As Gay person this is the first time I'm listening an older Indian Gay person speak about their life. I feel so seen and a little less alone. Thank you so much for this ANI.
It doesnt matter whether you are LBTQ or something else. He is beautifully eloquent, pure artistry. Just wonderful. Thanks to ANI to bring him in. Just pure talent and hard work. The support from the family is just wonderful.
Thanks Smita and ANI for a heartfelt chat and for conversing with me in a most honest and organic manner. It takes guts to ask these questions, let alone accept the answers and tangents. Thanks for making time to speak with me.
Namaskaram Sir, hailing from a small town in south have not heard about you. But it was enriching to listen to your experience. The way you are seeing death and the whole life is so meaningful. Wish you many more years with all the happiness you want. Would like to try ur recipes sometime.
I am an avid reader of his columns in the Indian Express. This interview puts so many things into perspective and introduces me to his family, about which he lovingly writes about!
As a straight man who is married, but did dabbble if he is bi or not this podcast is gem, even if this pod doesn’t have so many views. I love it thanks ANI. Love you guy’s
smita may be a GODI media but you cant dislike her coz her body language and behavior is so down to earth and her smile can melt any harden heart, she is a true HINDU...sweet, calm and tolerant...ANI is blessed to have her..
Never knew Suvir Saran Sir has such an endearing personality and kudos to Smita Prakash mam for driving such an engaging conversation that even homophobes would be glued till completion😛
Mam please invite konda vishweshwar reddy from Telangana were he is a mp from Chevelle constituency Very intellectual person you would be amazed by talking or making a conversation with him and his ideas in rural development
Brilliant podcast. Hadnt heard of him before this, but WHAT an interesting personality!!! Surprise one by Smita (who usually birngs on only well known faces for the most part). Big thumbs up!
He is well spoken however....... Indians did not know about animal protein!!!? Seriously!!!!😂 My great grand parents also grew up with fish as regular part of their meals. Guests can be so dramatic! Btw more power to people who are ready to come out of the closet. It takes a lot of courage.
That first 13 years of his age shaped him what he is today, currently he is praising his family and friends and siblings but when he will close his eyes permanently he will CURSE entire circle ⭕. Parents who want their children to be produced as what their biological apperance is, must look after your children whether child is boy/girl right from the home only, just seperate boys and girls, let boys play fighting games and girls should have Ghar Ghar.
What an unimportant podcast… what was the point of calling him ?? And being a non vegetarian when you have gut with bio memory of a kill … and also when your root chakra isn’t balanced like this guy is what’s the use of speaking Sanskrit?? It looses its frequency and it merely becomes plastic showpiece… what a waste of a sawa Ghanta .. time pass ke liye bulaya !!
I don't see the need to harp and enquire so much about his sexual preferences, who is a Michelin star chef. Come on, Smitha prakash, just grow up, at least now. Don't pretend to be blade and accepting about an issue, when you actually are as curious about the people who tend to be different from others
So ur complaint is vegitarians are incapable of colonizing and torturing people. And that beef eaters are barbaric, ruthless people. Glad to be a non beef eater.

Love your cookbook, best 'kwalitys' chole recipe :-). This interview showed what a wonderful, wise and spiritual person you are.

Suvir, your conversation was delightful and so sincere.. All the best to you in life.
Wish you had sung a classical piece
Awesome, gay identity doesn't conflict with hindu spiritual values. I am a gay too and very devoted to advaita spiritualism of adi shankaracharya.
Tell this to Modi ji.
@@sadaapricot I distance myself from the hindutva movement. And the BJP became its own brand , hindutva 2.0

Blown away at Suvir's calmness and artistry.
The man with pure thoughts and feelings is suvir saran..
smita may be a GODI media but you cant dislike her coz her body language and behavior is so down to earth and her smile can melt any harden heart, she is a true HINDU...sweet, calm and tolerant...ANI is blessed to have her..
There is nothing called godi media, it's Congress propaganda
Her smile might have melt your heart, but it does not work on everyone.
Different tangents yet have everything that we love to watch. One of the most enlightened episode.
One of the most engaging interviews in recent times. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Brilliant podcast. Hadnt heard of him before this, but WHAT an interesting personality!!! Surprise one by Smita (who usually birngs on only well known faces for the most part). Big thumbs up!
Nice conversation! Very upper class kind of. Liked what he said about India and the original culture and the overall story. ❤❤
Do not judge a cook by his lover......Did any one get it? Pun on Do not judge a book by its cover and not judging people on their sexuality.
I wanted to Smita when she said, Hamara time mein toh google bi nahi tha. Editing done strategically.

It's Mumbai, not Bombay.
(It's official)
Thanks!
Watching this after politics podcast from months, this is so good 😍 not that we didn't like political podcast but it was too much 😅
He's so stylish.......❤
56:02 Absolutely true 💯
59:00 Kuchh bhi! Delhi and Mumbai's food 🤢 No swad no bhav only heavy price. Even villagers know to cook better than that!
He is awesome! Indian food !
Smita ji, Iyengar came out, when she heard Sanskrit 😂😂
She is not a tambram
@@Whaletank_ Iyengar are kannadiga not tamil
@@sriramsanthana1850 no sir. Both Iyers and Iyengars are Tambrahm. Smitha is from coastal Karnataka and mostly likely a smartha

Nice person esp. Break from politics
Fact is Hyderabad. As its unesco gastronomy city.
Everything was interesting.....bas mai har 5 second baad privilege aur guest ki family ki uss zamane ki ameeri dekh ke shock ho raha tha :)
ham education mein ameer the. Waise average middle class. Bahut average.
Get Pawan Kalyan
Wow ❤
this guy knows his shit.
Sameer's eating like an army.😀
I loved it 😁
Beautiful 😍
don't worry she 'ANI host' and her lord won't let you marry with your loving partner in India or rather throw you into jail.
Such an entitled guy but sensible !
No important national issue just got a male gender aunty for a pinch of wokeism to the show for spice … and variety ..
"..Vaccum cleaner ki tarah..." 😀
Is he Abhijit Iyer Mitra’s bf?
❤❤❤❤❤
Also it's downright mean and nasty to highlight it in your topic

Delhi is culture capital? Have you been to Chennai?
Chennai is not even the culture capital of Tamil Nadu.
In terms of food, delhi definitely defeats chennai. Chennai is not even that culturally relevant in TN. Ppl talk more about madurai or salem.
Chennai is famous for uncultured slum people 😂
Chennai is only Tamilian. Delhi is punjabi, bengali, up-ites, haryanvi's, Southern Indians, northeasterners and all parts of India.

they say only suppressed homosexuals put down those that have come out.
What is your problem with this content?
To introduce homosexuals in Indian society in other words to normalise it
