The song turned out great! I'm glad you went through all the selections and explained how they worked within the composition. I must admit I'm one of the people with question marks over their heads when you got deep into the theory but I can see how easy it can be once I'm familiar with it. I liked how you used the same information to form two versions of the melody.

Thanks so much Patrick! Really Appreciate that! Yeah don’t worry, you are definitely not alone. The good news is that many write without knowing this stuff, it just focuses on the right options quicker than trial and error . But even then, this stuff is not as crazy as it sounds and I’m sure you can pick it up in no time. Thinking of doing a longer video (maybe series of videos) breaking down how to write with this stuff, what do you think of that idea?
Thanks, the melodies were very fun to work with as had to shape them timing wise to have them sound smooth with the chords and that was a lot of fun, so very happy you picked up on those!
Thanks again for your constant support Patrick!
      Thanks

Great little diversion here. You have so many creative ideas and unique ways of using social media. The solarized/thresholded time lapse video is so effective we can see your creative juices flowing.
I am tempted to steal your idea and see if we can make some pictures based on some simple parameters and then perhaps make an art gallery to go with the song.
I must admit the theory here left me a bit behind, but I guess driving a car makes more sense it you actually sit behind the wheel. However it actually works, it made a really catchy song.
There is a whole movie waiting to be written for this song, The intro is deffo the love theme, yet with the reverb it has a past distant quality of love lost. Then there's the middle bit that's the theme for the driving scenes around the race track or maybe the surfing competition or perhaps even better the skate boarding,. I can see Clint Eastwood as the former skate board champion bringing on the new young buck, sort of Karate Kid on wheels. The story of his lost romance interwoven with the new success of the young boarder. In the end Clint is reconciled with his old girlfriend (who now runs the local boarding shop, despite leaving him all those years ago because she hated his hobby) the boarder wins the competition... or maybe for you it's an ice hockey movie.
Can't agree enough about how constraints drive the artistic process. It's rising to a challenge that leads us to sleep well at night. Thank you for using your precious time and energy to make and share this with us.

Thank you so much Martin, I really appreciate that! And love the breakdown of the song, I hadn’t thought of it in such a way so it was really cool to read the story it conjured up for you. So cool! Thanks for that.
Yeah don’t worry about the theory, you are definitely not alone. And many choose not to learn it and create amazing music without it. For me it just focuses on the best options quicker than trial and error. And like I say in the video, it’s a fun game when you are stuck for ideas. The good news is that honestly you could learn this stuff in no time at all, I have no doubts about that at all.
I’m actually thinking of doing a video series breaking down the full process of how to write a song with this info, would this be a good thing in your opinion?
Thanks again for the very kind words and for your constant support Martin. It really Means a lot!
      Thanks
