Good overview, but you missed so much. Should have done a walk-a-round at the Inn and Ranch. The ranch has RV facilities, motel, restaurants, stables and much more. The golf course and date farm are worth a look. Each October there is a festival held to commemorate the wagon trains and settlers. 20 mule team, western art show, music festivals, golf tournament, wagon train. Much more. 49'er Encampment. Much fun.

If it's a state park, your senior pass is useless.. I don't ever recall having to pay to get in..

it was free when it was a national monument, when it became a national park the uses became more limited and the fee was imposed of course since there's a highway through the middle there can be no entrance gates, so many probably don't pay the fee for short stops

This is so sad. Back in 1970 my family took a trip in a volts wagon to death Valley and we stayed in a 200 year old jail with a cemetery behind it because it was raining so hard. The next morning everything was flooded and the dog had to swim from our bunkbeds over to my parents bed. This looks like Palm Springs not death valley

What gorgeous scenery. Topography captivates imagination...back when Oliver Reed's Hellraisers ..they probably could make area look tame.

Furnace Creek has one. And Stovepipe wells has another. But you will pay through the nose.

Shoshone it's 30 miles out of pahrump. Best to get gas in pahrump nv as it's cheaper than CA gas. .
