I read it she was found outside her home and passed away from what looked like a medical emergency. Tell the people close to you that you love them and give them a hug. You never know when it may be your last chance. 58 is way too young.

I read somewhere that she was an avid runner. I wonder if she was out for a jog when the medical emergency happened. As an avid runner myself and in the same age range, it's always in the back of my mind.

What a beautiful tribute! I lost my life long best friend last fall to a heart attack. She was a longtime nurse and only 55. I feel the heartbreak of the people interviewed regarding Alice. Such a sudden, unexpected loss. The grief is deep.

Did she really mean that much to them? I often wonder. Newsrooms are known to be cut throat as many workplaces are. When co workers of my friend came to her funeral, I already knew who was full of ish. My friend and I spoke about them prior to her passing. If you appreciate a co worker or employee, tell them or better yet show them. Treat them as colleagues, pay them what they're worth, give them time off when they need it.

My heart broke hearing Alice's colleagues and friends share fond memories of her. I usually disagreed with Alice's staunch Republican views, but I often learned something from listening to her debates with the opposition. Her intellect and insight will be sorely missed, especially in this important Presidential election season. I agree completely with what you said. While she sometimes annoyed me greatly, I found her commentary to be mostly honest according to her opinion and quite sharp. As much as I disagreed with her, I'll miss her presence.

I just read that for the past six months Alice Stewart visited cardiologists at hospitals complaining of palpitations and heaviness in chest. Doctors were not able to explain her symptoms, which often occur in people without heart disease. Her death was due to sudden heart stop.
She shilled for the shot, yet kept quiet with the sides.
Her life expectancy as a healthy well to do white female is 90. The jibby jabs changed all that. People don't just drop dead for no reason. Nature doesn't let people die haphazardly.
I'm sure they need to come up with some good spins.

As an Independent Republican, I have always respected the amazing work and balanced reportage of Alice Stewart. She was bright, beautiful, happy, and made others happy. She was a great friend. Great loss of an extremely gifted and wonderful person. She is gone way too soon. Very sad.

Jim Acosta started crying on the phone as he talked about Alice. She and Maria were always on Jim's CNN shows together, they spent a lot of time on his show on the weekends. I can see why Jim A started crying, he is such a gentle humble human being who seems to be so soft spoken and never yelling or argumentive with anyone, yet speaks up courageously when needed, I really respect and love Jim Acosta as a reporter, journalist and human being. So glad he got his own morning week day show..
There isn’t a more phony pretend journalist than Acosta. He can take credit for a large reason CNN is in decline, just like the US military. An Oscar winning performance Jim, maybe a reminder of your own mortality was way overdue

She was literally on the Situation Room on Friday this week. Omg. Life is sooo short. It is HEARTBREAKINGLY short! I was beyond shocked when I heard this yesterday. It’s like whaaat??! I never could keep track of Alice's arguments, especially considering who her clients were. But she was sincere.

Yes. We all die sometime. Although we deny it in our culture, it is a very meaningful part of living. If she was in her garden, that seems like a pleasant location, and hopefully no pain or long term problems. I hope when it's my time, I could have such a death.

Could be anything but likely a heart attack. The family may order an autopsy and release the results. It takes a couple of weeks. Take your statins.

@@dutchdna it's sadly very common in women to have symptoms of heart problems but not be diagnosed with them. One of my friends from high school had that happen to his fiancé back in 2016. It took him and her family completely by surprise. She had been in seeming good health and just died within a month. And I remember this well because I had been chatting with her on Facebook messenger, talking about our high school reunion that was coming up and how I was looking forward to meeting her. One day I stopped hearing from her and after a couple of weeks I grew concerned and asked my friend from high school what was going on and he told me that she was in the hospital. A few days after that, she had passed away.

She is one of the few republican commentators who I could listen to on CNNs panels without having to change the channel. She was consistent and came across as ethical. How sad she died so suddenly and young.
She was just a very nice and reasonable lady in life and in politics. She'll be sorely missed.
