As fun as he looks to play for the pewpew mechanic, at this point we dont need a third Spread dps, or the umpteemth hyperbloom driver; so it's him and Emilie splitting off on their own completely different path, using a completely new team archetype, that really makes them feels fresh and innovative in the dendro family.

But they do split off the revered supports of Pyro from the vaporise teams. Of course Mavuika will fix that but still, Benny and XL are overworked ATP.

I'm pretty sure in the livestream they said that's the plan for all Natlan characters (Kachina and Xilonen do it too), and I think that's a great idea Especially now that enemies are a bit tankier because of WL9, having more characters who have exploration utility means you can play different teams in the overworld without having to sacrifice damage just to get better movement

Mavuika is rumored to be off-field Pyro applier so she can use the support set and have good Pyro aura on him, but that leaves 2 slot for Deepwood holder, and a Nightsoul burst trigger, cause in order to trigger his A4 2 stack, he needs 3 nightsoul burst trigger in 9s, Xilonen has that in her Passive so i’m hoping the Pyro Archon will adress that issue too.
It's inevitable. I think the more concerning thing will be if we still see Bennett Xiangling teams in 2025, since that's when Mavuika should be releasing
You already don't need Xiangling with just emilie. Swapping Xiangling for Jean is just better for floor 12. Realistically we are ONLY talking floor 12 if we are talking about teams you need to have constructed decently... floor 9-11 might need aoe but you can throw in the kitchen sink and be fine. Jean, emilie, furina, bennett was the best performing team for me. Also comfy to play since I have fav on jean and bennett. Need Xiangling even less with Kinich/Emilie. And I'd be tempted to go with dehya and furina although bennett and furina obviously works too. Tiny circle and Kinich isn't super appealing to me. Furina and Emilie are fine since their constructs do damage while you are twirling, twirling towards victory even if you are messing up everything on kinich.
you need to hear this!!!! the new artifact set increase the crit rate only after consuming 1 nightsoul point and kinich consumes it only by using his big cannon so if you have high ping it won’t increase the crit rate on this hit and even if you do it won’t increase any dmg before the initial cannon hit!!!!!
I have a question about Dehya (finally about to get her from the selector). Zajef says to use Sac GS on the Kinich team, but every other resource I've read online doesn't recommend Sac for her and says it doesn't do anything for the interruption resistance. Is the Sac to just, I guess, let you cast the skill again for the extra particles? Or maybe to proc Millelith?
Dehya is my most used unit in 5.0 so far. she has yet to leave my main team no matter what other units I used, especially when everything in Natlan environment is trying to kill you
He's a really dope character and has some dope synergy with unique pyro units like Dehya and the Archon and with unique Dendro units like Emilie. Cool cool guy and kit. Dont need him but I like him!
So his skill is Zelda "Z Targeting" , he fires Dendro Mega Man buster shots while locked on to charge his buster, with full Nightsoul, he fires a charge Buster Shot, and you are trying to put him in the area that charges him faster.
Doubt it's good on either. Diluc's best team is plunge and even if you're playing Diluc without plunge most of his damage comes from his normal attacks. The same goes for Razor with most of his damage coming from his normal attacks as a physical carry, but his dendro based reaction teams are also far better which just scale with em. The high base attack is also bad for them since both of their best teams use bennet. TLDR: neither of their main sources of damage are elemental skill or burst and the high base attack feels bad. Also, Kinich will stack it faster than anyone else.
@@twigz3214 It's definitely good on Razor, then question is how good. Razor Quickload already has better team DPS than Razor Hyperburgeon in single target (and scales better with 5* cons). His Quickload teams should have near instant max stacks on the weapon anyway. Its an easy upgrade to Talking Stick or Serpent Spine in situations where stacks get disabled from burning damage. In those situations it should be competing directly with Beacon. It would have been unambiguously better prior to the nerf to the weapon's CR during beta that made it weaker on everyone with Bennett.
i think 4.0 destroyed our perception of DPS and support after furina and neuvi charecters like kinich and navia would be game breaking in 2.0 and 3.0 but is viewed as just good now (still 20x better than hsr powercreep)
Kinich is one of those luxury pull characters that looks like they feel premium to play, and that they deserved that 5 Star title, Hu Tao is one example as she has a unique playstyle + unique sprint. Im excited for him
I think Burgeon is his best option. You can run deepwood Yaoyao/Baizu, and Thoma/Xinqiu off field dps triggers on Kinich's autos during his elemental skill - more importantly, the Burgeon helps with his lack of AoE, and the team wouldn't require too many units that are heavily sought after in other teams (bennet/furina).
If they release a weapon like the sword of narcissism which does region specific mechanics for nightsoul, imagine how much better the characters holding that type of weapon would become just because they have acces to the natlan artifacts now
That isn't happening. Pneuma Ousia was a gimmick little importance for gameplay. But Nightsoul is more complicated than that. It decides the entire mechanism of the kit, which means a weapon dedicated to this mechanism will be too OP to be given away for free in a world quest.
The issue with Bennet is that if the target move just a little from its current position you won't cirle around the center of the circle anymore, and between that and the need to catch the QTE zone you'll lose a lot of uptime compaired to calc Impact. Both Kinich and Mualani are clearly meant to sell Bennet and Xiangling replacements Edit : I wonder why he didn't mentioned that he seems weird with Kuki as hyperbloom trigger since he look like he's gonna stay quite far from its target

Thumbs up for Zajef's comprehensive analysis of Kinich. I watched this even though I'm not pulling for Kinich and I'd say he's a cool and fun character to play from his exploration stuff to combat. Too bad I'm not looking to replace Alhaitham as my main Dendro dps and I got Emilie for the Burning team, so I have to skip him, also given that Xilonen will be arriving which I am most hyped for.
we have to keep in mind that these units (mualani, kinnich) will proabbaly be heavily buffed by other natlan units and especially the archon wielding the new dmg bonus set so their power lvls rn are basically future investment
So it's better to wait for those characters if they actually do buff them rather than making assumptions, possibly getting disappointed and wasting your primogems.

I think thoma is the overall best flex slot in his teams especially if u use serpent spine as I do . He gives all what u need : dendro shred , fav , shield from random hits ( wich prevents losing stacks on kinich ) and short onfield time

HHey Zajef ppreciate the pre-release analysis, for future ones could you speak on potential kits that the character would appreciate. I feel like this topic would really add to the theory craft portion and add excitement.
Dehya is nice because she not only has off field pyro application but she also mitigates damage to herself while her field is active, plus she increases resistance to interruption, so she is essentially able to replace a shield character while also being a pyro applicator for him. I think ultimately I'll be using Kinich, Dehya, Nahida, and Bennett.
i have questions: 1). 4 set obsidian give crit when consume night soul,while kinich the mechanic is the opposite, he collects night souls then buster.is obsidian better than unfinished? 2).Will Kinich's skill hit enemies that standing close together after Kazuha's skill? 3).is kinich's skill anti CC ?
I might just try and pull Kinich for the dumbest reason ever, hear me out. I wasn't planning on getting Kinich at all, but the 24th of September will be the anniversary of my last early 5-star (Zhongli in 4.0). I'm really tempted to pull all the way up to 73 pity on that day, just to see if I can get another early on the anniversary of my last one, or even just to be able to say with certainty the Game screwed me over for a year straight.
I skipped Emilie for Kinich. So no Emilie for my team. I got Verdict but didn't want Navia. So I'll be using a Geo unit, probably just Kachina for the 40% dmg bonus.
Looks fun to play, has a sick burst animation, and I have units for him and likely will get better ones later, all in all looking forward, I may still do the responsible wisher thing and wait till end of banner till I know the 5.1 five stars (other than xiolonen) just in case
how is this issue burgeon does significantly less dmg than burning teams and hyperbloom does even less dmg for kinich Emile was never made to working with blooms so she is not competing with it for slot in a team especially considering you are going into teams that use her expecting to play burning not hyperbloom
Pretty sure burgeon does more off field damage than Emilie's especially because AoE. Just waiting for a better pyro trigger. Also Hyperbloom is just hyperbloom no explanation. Run baizhu furina and kuki when he does release and you'll see what I mean.@@TybossMaster
@@almightynoob1631have Emilie, also have a couple pyro units built for burgeon, and nah it is not even close to the same damage, Emilie damage is just better by a long shot. She's single target is the only thing, but her burst does decent aoe and it's easy to use it every rotation.
@@almightynoob1631 This is not true. Thoma is dealing around 100k burgeon damage in kinich teams while emilie does 400k+. Emilie has pretty decent aoe with burst and Kinich can generate particle for her.

Could you please talk about er issues and er requirements, even if or a short while. It helps to have some numbers or ranges for people who might wanna build for it. Even if mualani and kinich dont have to use it, It would be nice. I understand why, but it's still really funny to see you completely brush over his overworld abilities, in a game where 95% of your time is spent in overworld, on a character whose kit is overwhelmingly focused in his overworld abilities (just like Mualani and Kachina)
his skill is 18s cooldown. thats really makes him horrible at overworld. imagine latching on to hilichurl killing it in 2 second and now u have to wait 16s again.
@@sandz000 Killing an enemy while your skill is still active will make you automatically attach to a new enemy. But i do understand in farming overworld situations, still very annoying if you get caught in cooldown
Kazuha and bennet can group enemies closer and applicate pyro and while enemies are close, they'll get hit with kinich small aoe and trigger burning also and we can put furina on the last slot or shielder or another pyro healer like chevruese to get 2 pyro 25% atk bonus Edit: Xiangling, thoma, xinyan, jean, yaoyao, mavuika(probably a off field pyro dps), or yelan are also good for fourth slot

How far we went from 680% Raiden Q being big nuke to 1400% Kinich Q being not a lot of damage.
scaling isn't always a good way to tell how much damage they do like Zhongli Q have 900% but in majority of cases using it is a DPS loss

You can run deepwood Yaoyao/Baizu, and Thoma/Xinqiu off field dps triggers on Kinich's autos during his elemental skill - more importantly, the Burgeon helps with his lack of AoE, and the team wouldn't require too many units that are heavily sought after in other teams (bennet/furina).
If they release a weapon like the sword of narcissism which does region specific mechanics for nightsoul, imagine how much better the characters holding that type of weapon would become just because they have acces to the natlan artifacts now
That isn't happening. Pneuma Ousia was a gimmick little importance for gameplay. But Nightsoul is more complicated than that. It decides the entire mechanism of the kit, which means a weapon dedicated to this mechanism will be too OP to be given away for free in a world quest.

The issue with Bennet is that if the target move just a little from its current position you won't cirle around the center of the circle anymore, and between that and the need to catch the QTE zone you'll lose a lot of uptime compaired to calc Impact. Both Kinich and Mualani are clearly meant to sell Bennet and Xiangling replacements

Thumbs up for Zajef's comprehensive analysis of Kinich. I watched this even though I'm not pulling for Kinich and I'd say he's a cool and fun character to play from his exploration stuff to combat. Too bad I'm not looking to replace Alhaitham as my main Dendro dps and I got Emilie for the Burning team, so I have to skip him, also given that Xilonen will be arriving which I am most hyped for.
I hope they nerf the newest character eula.
we have to keep in mind that these units (mualani, kinnich) will proabbaly be heavily buffed by other natlan units and especially the archon wielding the new dmg bonus set so their power lvls rn are basically future investment
So it's better to wait for those characters if they actually do buff them rather than making assumptions, possibly getting disappointed and wasting your primogems.

I think thoma is the overall best flex slot in his teams especially if u use serpent spine as I do . He gives all what u need : dendro shred , fav , shield from random hits ( wich prevents losing stacks on kinich ) and short onfield time

Dehya is nice because she not only has off field pyro application but she also mitigates damage to herself while her field is active, plus she increases resistance to interruption, so she is essentially able to replace a shield character while also being a pyro applicator for him. I think ultimately I'll be using Kinich, Dehya, Nahida, and Bennett.

I might just try and pull Kinich for the dumbest reason ever, hear me out. I wasn't planning on getting Kinich at all, but the 24th of September will be the anniversary of my last early 5-star (Zhongli in 4.0). I'm really tempted to pull all the way up to 73 pity on that day, just to see if I can get another early on the anniversary of my last one, or even just to be able to say with certainty the Game screwed me over for a year straight.

Emilie's only issue with kinich is that Dendro has Hyperbloom and burgeon so we don't exactly lack a strong source of off field damage
how is this issue burgeon does significantly less dmg than burning teams and hyperbloom does even less dmg for kinich
Emile was never made to working with blooms so she is not competing with it for slot in a team especially considering you are going into teams that use her expecting to play burning not hyperbloom
Pretty sure burgeon does more off field damage than Emilie's especially because AoE. Just waiting for a better pyro trigger. Also Hyperbloom is just hyperbloom no explanation. Run baizhu furina and kuki when he does release and you'll see what I mean.@@TybossMaster
@@almightynoob1631have Emilie, also have a couple pyro units built for burgeon, and nah it is not even close to the same damage, Emilie damage is just better by a long shot. She's single target is the only thing, but her burst does decent aoe and it's easy to use it every rotation.
@@almightynoob1631 This is not true. Thoma is dealing around 100k burgeon damage in kinich teams while emilie does 400k+. Emilie has pretty decent aoe with burst and Kinich can generate particle for her.

hey zaz, love the video. I been watching your videos for a year now. I do have one gripe though that i noticed in the past few videos. Could you please talk about er issues and er requirements, even if or a short while. It helps to have some numbers or ranges for people who might wanna build for it. Even if mualani and kinich dont have to use it, It would be nice. For example, I might use my kinich as a of field dendro applier for cyno aggravate teams and so ER requirements would be helpful for me. Thanks.

I understand why, but it's still really funny to see you completely brush over his overworld abilities, in a game where 95% of your time is spent in overworld, on a character whose kit is overwhelmingly focused in his overworld abilities (just like Mualani and Kachina)
his skill is 18s cooldown. thats really makes him horrible at overworld. imagine latching on to hilichurl killing it in 2 second and now u have to wait 16s again.
@@sandz000 Killing an enemy while your skill is still active will make you automatically attach to a new enemy. But i do understand in farming overworld situations, still very annoying if you get caught in cooldown

Kazuha and bennet can group enemies closer and applicate pyro and while enemies are close, they'll get hit with kinich small aoe and trigger burning also and we can put furina on the last slot or shielder or another pyro healer like chevruese to get 2 pyro 25% atk bonus
Edit: Xiangling, thoma, xinyan, jean, yaoyao, mavuika(probably a off field pyro dps), or yelan are also good for fourth slot
