning into my biggest fear in fashion. And I'm not happy with it
I’ve been buying luxury prelove for 20yrs especially vintage Chanel. However items are only from a few stores that I trust. Yes totally agree that the fakes are getting better & better, I tend to see them in sort after styles. A vintage is still challenging to replicate.
I agree. I don't have a lot of experience in vintage items but I'm contemplating on leaning more towards them these days - simply to avoid the superfakes lol :)
@@nataliesasha8216 I bought most of mine from Madam Milan in Singapore, I’ve been a loyal costumer for many years as they’re trustworthy. You can check it out online however I’m not sure if they courier overseas.
Another great video! I agree pre loved is the way to go. I have been looking at eBay for a LV speedy 30 but haven’t moved forward yet. I noticed there are sellers in Japan that have it seems hundreds of pre loved LV bags for sale. These are the sellers that have free shipping and free returns. But, I’m wondering, should I be concerned? Is the fact that they have so many a red flag? Anybody purchased pre loved on eBay?
Very interesting, I would just be careful because used items also absorbs the energies from this people. Nothing to do with spiritually etc but it’s just makes sense. ❤
I as a man, never buy would these lux brands. Especially the loud screaming ghetto flashy etc.. But growing up poor etc.. My mom always wanted them. So I brought used ones for her over time. I see it as only poor people cosplaying rich. Even rich don't wear this stuff. LOL Preloved :p. It's used :p. I dress with no brands visible. True story. My neighbor thought I was the super for the building I own. Since I take out my own garbage, fix my own stuff. He once gave me a whole 5 bucks for shoveling his side walk for him. Since I was doing mine. Kids get paid at least 20 bucks. I did it anyway for giggles. One day one of my tenants outed me as the owner of the building. After a decade of me pretending to work for me. He would bad mouth me as the owner etc... I never even meet the guy as the owner. Oh seriously ladies too many hand bags! Waste of money and time :p.
I would be happy to buy preloved stuff from online stores! But im sooo afraid to get a fake item. Vestiare collective workers for example cant differentiate between real and fake items. I heard so many stories about fake stuff but Vestiare Collective disagreed to refund money. Im pretty sure its the same with other online vintage stores. Sooo sad
I bought a couple of luxury items from Vestiaire before but never a handbag. After hearing about all these horror stories, I doubt it I'll ever buy a handbag from them :/
I am loving how confident and assured you are sounding after such a short time since you "came out" with your own voice! Keep up the great work!
Oh, you made my day! Thank you so much!!

I like The RealReal. Although I hate paying for shipping and their return policy is very strict.
Can you do a video where do you buy the preloved items? Thank you
Yes pls, I second that!
Sure thing!

@@perspectiveofme I agree 100%, I hardly buy luxury these days, too scared for now.

Do you have any stores you recommend. I’m looking for vintage Chanel too, however do not know where to start.

This is a great question. Part of me wants to visit Japan SO BAD because of this. I want to touch the handbags with my hand just to make sure

Agree, that’s why I prefer to purchase in store. Visually seeing the item & doing research gives me security.
