    Pizza burger at Eldora has to be one of my favorites. Appreciate you explaining some of the differences and giving your opinion on each.

    What a great experience for you young fella, learn and enjoy, dont try to change the usa way, fit in and become apart of the system.
    Basically the difference in the usa when comes to safety, track prep, vehicle safety, personal safety, etc is how the insurance is applied, here in NZ its govt control so they are risk adverse and we have rules up the garzoo, i know OZ is slightly different but in the US its up to the track promoter and individuals to sort any insurance liability, sign waivers, etc or get sued.
    PS: l lived in California 10 years, spend 2 months over there every year, have done so for 40 years, even race up there myself(road course) liked you video 😊

      Yea mate its been awesome! Yes Risk adverse is the word I should of used, Australia is not government control but a similiar approach
      Thanks for watching

      Gravey? On ya' chips? Nah mate! Gravey and potatoes should only come together when the potatoes are baked, as in the sides of a baked dinner.
      And NOT at any other time, EVER!

    5:40 You can't have kids in the pits in Austrailia? I know i'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I kind of like that idea. For micro tracks like US24 Speedway in northern Indiana I can understand kids being in the pits. Normal tracks where there's not kids racing, I don't know about. Kind of think kids shouldn't be there or be at least 13 minimum.
    Been racing for quite a few years, seen so many kids not paying attention and parents being busy with their cars to pay attention to kids.
    The one day I had the life scared out of me. Kid ran right out in front of me, as I was getting pushed in the pits. I'm so glad the kid ran out from the left and not the right. I was running a winged car that day. I promise you I would've never seen the kid ran them over and probably would've killed the kid. Person on the 4 wheeler couldn't see the kid run out due to my car was blocking their sight. Then of course the parents wanted to yell at me and try to fight me, like it was my fault. Official seen what happened and kicked them out.
    Another rule that some tracks have and not all do or some don't enforce it. If you are not old enough to have a license, you're not allowed to operate the 4 wheeler. Once again seen to many kids on 4 wheelers, flying through the pits and doing donuts.

    I like a format, 5 hot laps your fastest lap is your qualify time no boring one or two car qualifying ,pill draw for first heat then opp starting spot for second heat ,high points pole for feature. It's called sprintcar racing not sprintcar qualifying !

    • @toddhobsonracing
      @toddhobsonracing  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes! Exactly. The USAC Format Is a little bit too dependent on Qualifying but you need a manual to explain it to the racefan!

    Canadian sprintcar fan here the sprintcar racing here is pretty much American sprintcar racing but its less common in 410 competition and its its more 360 sprint car racing following the 602 crate sprints which is our version of the 305s compared to the united states and it may be small but we have decent drivers and upcoming stars 🏁🇨🇦 and in terms of pits we follow Australian pit vehicle safety precautions

      Ohsweken speedway is Canada's home for winged dirt 360 sprintcar racing and is the 1 of 2 tracks in ontario to run sprintcars weekly though its crates mostly 360s are only homed at Ohsweken though we do have a series its doesn't have many rounds(southern ontario sprints) meanwhile crates race at Ohsweken and Brockville ontario speedway 3 hours away from Ohsweken and finally buxton speedway runs semi weekly wingless sprints its open clan which means you can run a crate against 360s 305 and 410 sprints and finally alberta does 305 sprints with racesaver the alberta extreme sprints and primarily runs at rad torque raceway near Edmonton alberta thought they do race one time in Saskatchewan so as you can imagine some regions in canada has sprints but is quite popular in bc though they race on pavement and drives 410s

    • @BillRize
      @BillRize 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We've got Bicknell V8 Dirt Modifoeds coming out of Canada to Australia. The 360 Sprintcar category is merged with LS engines with the CT535 being popular. The LS will eventually take over that category I'd say.

    Tracks In USA are privately owned and run as a business? So the venues revenue is made at the front gate ftom GA?
    Where as In AUS tracks are on government land run by a non profit or a club.
    Revenue is made from the Competitors and General Admision, With Little to no attendance or prize money.
    Where as in the USA If the Promoter of the event dosent pay prize money, Cars dont show up, Spectators dont show up to watch, So no revenue is made.
    Does this sound about right?
    Whats the costs in joining clubs/sanctioning bodys AU vs USA? Given the conversion rate$.

    • @toddhobsonracing
      @toddhobsonracing  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes Spot on!
      These are my approx costs
      AU
      Licence: $360Aud
      Club Membership: $100ish
      Car Rego: $400-600aud
      Total = $1060aud (approx $700USD)
      US
      USAC Membership: 350usd (Insurance for USAC Shows, waives $100 entry fee)
      STIDA Membership:$500usd (for all other races)
      Tracks also have annoying entrant fees which are like $30 for the year (lets say 5 tracks/series).
      My Total: $1000USD ($1515aud)
      All the US Expense is COMPLETELY Optional other than the track entrant fee (Say totalling $150). And the USAC Membership somewhat pays for itself eventually. But the AU Cost are mandatory.
