Prefer the stalking zone stealth to any social stealth. Feels more realistic to hide in a bush than to escape by sitting on a bench in full Brutus armor with weapons strapped to you. Also ambushing patrols in the frontier feels amazing.
you can still change your outfit but would it be better if its normal clothing? like try wearing young Ezio outfit, it blend in yes and look hella boring.
@potatoesblink3299 what other stealth games were there back in the days when social stealth was big? Metal gear and some of the Tom Clancy games. They all had guns. Being a medieval stealth game was enough to set AC apart and the parkour added to it. I still don't feel like social stealth did. Sure it was cool in trailers where you could blend in to a crowd to get close to a target but actually playing it just feels like a cheat button. How coutesans for 10 gold to instantly eliminate two groups of guards. Then hire more courtesans, rinse and repeat. Blend with a group of monks carrying books while you're covered in armor and have a sword on your hip. It suspends disbelief too much for me.

When i play odyssey i bee-line for the vacation side quest as soon as possible and get the knife that lets you one-shot anything. Your health is debuffed, but it's very much worth it to make the game feel like a stealth game again.
Hi! First I want to tell you that you did an amazing job with this video. Keep it up!. And second, I just wanted to tell you that I very much disagree with your criticism on Odyssey. With the right build you can one shot even Mercenaries with 10 levels above you. You just need the perfect Epic gear with the most critical hit damage and critical hit damage at full HP.(Also the perk that limits your HP to 25% but gives 100% more damage, and there is another one that reduces your armor but gives you more damage) I am level 78 on odyssey with a perfect build and I can very easily one shot everyone I come across. It is quite boring after a while because even on Nightmare difficulty I can just one-shot everyone. This build of course makes you a glass cannon, but if you use stealth, they won't have the opportunity to attack you.
Thanks for the complement and a rational arguement instead of the rage I normally get haha. Fair enough. My main point is that I don't think it should be something you should have to build towards. One shot assassinations should be the standard regardless of anything else. And its boring because the game wasn't built to be a stealth game so it's got no depth to the system. Thanks for watching
@@TheStickz6 I can see your point, but with One-shot assassinations the whole "RPG" part of the game would be dead. (Something that you can very well see in Valhalla if you choose to enable that setting). I mean for what do you have levels and items with different stats if you can just sneak on a guy with 20-30 levels above you and just insta-kill him. It's just part of the game. The game allows you to build your character in a way you can insta-kill everyone with the downside of being a glass cannon that dies in 2 hits if you get caught. It makes you choose a playstyle and I find it very cool that you can either build as a tank that just goes in through the front door and doesn't care, or you can go for a glass cannon build or anything between those 2 playstyles. Personally I find the stealth system in Odyssey far better than the one in Origins, because in Origins you can be spotted from a very far distance even if you are above them. Also the fact that they spot you almost instantly is very frustrating for me. Anyway, it is only natural that all people have different opinions and I respect your opinion, I just wanted to point out that the game is way more diverse than people think, and you can build towards any Playstyle you want (For example: Archer(Hunter+crit build), Warrior: (Warrior damage + Damage with weapon type + Crit), Assassin (Crit dmg and Assassin Damage + Glass cannon perks on items), Tank (with %chance to ignore half DMG + All resistances in the masteries) Or of course you can combine items from each playstyle so you can do all of them but excel at none. I also love the item set save feature the game has. You can create an item set for each playstyle and change it almost instantly with the press of a button. Stealth should go to Altair. All he had to do to stay hidden was act like he was praying and every guard, except for a Templar Knight ,would recognize him.
@@TheStickz6 Yeah, but thanks to the game developers, the mechanic to stay in low profile is to press the low profile walk button. And instant stealth in plain sight with no crowds to mask his presence.
Odyssey’s stealth only happened because in the last one it was to easy and to combat it they had half of them be able to on shot and the other half not
I'm going to keep it buck with you The Odyssey one doesn't make sense, though it is true that through the skill tree you cannot one shot kill everyone with assassinations, if you build the character correctly through critical hit damage and critical hit chance you can 100% assassinate every single character in the game on the highest difficulty without even using the upgraded version of the assassination perk, also if your argument is that's too far and you shouldn't have to do that in order to assassinate, The game is literally an RPG and depending on the build you have put together through gear and weapons will determine the level of difficulty.
I did build that way and even got the best gear and you cannot one shot everyone. I know its an rpg and that means absolutely nothing because in valhalla you can turn on one shot assasinations and it doesnt change a thing with your build. Origins also only had you upgrade one thing rather than a full build. Both are rpg's and did that aspect better. First and foremost it is an Assassins creed game and one shot assassinations should be 100% all the time everytime no matter your build. Thats a hill im willing to die on. @@TheStickz6Thanks for the reply I appreciate you, The best gear in the game is most definitely not the legendary stuff especially when it comes to armor, it's purple gear with the random stat lines, you need to spend a lot of time matriculously going through and deliberately building the character, I understand your point but! You can 100% assassinate every single character in the game if you built the character correct
@@TheStickz6 it's not really about the perks in a skill tree, it's about the passive traits on the armor and weapons, there are stats in the game called crit Chance and crit damage, if you make a good chance build you can have a 100% chance of critting someone with a 1000% increase damage when you crit, there's not a single enemy in the game that can survive an assassination when you have over a thousand percent extra damage
imo stealth is good, it's a shame it doesn't have more tools like return of rope dart and hidden gun and poison blade and poison launcher but still since it's in vr it makes you feel like an assassin, only the combat sucks and the hidden blade is overpowered. Just like in ac mirage/valhalla there is an animation of Basim/Evior swinging with his / her hand with extended blade at the enemy immediately killing him and you can recreate that which makes game easy especially with dual hidden blades
