Thank you so much for this information. After my first $768 dollar mechanic bill and not having the issue resolved, I was determined to do my own research. Before this video I had replaced my oxygen sensors, Spark Plugs, and a complete Throttle Bottle. After all that, my vehicle still hesitated and sputtered at stoplights after about 15 minutes of driving. It also sputtered and choked out while backing into the garage. I purchased the intake and exhaust solenoids from Advanced Auto for about $100 and had it fixed in 20 minutes in "my" garage :-) Thanks a bunch.
My terrain does the same when driving for about 10min or 15 the car shakes like it’s moving back & forth at stop sign hopefully tomarrow my mecanic can fix it I just bought new intake & exhaust solenoid valves for about $102 at advance let’s pray i have the same luck as you do Brotha
I bought a 14 Terrain in 2019, had stalling after starting almost every time. I replaced everything possible, has 40k miles, replaced intake and exhaust ones, intake sensor, cleaned throttle body, replaced spark plugs, reset computer, new oil, filter, fuel system cleaner etc. Nothing helped until I read a post about putting about 8 ounces of stop leak in oil, think I used Bardahl no smoke +, has never stalled even once since adding the no smoke and been over a year. Not sure why, but try it if you have a stall issue, just replace about 8-10 ounces when doing oil change.
Did you just clean them with break cleaner ?? Also did you have stalling issues. Mine is stalling when I come to a stop and when I accelerated to go it has hesitation and sometimes stalls
I've never heard of that but let me know if they are still good. My replacements were amz knock offs and they haven't given me any issues. With the break cleaner I would be worried if I was going on a long trip. If it used for just local driving it's probably worth the risk
This is gonna save me a lot of money taking it to the dealer. Thank you. Also, do you or anyone here know why my engine shakes when I turn on the “Eco” while it idles at a stop light? Any help is appreciated.
Greetings, I am SO happy to find this; hopefully you can help me. I have a 2011 equinox (126k). Driving along and it loses power (sometimes goes down to almost nothing then suddenly kicks in and takes off, and other times winds down to 0 and turns off). Has done it a few times at lights and standstills. No engine or dash lights; new O2 sensor, filters, tune-up. Someone said "Throttle position sensor" ? I am not a car guy. All ideas are Greatly appreciated.
I have a 2011 terrain with 134k miles. Could this problem cause my engine to shut off while driving? I don’t have any lights on dash or codes car seems fine starting and driving but 10 mins it randomly cuts off and I have to wait about 5 mins until I can start again
@@FEDERALBOYSENTERTAINMENT no I have a bad Solenoid code coming the transmission control module. Been trying to find where the module is located for a week can’t find any help on TH-cam.
Your videos are helpful all times thanks for them🙏 but i need help if you can please! My car Peugeot 107, P0010 cod have no connection to VVT-ventil. I check it with digital diagram and there no connection in the cable/ lin. I don’t know how to fix the lin?
Does anyone know how to clean these? Only asking so I can by myself some time since I can't replace them just yet? Also, my Terrain has been stalling at idle. Like when in line at a drive thru. Any suggestions?
JUST USE BREAK CLEANER SPRAY IT INSIDE BUT ONLY AFTER SPRAYING THE OUTSIDE YOU CAN SEE THE HOLES BEHIND THE FINE SCREEN AFTER YOU DO, IT WORKED PERFECT FOR ME A WHOLE $2.95 cents lol 😆
That was the first time I replaced them in my wife's 2012 terrain with about 115k miles. I change the oil every 5k miles and only use full synthetic. These engines are ticking time bombs. If you didn't already know do a little research there are class action law suits and all kinds of stuff. How often you change the oil
@@WVUTampaAlum I change it at 5K miles and I will start doing it myself. Mine is a 2015 and I am worried about the rings and PCV valve. Do you know how to clean the PCV valve since it is built into the intake manifold and you can't take it out?
I have only cleaned out the pcv line few times. I live in South Florida and we don't get below freezing so I really don't have to worry about the pvc too much. One thing I did do was to install a breathable oil cap a few years back.
@@crand20033 there is a oil cap with pressure release gm makes, if you ever have a clogged pcv it will release pressure do your rear main seal doesn't blow. If pcv does clog with the vented oil cap, oil will come out of cap do you can see there is issue with clogged pcv. ACDelco Fc219 is the oil cap part number for the Terrain 2.4. 2014 and newer should have the updated fixes in engine to stop ring issues.
I've never had anyone mention an issue before. I am just talking and using the phone mic while working on the vehicle. I just re-watched it and don't think it's that bad. lol. Haven't created any videos in a long time, maybe next one I'll try to use a real mic or just voice over the entire thing in editing.

I would have used carb cleaner, a little more safer to use on engine components. Brake cleaner is strictly for brake dust

Before you install the new position sensor you disconnect the battery?
