Hi Peter . Despite the savage pruning you created both a fine group and three fine individual trees. I liked the small bushes and the potential for observation as they take root and grow. Thank you.
I must admit watching from the beginning I thought it would not make a decent forest arrangement, how wrong I was I love it as you say it looks natural, the little group of trees ads a lot more character to the group planting. Thank you Peter, nice to have you back on home turf.
It’s a very good lesson digging into your decisions; also the white bag trick help so much to visualize the goal, I learned to use it for my little plants. Thank you very much Peter! Regards, Alessandro.
We had minus 35 in my region (Moscow) last week. The climate restricts bonsai hobby a lot. But we have a natural “bonsai master” - it’s heavy Mr Snow that changes the shape of branches and even trunks and Mr Frost that kills brunches and apexes.
Great work!!! I also rot down the leaves for soil as well as compost. It's cheap, natural and holds on to the water so I don't have to worry about daily watering.
Amazing again, mr Chan! Of course there is no such thing as a "final result" in bonsaï (I think) but the actual result is very much better than I expected, I must give you that! I had quite a few spruces myself and I was able to sell them after a few years of taking care. And so I learned that wiring spruce is quite a neverending story, don't you think? On the other hand: it's a very tolerant and very strong species and over here (the Netherlands) it's certainly not expensive. Furthermore: it keeps you going as a bonsaï lover...!
As always, looks like magic! I’m especially glad for the late emphasis on groups as I have just started a little maple forest on its journey through time.
Another amazing transformation! I picked up several dwarf Alberta spruce and look forward to working on them when the weather warms a little. Some areas I live have deadwood on almost every tree so it would be natural to include that feature in every bonsai based on those landscapes.
What a fascinating process! We have a similar eye. Perhaps due to the significant amount of time I've spent in Taiwan. I look forward to seeing how this group develops over time after such a dramatic reduction.
Loovvvvve it.😂 I appreciate when you share what rules you may, or may not be Breaking and when. I did a big experiment this year going against all of the rules pruning trees at times they’re not supposed to be pruned, digging them up potttiing them. I even did some air layering projects. I dug up and pruned at least 20 different species that are local, giving them a better chance. I also have a small indoor grow space where I took a few of my favorites. I learned a lot and having a lot more successes than failures indoors at the moment. And I can’t forget the cutting that I managed to get to root that is thicker than a pencil, not matchstick sized. I hope the bigger trees outdoors fare well. Thank you so much for all the wonderful techniques and invaluable information about tree species individually. I couldn’t have done it without you.
It looks great. The spruces high in the mountains often have more leaders or more trunks. Also crazy bended and twisted brunches - even the thick ones.
The thumbnail looks like Peter is about to drop the best album of the year
That would be the album of the year
Lol
😂🤣
Peter be growing and smoking trees fr fr
Straight outta herons
always wonder why peter thinks its boring to watch him wire and bend, I can watch it all day
I like hearing Mr. Peter think!
To summarize this video in one word: inspiring!

The forest is so beautiful. I like your Videos so much. Thank you Peter. Many greetings from Germany.
I love the way you created this one. The trees look good and the pot with the rock in front also adds a lot of visual interest.
that looks great.
Love it, and seeing the rock get to stay made me happy…reminds me very much of Canadian camping….always a big rock at the site. Beautiful. Thank you.
Excellent looking group, Peter. This is shaping up to be one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see updates. 🎉

What a transformation! Beatiful. Love it😍
I like that one with the twin trunks. Very natural.
I am really impressed how you create such a forest planting from the garden plants in such a short time
This is one of my favorite projects that you have done. I love the casual, rugged feel of it.
Love forests! And rafts! Excellent results 👏👏👏🤩👍😊
molto bello Peter !!! Grazie
Dear Peter , keep it warm and thanks ;)

An absolutely fantastic outcome. The planting looks so natural that you could almost walk through it. A brilliant video.
Preciosa composición, y la idea de los pequeños brotes me parece genial. Gracias por la demostración
I love this group you did amazing
Excellent!! That group would look fantastic in my bonsai garden.
I do love the weeping habit of spruces. I'm growing Norway spruce. So glad you wired the branches down. This grouping is just perfectly convincing.
Love it Peter

Beautiful work, love bringing down the left hand branch to make a bush too!
Great work!!!

Wow, that is a fantastic forest
Cool forest 🌳
Very nice!! 🌱🪴🌲

Amazing!!!
In my mountain neighborhood, I have seen 2 Ponderosa pines growing new trees from exposed roots on aa slope.

The god bonse ❤🎉🙏👍
Very cool. Can you root those cuttings?
yes - very easily.
👋👌👍
What is the name of this Spruce?
Our temp in winter is 16-37 degrees C!!! Any mid day sun is a NO NO NO!!!
What is "jin?"
👍👌👌🙂
Omorika spruce?
So you're saying the two Top bonsai masters are wrong for making Jin?
Thinking this will make a poor forest. No variation in the thickness of the trunks.
