Thank for the pointers, What i am doing is creating an E-pub book, which you try to eliminate using the Enter Key or Paragraph Key as much as possible as it could screw up the HTML coding when formatting a Kindle book.
I want to format one paragraph at a time to have lot of space between and paragraph between it. The problem when I Modify the paragraph and change the setting it does it to all the paragraph in the whole book......

I figured it out instead of accessing paragraph adjustment through font styles it gives me hole document setting.
You simple access adjustments through Home / Paragraph adjustments and this allows me to work with individual paragraphs.

The best way to do this is to create a new paragraph style for the “unique” paragraphs, then change the spacing for those paragraphs my modifying the style. On the Home tab in the Paragraph section, click the Show/Hide Paragraph icon. It looks like a backwards P. Hope this helps!

Setting line and paragraph spacing using paragraph group

how many points to set for spacing before or after to be considered as double space between paragraphs, but the line space is still single space

Generally, if you set the paragraph spacing (before or after) to be the same as the line spacing, it will create a double space between each paragraph. For example, if the line spacing is 14pt, you could set the space after to 14pt. If the line spacing is set to single, then you can set the paragraph spacing to be a little more than the font size. We hope this helps!
