Sometimes I wonder what Michael thinks about Mikhail. I mean he is all stoic and a bit arrogant like Zero described, and you would wonder how he woukd react like "My reincarnation is supposed to be fierce and...etc, " that would be funny. Like a moment that he is just watching and is all devastated
So....basically this moment is an obvious callback to the Wyrm boss fight in the apocalypse branches of Drakengard 1. Angelus also expressed a similar reservation and fear about battling an Ancient One, and Caim also encouraged her to find her innermost strength and defeat it. They are even designed similarly (4 tattered wings, goblin-esque rather than lizard-like face, big chunky tail, hovers vertically rather than flies horizontally). I love Toko Yaro's fucked up mind. Knowing him, the Wyrm is probably a direct descendant of Ezrael.
The writeup for the verse involving the Wyrm in Drakengard 1 explicitly refers to the Wyrm as ancient, and (in dragon terms), not much time passes between Drakengard 3 and 1; Therefore, it's possible that Ezrael *is* the Wyrm. Branch D isn't the timeline that leads to Drakengard 1, so that would explain why he is killed here, but still shows up in first game.
@@aguywhodoesntexist What do you mean? He is only summoned in this branch, which doesn't lead to Drakengard 1. In the first branch, which does lead to 1, she never had the power to summon him in the first place.
@@azurebookllet9216 the one who lead to the first one is ending E which is not in the game but in a form of novel. Ezrael is summoned in that branch. Branch A lead to manga called shi ni itaru aka
I think Decad would get "excited" that no one is talking about his sacrifice. Nobody talks about it because ironically, that would make him happy...in a strange way. So we honor him by not honoring him
This fight reminds me the battle with the big wyrm in Drakengard 1 (Ángelus was kind scary too before fight with the Wyrm . Even the Wyrm and Ezrael looks similar. I love how YOKO TARO put that reference here ❤
April 19 - Cloudy I saw some humans today! They all really like songs and sing pretty much all day long, even though everything kinda sucks for them at the moment. I even sang for a while too. Their singing reminded me of Zero. It's funny-even though I forget a lot of stuff, I always remember her. I think it's because she was angry with me all the time. I wish she would have sang with me instead. I'm lonely, Zero.
I come back to this every now and then, I remember the singing from 8:30 . It's so good but I can't find it even after listening to the ost. It sounds like the battle version of kuroi uta in intoner mode, but stronger and better.
Well, Three does not get much dialogue in this fight, but damn, she does become more lucid, somehow: from the way she is speaking now, I wouldn't even be surprised if this alternate Three was able to recognize the horror of her work up to this point, and got high up in midair because she wanted to get away from what she has done. (Or perhaps, she just forgot, like Cent forgot Two in B, and that's why she is cheery.) If the admiration Two's soldiers display for Three earlier in this branch wasn't (just) them getting hooked onto a different Song, but also her becoming able to genuinely show empathy for non-manipulative reasons, then it is another twist of the knife in this tale.
The same girl that ran up on a village and killed family members in front of other family members to get the hate emotion she was looking for to get her gigs Experiment going. Same girl that robbed human souls and fed them to armisael which she called "fluff" in her prolouge? I don't think Three is really thar empathetic nor sympathetic. Even as a little girl, she was fascinated by a soldier doll made of human flesh unlike like her sisters, despite knowing the horror that happened to get that doll.
@@zanemiracle6121 So you're telling me the Utahime 5 were actually children at one point? Lol unless you mean agewise then yes, being 2 years old, they can even still be counted as little girls until their death.
There's this theory I have. This theory that the protagonists of the first game and Manah are the reincarnations of the Intoners without their flowery parts, each Pact beast representing something about the original Intoner, and each place the Pact was made representing the original place of death. Well, for some of them at least. This theory could explain how they knew of the Pact concept, even though ending E states only Brother 1 witnessed them first hand. And it might explain why THOSE people were chosen, out so many other candidates. That said, I think that with Leonard being Two's reincarnation, she was the one who died in the Forest domain like it was stated in Branch B (though I think Mikhail only sucumbed to the poison later due to posterior damage to his body). Her death caused a power surge in the One brothers and Three. Regarding the latter, the power surge seems to allowed Three to gain a bit more of sanity, prompting her to run to the desert in an attempt at redemption for her past sins by helping the people there (though I wonder if her help involved something scientific). The reason for this line of thought is because I think Arioth, who was born in the Forest but was dragged to the desert, is Three's reincarnation but even more unstable, her Pact Beast representing what her previous incarnation wished for, perfection. And what is more perfect than the joining and balance of two complete opposite forces ?
You know the characters have some problems when a dragon with the mental capacity that of a 5 year old is the voice of reason
