JB didn’t make a mistake. This man “killed”his father, tried to kill him, framed him for murder, took his gold, tried to have him killed in jail…no, John B was witnessing justice. Sarah is understandably distraught, but John B is understandably satisfied here. No one did anything wrong in how they reacted to this.

Why didn’t she love him enough to understand that her father deserved that much hatred in that moment? She immediately disregarded what Ward did to JB, and left him for acting like a human being.
He didn’t make a “mistake” the first time though. Ward (at the time) “killed” his dad and tried to kill him twice. And I think this time John B comforted Sarah because this time ward was trying to protect Sarah. John B probably felt that she needed someone to comfort her because even though Ward is a bit of an asshole he still tried to save her.

I was so glad John B immediately went to comfort Sarah! I totally understand John B’s reaction in season 2, but she needed him to be there for her. I’m sooo glad he could be there for her this season!! ❤️

Yeah I wasn’t a total fan of that part, and I hated that John B called him a “hero” in the end just because Ward did one thing right. I think the grave was mostly for Sarah to be able to process though which I like 🤍
But think about If the show started a week earlier in the shows world, we’d literally had just seen a normal wealthy family Sarah b playing topper as an option John b and his group would be keggin on the beach we would’ve got to see more of them all surfing together actual pogue stuff,

But then having all of the mixed baggage of it being the man he believed to have murdered his father and set John B up for a murder and who also happens to be his girlfriend’s dad, it’s a lot to emotionally process in a matter of seconds to say the least. And clearly all of the pogues care about Sarah, but none of them jumped in to comfort her either because they’re in shock as well and have a different perspective than she does. Topper got there right after the explosion, so he didn’t have the same traumatic experience to mar him down. And on top of that, he’s obsessed with Sarah and was looking for any way possible to get her to have feelings for him again. So him holding her in that moment was probably for largely selfish reasons as well.
I honestly feel like the season 2 clip jacked everythingggg up for the rest of the time. Like if he woulda be there for her then I think the stuff with Topper might not have happened as easily

I feel like John being Sara’s relationship was so good at the end of season one in the beginning of season two and then I just went downhill in the middle of season two I don’t think they would ever get back to the way that they were, but I do think he’s become a better boyfriend

I love this but in season 2 he was in shock and kind of happy after like 10 seconds he looks over to help her and topper is almost kissing her so he feels insecure and doesn't want to look like the bad guy by pushing topper away.
but we have to remember that they are 16 year old kids and they just watched a boat blow up in front of them they were in shock so i’m not mad at john b for not helping sarah i think he was just in shock when it happened
S2 he was very torn because he had just seen the man who pretty much ruined his life die so he was kinda stuck in the moment but S3 he was more put together, ward had helped him and he seen a different side of ward than he had seen in S2 but Im glad they were there for eachother and how much growth everyone showed this season was crazy!
The thing is, because he found out that he didn't actually kill his father, I don't think he hated him as much in season 3 as Sarah did. So it wasn't hard for him to emphasize

OMG YES EXACTLY!!! There were sooo many times when John B was never there for Sarah bc he was too focused on himself. But every time Topper was there for Sarah. I completely understand her finding that comfort in Topper. I’m mad the writers had her actually cheat though. I don’t think the true Sarah would’ve actually done that. I’m so glad that John B grew and was able to be there for her this time!!! 🥰🤍

I don't blame him the first time though because the whole Ward and his dad thing was a big thing to him but in the second part of where her dad dies (dude is always dying like how do you know he's really dead sometimes) he got over it and a lot happened and i think him and Sarah honestly just got closer and more in love thought the episodes
But it’s the fact that when ward “Faked his death “ in the first scene JJ was the first to look at her.. thank goodness John B actually looked at her in season 3.
What people need to understand is that as much as it hurt John B, Sarah isn't her dad she is his girlfriend, it wasn't her fault that his dad died he should have understood and comforted her and I think topper was showing real love.
Seriously!!! Like I understand John B’s feelings and reaction but the fact that he looked at Sarah and chose not to comfort her… it’s so sad the only one who comforted her was her ex 💔

I love this but in season 2 he was in shock and kind of happy after like 10 seconds he looks over to help her and topper is almost kissing her so he feels insecure and doesn't want to look like the bad guy by pushing topper away.
The dude literally tried to kill his dad and took the gold from him and then framed him for the murder of the cop so I wouldn’t look at Sarah neither
He learned from his mistakes and he grew they weren’t even 18 yet
but we have to remember that they are 16 year old kids and they just watched a boat blow up in front of them they were in shock so i’m not mad at john b for not helping sarah i think he was just in shock when it happened
S2 he was very torn because he had just seen the man who pretty much ruined his life die so he was kinda stuck in the moment but S3 he was more put together, ward had helped him and he seen a different side of ward than he had seen in S2 but Im glad they were there for eachother and how much growth everyone showed this season was crazy!

The thing is, because he found out that he didn't actually kill his father, I don't think he hated him as much in season 3 as Sarah did. So it wasn't hard for him to emphasize

I think he realized his part in Sarah feeling alone and why she got vulnerable enough to cheat im not excusing it but everywhere John fell short topper was there. He wasn’t gonna continue to make her feel alone since she’s going thru a big mental battle w her family
OMG YES EXACTLY!!! There were sooo many times when John B was never there for Sarah bc he was too focused on himself. But every time Topper was there for Sarah. I completely understand her finding that comfort in Topper. I’m mad the writers had her actually cheat though. I don’t think the true Sarah would’ve actually done that. I’m so glad that John B grew and was able to be there for her this time!!! 🥰🤍
And everyone’s saying Sarah did John b dirty but a lot of people would never tell the boy/girl friend that they did that so she knew she made a mistake 😢
I don't blame him the first time though because the whole Ward and his dad thing was a big thing to him but in the second part of where her dad dies (dude is always dying like how do you know he's really dead sometimes) he got over it and a lot happened and i think him and Sarah honestly just got closer and more in love thought the episodes

What people need to understand is that as much as it hurt John B, Sarah isn't her dad she is his girlfriend, it wasn't her fault that his dad died he should have understood and comforted her and I think topper was showing real love.
YES exactly!! John B can be happy Ward died but STILL comfort Sarah and show her empathy. I liked Topper in that scene.
