Peter & Paul, R.C. in Providence, R.I. has a 4 manual, 125 rank model. Absolutely massive instrument - happens to be the largest mechanical action organ on the continent.
Both are equally viable! Socks are better for legato for slower lyrical pieces as well as playing multiple notes with each feet. Shoes help with fast scale passages where you have to constantly go between toe and heel super quickly!
Most of the really good organ players are at least in their 50s or 60s. I can't believe how young this guy is, already playing like a pro!! 👏👏👏

No I was only in 9th Grade at the time and it was self taught. It is a Casavant!
