Namek goku is good as truth said, people missed that part and only focused on saying that he sucks defensevely lmao. I think goku has great animations and stuff, just his defense not being the best, he is great to me. But truth was just saying that the defense wasn't good enough in the "Red Zone" which is harder than any event in the game, so I say that truth was just being honest throughout the video and the stats he had. But the eza will arrive in a long time, they could give him more defense, or even damage reduction. So that he could tank a little better, or even give him a greatly stacking. Then he'd become a beast.

His defense is terrible until like turn 7 most of the time. Good defense is 400k+, which is around the top 30-20 units in the game. Namek Goku's defense is top 30-25 level. If you get really lucky, top 20 level.

As a global player I’ve definitely seen my fair share of videos regarding red zone and know for a fact that the majority of units in my box are getting smashed right off the rip. Even the 7th year LRs get blasted before supering, so I’m expecting to get asshole ripped to shreds unless I pull the LRs, and even then it’ll still be hard
This dude is a liability on defense, and a liability in ANY of the red zones fights can spell death. I play both GLB and JP so trust me when I say if you aren't careful he can and will get you killed.
After seeing the datruth showcase, I'm comfortable putting him at 26 - 28. It hurts he's that low considering he's was my favorite unit when he released behind fusions. (7th anni lrs and Lr Vegeta and trunks will be my fav)

Hey truth i know this isn’t namek goku related but on turns where VnT don’t have their guard if u use their active skill in slot 1 then they will guard on all slots for that one turn. Please try it, I haven’t seen it but it should work like this. Love u nick omegalol

The problem is Goku they really want you to run him in slot 1 but he is food as a slot 1 character, also he needs to greatly stack that’s what makes Gohan so busted along with guard he stacks up so fast.
If only he had guard for the first turn like the year 7 LRs do. It wouldn't solve all his issues, but it would help get him get into the fight on better footing
@@hejhejaske that’s off a chance it’s not guaranteed you will super two or three times unless you’re in the first slot where he can get killed, greatly stacking would give him 50% each turn so if you get lucky that’s a 150% raise. Even if you do get the 90% buff he can still get smacked around, I have him rainbow’d and he still will get you killed.
I think the issue is that they don't come back for almost a year on global, like very very few top tier units remain too tier units after that long. Bamco is just kneecapping themselves by waiting until they're powercrept out before most people can even get them.

Is Namek Goku's DMG good? Yes. Is his DEF good turn 1? No. Is his DEF good in slot 1? No. Is he good for long events (LGE, LVE)? Yes, he stacks. His starting DEF is not great and has great ATK , but you have to consistently get additional SA to make his DEF tolerable in the fight later on. The standard for starting DEF and abilities like Guard or Intro Buffs, dodge, is increased due to the 7 Years and LR Vegeta and Trunks. I can't comprehend how fellow global players are baffled by this news

You should never put him slot 1 or he gets obliterated, but his main draw point is that he can double super guaranteed if he gets hit first, but your never gonna use him slot 1 so hes gonna stack a lot slower than people think.

My main issue is that you didnt comunicate what you were doing, first run you kepts complaining about his defense while getting 18 ki supers, which to me sounds like you were unfairly complaining while not doing anything about it. By about 5 minutes in i clicked off the video because of how you were acting in the first portion of the video. There is also the fact that most global players dont have him rainbow as you said and wont be running red zone for another few daya , i can say as a jp f2p player my units are mainly around 55% and i can stack longer on phases of the redzone so i see better defensive numbers.

This guy is honestly one of my favorite unit to use along with STR Vegito and the 6th anniversary LRs. While he isn’t as insane as AGL FP Frieza, he can still hit pretty hard in his 12 ki at just 55%. Hopefully we get a Legendary Frieza Event which will make INT Nameku the MVP due to his guaranteed crits against Frieza enemies.

I love the TONS of comments before people even finish watching the video, this is a 50 MINUTE LONG video, and it just came out for me and people are already commenting like 4 minutes after the video is posted, im dead.
i personally think that video showcased him very well in all types of stages. its just a shame that power creep aged him out so quickly. hes also one of my favorite units in the game. damage is nuts and yeah in a long event he can shine. but unfortunately not every unit can be good in redzone. i will say if we dont have full rainbow units and all that you will progress slower through the event and therefore get more attacks off building him up more but still doesn't change the fact that turn one he can shit dicked down but some of those redzone stages. not every unit has to be good everywhere!

I watched the video, this one and that one. I have literally seen that with my own eyes. I could prove that Namek Goku is better than units that truth considers top 10 using statistics (no bias, no feelings, raw statistics) but I really dont care that much anymore since I have done it already many times and people just cant seem to understand. Long story short (top 10 according to datruth unit) ssj4 goku maxes out at 390k defense and namek goku (top 37 according to datruth unit) has 400k defense on turn 3 even with bad luck on additionals.
@@dokkangod your calculations seem to be correct and he does surpass them quite easily in terms of raw defense and damage. However, you're forgetting that both eza SSJ4s (with Vegeta having better defensive capabilities than Goku) have a medium chance to dodge and counter super attacks, AND can disable an enemy's action once on 24 ki. With SSJ Goku, he has none of those mechanics and is essentially a sitting duck when supered in the Red Zone (aside from TEQ boujack) since a lot of times his defense isn't enough to tank very well even after several 12 ki stacks. Having 700k defense with no defensive mechanics (guard, damage reduction, dodge, etc) can make half your health in the Red Zone disappear, and generally the units with extra defensive capabilities are the ones that age much slower (teq Gohan (teen), str Goku/Gohan, UI Goku, etc). My point is, defense alone doesn't really cut it anymore in these new endgame events.
as someone who actually plays jp and has this unit woth 2 dupes, the red events disrespects this man even when i stack through the entire stage. he is amazing for casual play but against the hardest events, he needs time to even tank hits from normals

I feel when you said people dont like to admit the unit isnt top 5 because its one of their favourite is spot on, one of my favourite units is the LR teq Gohan and Goten, on release i pulled them 3 times in 100 stones so at the time they demolished pretty much everything, i still like to use them now when i can but i know they arent very good, at least compared to who they were on release which i feel some people in regards to namek goku still feel he is as good as he was on release if not better thanks to a 200% lead, which isnt the case unfortunately, while hes good, saying hes top 5 or even top 15 is silly when theres so many new and better units that have come out since. It also amazes me people comment on the video without watching it all complaining truth didnt do something he should have, like only stacking defence, or only stacking attack eventhough he clearly did both in the video, i guess adding time stamps to such showcases could help with this, as each part of the video could be titled differently so people could skip to those parts if they dont have time to watch a 40+ minute video.
When the 200% video dropped for this guy I was smoking that copium so hard wanting him to be better. Namek Goku is my favorite unit to use as a Global player right now and wanted him to be so much better so badly. But I absolutely have to agree with you and your assessment. I think that sometimes truth forgets that he can slow down in the red zone. You can hit turn seven or eight without reaching str Broly and properly stack with most other units

These people really say Namek Goku is good if he triple supers turn one because he gets 340k defense then turn around and call Ginyu mid after he starts turn one with that much, going well over 400k with some supers and stacking way faster
Ginyu without 60 percent support and without being on a full ginyu force team stacks slower and does less damage than namek goku. You give namek goku the same level of support people give ginyu and namek goku wins by a landslide.

You have 2 semi indestructible slot one units like recommended and guldo, and the golden friezas. The ginyus to deal most of the damage while being good defensively themselves, and the slot 3 units can change depending on the stage. Agl lr golden frieza, int juice and butter(if they can dodge), the ginyu lrs (if they have type advantage), and plenty of other units can work slot 3.

Many of those difficult content revolving around those teams will probably require you to use ginyus team. Special pose extreme super battle road is coming up and I guarantee you're going to need the ginyu force. Goku on the other hand has no teams that would need his assistance. Maybe exploding rage but were going to get buffs for that team very soon with merge zamusu and Gohan Blanco. Plus inevitable beerus cards. Etc.

Global players don't realise that in the hardest stages of the red zone, there is almost no room for you to baby units. Thats why you need good defensive units or a unit that stacks and has a lot of other utilities like agl kid gohan or teq k&c and even then 55% won't cut it.

This time Datruth is just flat out WRONG. Namek goku yes doesnt start out the first 2 turns with amazing defense, but the turns beyond that he is rocking 400k all the way to 800k defense and so on, which yes is pretty good. And datruth is also just a hypocrite in this situation since the LR EZA ssj4s have around 450k to 500k defense depending on links, so they are comparable to namek goku defensivly at the middle and end parts of the fights, but he never calls the EZA ssj4s out for poor defense like de does with namek goku, which is extremely odd especially when ssj4 goku without the GT links active is taking 160k from omega per normal but datruth doesnt want to talk about that apparently
The difference? The ssj4s have utility. On their active skills and on their 18 ki supers, they can negate the next opponent action. Another thing? It's small, and can't work on enemies that negate dodge, but they still have a dodge and counter chance. Yet another thing? Their raw defense can be similar as you said, but they have more defensive utility overall.
You have completely missed the point the ssj4s start out with high defense compared to namek ssj goku who has to stack and is seriously lacking defensively truth never said he was a garbage unit you just don't know how to listen an see things from his point of view namek ssj goku is insane for damage but if he's not stacking when he can hes gonna do badly as he's gonna get destroyed defense prevails in dokkan over high damage as the more defense a unit has it will always be a relative unit as it can go into any fight an live compared to high damage where damage is gonna be high regardless
i think the change in leader skill and powercreep happened so fast people are just finding it hard to wrap their head around the fact that units need 600k-700k defense in the red zone vs the 200k-300k needed in the god event
That really is what it is I love the introduction of 200% leader skills but I despise the ramifications it had on the game 200% leader skills fucked over a lot of the game and tore it open The only way for that wound to heal is time but I think Dokkan genuinely has a problem with power creep They can just invalidate a whole year of units with 1 easy enormous meta shift Literally before January 29 2022 300K defense was creme of the crop but now it's considered base damage to tank most red zone bosses normals

Well I have to be honest. I am a huge fan of Namek Goku and I really love this unit. I couldn't believe when I pulled him back then when he came out but the 7th Anniversary hurt him really bad. I am very sad how he ended up now and hoped he will get a nice comeback on a 200% Lead but well, he is better now of course but not like that what I expected. He is sure overrated but this card is a fan favourite and that's why the community is protecting him like this. But yeah I would say he is still a useable char in redzone but there are other better options then him for sure. His defense isn't that great anymore. Still a favourite unit for me.

I think goku has great animations and stuff, just his defense not being the best, he is great to me. the eventual EZA needs to focus on his defense. He'd be a solid unit then. He's just SV without the added bonuses.

His defense is terrible until like turn 7 most of the time. Good defense is 400k+, which is around the top 30-20 units in the game. Namek Goku's defense is top 30-25 level. If you get really lucky, top 20 level.

This dude is a liability on defense, and a liability in ANY of the red zones fights can spell death. I play both GLB and JP so trust me when I say if you aren't careful he can and will get you killed.
After seeing the datruth showcase, I'm comfortable putting him at 26 - 28. It hurts he's that low considering he's was my favorite unit when he released behind fusions. (7th anni lrs and Lr Vegeta and trunks will be my fav)
I tried multiple runs with him on the new trunks vegeta team on broly stages while keeping him in slot 2. Man just keeps getting me killed before reaching aoe broly 💀

The problem is Goku they really want you to run him in slot 1 but he is food as a slot 1 character, also he needs to greatly stack that’s what makes Gohan so busted along with guard he stacks up so fast.
Goku raises defense 2 or 3 times every turn, thats 60% or 90%, which is more than the greatly raise
If only he had guard for the first turn like the year 7 LRs do. It wouldn't solve all his issues, but it would help get him get into the fight on better footing

Is his DEF good turn 1? No.
Is his DEF good in slot 1? No.
Is he good for long events (LGE, LVE)? Yes, he stacks.
His starting DEF is not great and has great ATK , but you have to consistently get additional SA to make his DEF tolerable in the fight later on.
The standard for starting DEF and abilities like Guard or Intro Buffs, dodge, is increased due to the 7 Years and LR Vegeta and Trunks.

My main issue is that you didnt comunicate what you were doing, first run you kepts complaining about his defense while getting 18 ki supers, which to me sounds like you were unfairly complaining while not doing anything about it. By about 5 minutes in i clicked off the video because of how you were acting in the first portion of the video. There is also the fact that most global players dont have him rainbow as you said and wont be running red zone for another few daya , i can say as a jp f2p player my units are mainly around 55% and i can stack longer on phases of the redzone so i see better defensive numbers.

This guy is honestly one of my favorite unit to use along with STR Vegito and the 6th anniversary LRs. While he isn’t as insane as AGL FP Frieza, he can still hit pretty hard in his 12 ki at just 55%.
Hopefully we get a Legendary Frieza Event which will make INT Nameku the MVP due to his guaranteed crits against Frieza enemies.

I watched the video, this one and that one. I have literally seen that with my own eyes. I could prove that Namek Goku is better than units that truth considers top 10 using statistics (no bias, no feelings, raw statistics) but I really dont care that much anymore since I have done it already many times and people just cant seem to understand. Long story short (top 10 according to datruth unit) ssj4 goku maxes out at 390k defense and namek goku (top 37 according to datruth unit) has 400k defense on turn 3 even with bad luck on additionals.

@@dokkangod your calculations seem to be correct and he does surpass them quite easily in terms of raw defense and damage. However, you're forgetting that both eza SSJ4s (with Vegeta having better defensive capabilities than Goku) have a medium chance to dodge and counter super attacks, AND can disable an enemy's action once on 24 ki. With SSJ Goku, he has none of those mechanics and is essentially a sitting duck when supered in the Red Zone (aside from TEQ boujack) since a lot of times his defense isn't enough to tank very well even after several 12 ki stacks. Having 700k defense with no defensive mechanics (guard, damage reduction, dodge, etc) can make half your health in the Red Zone disappear, and generally the units with extra defensive capabilities are the ones that age much slower (teq Gohan (teen), str Goku/Gohan, UI Goku, etc). My point is, defense alone doesn't really cut it anymore in these new endgame events.

I feel when you said people dont like to admit the unit isnt top 5 because its one of their favourite is spot on, one of my favourite units is the LR teq Gohan and Goten, on release i pulled them 3 times in 100 stones so at the time they demolished pretty much everything, i still like to use them now when i can but i know they arent very good, at least compared to who they were on release which i feel some people in regards to namek goku still feel he is as good as he was on release if not better thanks to a 200% lead, which isnt the case unfortunately, while hes good, saying hes top 5 or even top 15 is silly when theres so many new and better units that have come out since.
It also amazes me people comment on the video without watching it all complaining truth didnt do something he should have, like only stacking defence, or only stacking attack eventhough he clearly did both in the video, i guess adding time stamps to such showcases could help with this, as each part of the video could be titled differently so people could skip to those parts if they dont have time to watch a 40+ minute video.
When the 200% video dropped for this guy I was smoking that copium so hard wanting him to be better. Namek Goku is my favorite unit to use as a Global player right now and wanted him to be so much better so badly. But I absolutely have to agree with you and your assessment. The problem with other people is they don’t want to accept the harsh reality that Namek Goku just isn’t good enough. Thank you though for giving him a the best showcase you could though. You knew this character was super popular and meant a lot to people and that’s why you really did try. Thank you for that but at the same time it’s such a bitter pill to swallow.
I think that sometimes truth forgets that he can slow down in the red zone. You can hit turn seven or eight without reaching str Broly and properly stack with most other units

These people really say Namek Goku is good if he triple supers turn one because he gets 340k defense then turn around and call Ginyu mid after he starts turn one with that much, going well over 400k with some supers and stacking way faster
Ginyu without 60 percent support and without being on a full ginyu force team stacks slower and does less damage than namek goku.
You give namek goku the same level of support people give ginyu and namek goku wins by a landslide.

I would say ginyus ream is almost just as good as the 7 year lrs. Yes alone the units on their team are individually better. But ginyus team is more cohesive. You have 2 semi indestructible slot one units like recommended and guldo, and the golden friezas. The ginyus to deal most of the damage while being good defensively themselves, and the slot 3 units can change depending on the stage. Agl lr golden frieza, int juice and butter(if they can dodge), the ginyu lrs (if they have type advantage), and plenty of other units can work slot 3.
@@Inviabledude45 the problem with the teams argument is that many of the teams that ginyu has are niche. Many of those difficult content revolving around those teams will probably require you to use ginyus team. Special pose extreme super battle road is coming up and I guarantee you're going to need the ginyu force.
Goku on the other hand has no teams that would need his assistance. Maybe exploding rage but were going to get buffs for that team very soon with merge zamusu and Gohan Blanco. Plus inevitable beerus cards. Etc.

Global players don't realise that in the hardest stages of the red zone, there is almost no room for you to baby units. Thats why you need good defensive units or a unit that stacks and has a lot of other utilities like agl kid gohan or teq k&c and even then 55% won't cut it.

Namek goku yes doesnt start out the first 2 turns with amazing defense, but the turns beyond that he is rocking 400k all the way to 800k defense and so on, which yes is pretty good. And datruth is also just a hypocrite in this situation since the LR EZA ssj4s have around 450k to 500k defense depending on links, so they are comparable to namek goku defensivly at the middle and end parts of the fights, but he never calls the EZA ssj4s out for poor defense like de does with namek goku, which is extremely odd especially when ssj4 goku without the GT links active is taking 160k from omega per normal but datruth doesnt want to talk about that apparently
The difference? The ssj4s have utility. On their active skills and on their 18 ki supers, they can negate the next opponent action. Another thing? It's small, and can't work on enemies that negate dodge, but they still have a dodge and counter chance. Yet another thing? Their raw defense can be similar as you said, but they have more defensive utility overall.

i think the change in leader skill and powercreep happened so fast people are just finding it hard to wrap their head around the fact that units need 600k-700k defense in the red zone vs the 200k-300k needed in the god event

Well I have to be honest. I am a huge fan of Namek Goku and I really love this unit. I couldn't believe when I pulled him back then when he came out but the 7th Anniversary hurt him really bad. I am very sad how he ended up now and hoped he will get a nice comeback on a 200% Lead but well, he is better now of course but not like that what I expected. Your video showed me that he isn't stacking that fast on a 200% Lead. I am saying you were fair to him in your video. He is sure overrated but this card is a fan favourite and that's why the community is protecting him like this. But yeah I would say he is still a useable char in redzone but there are other better options then him for sure. His defense isn't that great anymore. Still a favourite unit for me.
