No... I pretty sure that if you stay completely still during the second main phase of possesed by phoenix, the bullets will just pass right by you. If, however, you start moving around like he did in the video, then you're screwed.

hey how do you get these extra stage, in any of these touhou games, I always see them in the menus, but cant figure out how to unlock them
