    I bought the old model “20 years ago” and now is on my wife’s wrist. The Pasha has very unique aesthetics and amazing built quality. When I was buying it, the dealer showed me a Rolex Sub, when he put them side by side the Cartier felt way more sold especially the bracelet. He advised me to take the Rolex, I took the Cartier based on aesthetics only. Had I known the history of the Sub I may have listened to that salesman :-)

      I bought my Pasha in 1992. I have worn it waterskiing, scuba diving and while kitesurfing for 32 years and I never regretted my choice. I love the design and more importantly, the feel of the watch.

    The Cartier was the first sports watch that I have liked. The design of the Cartier Pasha is beautiful and original. I like the story that Cartier was designed for the rich Pasha of Marrakesh Thami El Glaoui.

    Offtopic - Audioquality
    Hey! I'm a fan for about 2 years now end enjoy your videos very much!
    Recently i invested into high quality headphones and i feel i have to say your videos have an issue with the high-tones. I'm by far not a sound expert but a friend of mine also can confirm a recognizable clicking noise with the hightones which once you hear it you can not un-hear. Like the one scratch on your watch you didn't know about until a someone else pointed it out.
    Your videos are a pleasure for the eye so i think the audio should be nothing less. Would be awesome if you could look into that!
    Update: i rewatched a video from januray 2020 and i can't seem to find a audioproblem in those. Maybe you got different hardware?

    • @NatiiixLP
      @NatiiixLP 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing when watching several videos, where you can clearly hear some undesirable noise. I feel like it's much more present in the left channel, and appears as a crackling noise somewhere in the back. I remember encountering something similar when removing background noise in post-edit using Audacity about a decade back in the peak era of Minecraft let's plays using, back then completely standard, cheap, low-quality microphones.

    • @sylinmino
      @sylinmino ปีที่แล้ว

      @@frazerguest2864 I honestly don't know why. Something about its design really appeals to me, but every time I put it on my wrist I feel nothing. Not about size either--I wear anything as small as 34-35mm, all the way up to 45mm at the moment.

    • @frazerguest2864
      @frazerguest2864 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sylinmino : Thanks for the quick reply, and I apologise if my question came across as disrespectful. It wasn’t meant to be.
      We buy watches for a variety of reasons. The history of the brand, (or a particular watch), the style, the design, the engineering etc, but most of all, i guess we’ve got to ‘feel’ the watch, to bond with it, to love it.
      At the end of the day, if for whatever reason we, as buyers, don’t ‘feel’ a watch, then we just don’t feel it. If we all liked the same thing then the world would be a boring place.

    • @miguelteixeira4134
      @miguelteixeira4134 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Itdoesntmatter the same wiki article you quoted also states several other iterations on the concept previous to 1904 when the Santos was created. When i say inventor i am obviously refering to a modern wristwatch with all the features modern day watches preserve, and built for purpose. Until then it was either jewlery bracelet with a watch enclosed or pocket watches with wire lugs. But if you want to be precise in the definition i will have to say you are correct.

    I wonder what the split is for Cartier between men’s watches and women’s. They must sell an enormous amount of watches globally to be fourth in the list by sales volume but I do wonder whether the split is something like 20:80 towards woman’s watches. The mens all seem a little feminine by design. The Santos is a decent masculine piece but this looks like a large feminine watch.
