I'd recommend playing Origins BEFORE Knight because it came out before Knight and Knight also upgrades the gameplay massively so if you play it first then try Origins you might get a bit messed up having to get used to the old combat again. Origins is more or less just a slightly different City in terms of gameplay. But the story is good.
I wonder if he'll be disappointed. That game still frustrates me to hell. But I also had 4 years to wait. Still doesn't excuse some of the baffling story decisions they made. I'll say it. I think Knight has a terrible story and feels largely separated. The characters act different, they look different, they talk differently, the tone of the world doesn't match with the first two or even origins, the villains somehow seem more simple and one note. "Scarecrow is a scarecrow, so every line of dialogue includes the word fear" "Mad Hatter is mad, so every line of dialogue rhymes" "Penguin had some funny lines in the other games, so he is now just a joke" I made myself angry. I apologise 😂
@He-Man00 As someone whose favorite game in the series is knight, I respect your opinion. Story wise, I will say, every other Arkham game has a superior story to knight. I also agree with some of the dislikes of the batmobile, but as a 10 year old kid in 2015 that grew up with the other arkham games, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world at the time. I actually do like some of the changes they made in knight and dislike others. But you gotta understand why they did it. They wanted the final game in the series to feel more like a dark take on the traditional dark and bruding comic book dark knight. They were going for a more modern version of batman different than the other arkham games, which could be compared to the animated series version of batman. (aside from origins, obviously). Personally, I like it and understand why others don't like it. To me it's the best game in the series that actually makes you FEEL like The Batman. The upgrades to combat, predator, and free roam gameplay was massive! You gotta love how the graphics hold up and how rocksteady included many neat details.
@@dizzyishere999 Gameplay is peak, although yeah, Batmobile was used a bit too much and not enough bossfights. It's honestly baffling how they didn't want to have BOSSFIGHTS when they perfected the combat and predator system. And yeah reason why they changed the characters and tone is quite simple. One: different writers. But most of all, they wanted it too reach the larger gaming community, that's why they modernised it, made a big deal about the tank Combat and driving, and UN-comicbooked it. The other games actually feel like Batman comics in game form. Knight feels like a video game featuring batman, that's the best way I can put it. And yeah if you were 10 when it came out then your stance makes sense. I had some time to let City dwell in my head, so that built up anticipation surely affected my opinion.
@@He-Man00I've often heard fans criticise Knight's story but never actually say what they dislike about it? Care to elaborate on what you dislike about the story of Knight?
I literally...just played through city 2 weeks ago and an hour ago stumbled across your first playthrough and channel. I'm about to watch part 3 and now you uploaded part 4, i love this coincidence
So hyped to see you go through this series so fast. These games are amazing, and it’s great to see you enjoy it. I’m not sure if you can, but I definitely recommend Arkham Origins. It’s not in the Arkham collection with Asylum, City and Knight, because it’s made by a different studio. But it’s still an amazing game with some of the best bosses in the series. It doesn’t innovate as much as the other games, but more of Arkham City is still more of Arkham City. It’s fantastic
Mr Freezes boss fight is one of my favorites in the entire Arkham series because unlike the rest he adapts to each attack so you have to do something different. There's no pattern to follow. You legitimately need to think about what to do to face him. Changing the difficulty makes it even better because the harder the difficulty the more tricks you have to use.
Bro I’ve never seen that batcomputer pop up in the freeze fight, I always beat him to quickly or never had to wait too long, they really thought of everything
What’s really funny to me is I played City last and kinda hated it at first but I got so used to the combat and had so much fun that I couldn’t get back into Knight or Asylum
@@frankwoods9680 i would say Arkham city first place and origins or arkham knight can take 2nd i loved knight but sometimes the car stuff got tiring no pun intended and I loved origins portrayal of bane and how smart he was i also like the setup of all the assassins after you and arkham asylum last but all of them are great to me. How would you rank them?
@TheRotisserie_Mystery I respect any list that places City in its rightful place.🙏 I would have Knight second, personally don't have an issue with the batmobiles tendency in the game. Story is absolutely phenomenal, nearly as good as Citys, only a few combat irritations prevent it from reigning 👑. Would have to go with Asylum 3rd, worst of the three, still great... obviously. And then Origins 🤦♂️😂, ngl I despise this game, I personally feel it was a complete character assassination, no pun intended lol, I don't like the premise, the dialogue, the cartoony graphics, the copy & paste everywhere (even the bossfights), but my main issue is with the Batman, to me it was a completely different character from Arkham verse Batman, Ark verse Batman was a LOT more mature, composed, intelligent & especially stoic than the way he's portrayed in Origins. People like to use the excuse of "it's early Batman." 🤦♂️ Batman gets all of his CORE FUNDAMENTAL training done BEFORE returning to Gotham, most importantly his mental, no Batman ever created (except Thomas Wayne) should ever express temper tantrums like a child the way he does in Origins... I don't even think he would act like that WITHOUT all those years of training, lmao.

It also very cool to see the game progress and carry upgrade to another , except origin you have to start all over again, but still fun.
By the way, all the people talking about Arkham Origins are really, really, overhyping it, it's about as good as Arkham Asylum at most, & I'm being generous. Just letting you know so you're not disappointed when you play it, because it's no where near Arkham City & Knight, gameplay & story wise. 👍
I'm pretty sure Batman would have never woken up had Catwoman not rescued him, and he would have eventually died in his sleep from the poison. It's not that he couldn't get the barrier off of him per se.
Fun fact: If you use detective mode during the Joker fight you will see Joker has no bones. This is a big hint that this Joker is Clayface in disguise. I actually activated detective mode by accident during the fight and seeing him with no bones instantly reminded me of a character in Arkham Asylum that would mimic other people and also had no bones. It was never outright said they were Clayface but with context clues it was pretty obvious.
Flo please play Origins first. If you play Knight first it'll make some aspects of it confusing since it takes some parts of Origins and include it within its story and side missions.
