Aren't you putting axial load on the bearings this way? A gear puller avoids that.

How did I think of using a pry bar but not using a hammer 😂 I work at an equipment rental place so I can probably borrow a puller for free/no deposit but sometimes I just want instant gratification and to not bum one off my boss

I put the bolt In the shaft and hit it and pry on the pulley
