Agreed! From just getting into Blackpink this year and listening to all of their songs and people's reactions to them, it seems Jisoo is super underrated. Her vocal tone is so natural and unique. It has a dark, almost overtone, quality to it.

Jennie : wear rolling stones shirt, she's mainly doing rap but she actually versatile singer ( i like her tone cause she's more that hard tone voice idk how to explain it haha)
Lisa : Girl with orange hair, she mainly do rap also like Jennie, in some song she also do sing, her rap flow always on point
Jisoo : Girl with purple hair, she's mainly sing, have a potential to rap tho, her voice tone is dark, full.
Rose : She's wear the black shirt, her voice tone is very light, little nassal i thing idk haha, her voice easily recognizeable.
Mostly in KPOP, each member had their own role in the group, and for BP here is their role.

They made me love the song actually. I heard the original and I don't like it.
I love this performance because Lisa and Jennie wrote their rap parts in here when they were still trainee and were praised by their CEO for it. I believe they all arranged this song for their monthly evaluation as trainees.
I also love this because it highlights their individual strengths. You can easily differentiate them from one another: Rosé with her soft vocals, Jisoo with her husky voice, Jennie with her strong vocals and rap skills and Lisa's amazing rap flow.
The harmony, the swag and the sass? Impeccably amazing.
This also slaps the haters that Blackpink is only a group of visuals. They're actually very talented girls.

I love this performance too, they all sound great! And fun fact: Jennie and Lisa actually wrote thier raps at the end, so this performance really does show the girls' artistry. If you'd like to see Blackpink do a more stripped-back style within their own music, then I'd definitely recommend that you react to their music video for Stay 🙂

Jisoo and Rosé are the main singers and Jennie and Lisa are the main rappers. However Jennie and Lisa can also sing and there’s videos of Jisoo being really good at rapping too!

I wish BP did more of this... most of their concerts have a full choreo so it's hard to get them in a sit-down situation, but this performance really is a good way to see the difference in each vocalist.

I actually ended up liking their cover of this song more than the original, as for what you should watch next I'd like to hear your thoughts on their coachella performances. I think the songs where they change the arrangement to use a live band are especially worth checking out.

This is all Blackpink from their trainee days. As trainees they were required to perform a solo, dance number, and a group number monthly. When they performed this as trainees the then CEO of YG praised them, very rare for him. The rap lyrics added were written by Jennie and Lisa. This video is from a Korean TV show Party People hosted by the CEO of JYP. JYP is another major entertainment company (Twice is a JYP group) that works with YG at times. So I think the Host knew about this trainee performance, and thus is on his show. There are more videos from this show; a dance performance, interview talking about what's forbidden, and short clip of Rose' singing and playing guitar. Borrowed from another Idol on the show, supposed to be a duet but Rose' kinda overwhelmed him. The borrowed guitar was a $7000 Gibson!
Rose' is the one who usually plays guitar when they do things like this, and in the most recent episode of their TH-cam show *BLACKPINK 24/365* they spend some time just singing together, it's actually really nice.
@@DarthRayj As far as I know Jennie is the only other one that plays. Lisa mentioned taking some lessons, but I don't think she followed through. Also as I'm sure you know Rose' plays the piano quite well.

The group is divided by vocal line and rap line.. The vocal line are jisoo (visual, lead vocalist) and chaeyoung (main vocalist, lead dancer).. The rap line are jennie (main rapper, lead vocalist) and lisa (main dancer, sub vocalist).. Well the rap line actually can sing and sometimes the vocal line randomly raps.. Kinda weird girls but undeniably talented..

They all can sing.. Start by the left jiso the girl with purple hair was lead vocalist,.. Jennie also lead vocal n main rapper.. Rose was the main vocalist she can reach high note easily.. N finally Lisa who with orange hair.. Was lead rapper.. Also good in singing.. Rose n jiso not particularly in rap..

They all have vocal roles. Lisa on the far right is the Sub Vocal for the group.
All of them can rap...but only Jennie (2nd left) and Lisa are designated rappers. We've heard Jisoo (purple hair on the far left) fill in for Jennie when Jennie was ill, and also with them just sitting around being silly. Jisoo's rap skill are actually solid. Rosé (2nd right) is really not a rapper, but we have heard her do it a couple of times. It was really cute when she rapped with Lisa in their recent encore performance of How You Like That.
Since YG is a rap label, I would assume they've all had some amount of training in rapping. To a degree I wonder if Rosé can rap better than she lets on. When she's done it in front of a camera, she's generally grinning from ear to ear and being silly.
For her part, Lisa does seem to be a much better vocalist than her role in the group would have you believe.
I think rosie is comfortable rapping in english more than korean cuz its kinda more easy tbh
