In this week's video I install a Xprite 27 inch LED chase light on my Yamaha YXZ1000R. Most might ask why? Well, because they are cool! A chase light is great for riding at night. Anyway to become more visible at night is definitely worth getting. The Xprite LED chase light is 27" in length, has 2 colors; white and orange. It also has 13 different flashing patterns. The install of this LED chase light was very simple and I think pretty much anyone could install one.

I ran into the same issue with the length of the wires not being long enough. I wanted to use the rocker in my dash. But instead will be doing what you've done here. Its still out of the way and not very noticeable. Thanks for the tip!

Can you hook up the box the the switchable wired from the cigarette lighter so all the box only works with key on?
Does this one come with mounting brackets for a roof top rack ? Also can I purchase a wire extension so I can install this on my 2021 Toyota 4 runner ?
Do you know if i could cut the wire amd use my own toggle switch and still change the light pattern because i dont like the switch it comes with?
I dont know for sure. But I bet you could.
Long shot, but would you perhaps know which inline fuse to use. I purchased the same xprite chase light, and the gauge of the wire is 22awg , so do I get a 22awg inline fuse, and which amps. Thanks very much
I used a fuse block. But you can use a 22awg wired inline fuse. There is a link in the description of the fuse box that I used
Hello Bri sorry for the super late comment but I installed the same light about 2 weeks after you posted this video. I am currently still running this chase light but the clear plastic started yellowing, any idea of what product I can use to make them clear again? Thanks, love the vids!
That's weird, mine are still nice and clear. Did you clean then with anything harsh? Wonder what would cause them to yellow. Maybe is there protective film on the lense you forgot to remove? Not sure what it could be. Thanks for watching!
Hey briguy I was wondering at this current time how many powered accessories you're running and if your car is able to keep up with the power demand from the battery and still charge it? Or are you using a second battery set up or alternator kit and if so which one? Thanks!
I have pretty much every accessory installed lol It keeps up fine. I just have the stock battery set up. Nothing special. Still on my 1st battery too.
@@BriGuy503 oh man that's crazy!!! I'm glad to hear that cuz I'll be installing about 6 different lighting setups and a Soundbar and everyone keeps telling me the stock system can't handle it and I need either a second battery with isolator and/or the alternator kit. I know my battery is kinda old so I'll replace that with a new better battery and see how she holds up before dropping bookoo bucks on the electrical system lol. Thanks man!!
Yea I have light bar, chase light, stereo, headlights and winch. Now u won't wanna have all that stuff on while winching, but the lights and stereo has worked great all at the same time

Hi! I have a question on the fuse box what size gauge wire are you using and did you connected straight to the + of the battery.Im asking because I'm about connect the same fuse box but I dont want to be ON all the time.
I used 12ga wire and yes its straight to the + of the battery. Its just a fuse box, so it won't be "on" all the time, just when your accessories are switch on. It'll be on, but not drawing power. If that makes sense. lol

Is this able to be wired for a couple of the lights to be used as turn signals?
I dont think so. But maybe you could splice into it if you know what you're doing. Way above my head though lol

Mines been in lots of rain, so I'd say pretty water resistant.
