I finally found this again, I had this back in the eighties. I love this thing. I just remembered I used to have it and went looking for it. Thanks.

I just found your video, and wanted to leave a comment about the Non-stick coating & the longevity of this wonderful little machine! I got one as a wedding gift 30 years ago (yesterday), and have used it periodically over all of those years. Today, I noticed that it no longer works, although I used it about a month ago and the coating is still in great shape. It lasted longer than the marriage, and if I don't buy a replacement, I'll now have to learn to boil eggs in a pan with water! 😆

Lynn Davies Since you never cook directly on the bottom teflon, there is never really a problem with it wearing out or scratching. I love this cooker 😘

if you use distilled water the teflon will last even longer; especially if you live in an area with hard water.

I've owned this for at least 8 years and never knew the measuring thing could be used to pierce the eggs.. lol. Its a great device, I just wish it would turn off automatically when the eggs are done cooking.

I can not get the thing to do anything but hard boil eggs. I've done it exactly like the directions say and they just hard boil. I get them as soon as the timer goes off, rinse them off and they are hard boiled. I did get a couple soft boiled eggs by turning it off before the timer went off. I'm going to try and put the pierced side down and see if that works better. My hens enjoy the experimental eggs. They love their own eggs hard boiled

I had that same issue, make sure the eggs you’re using aren’t too small. If they’re too small they’ll come out overcooked

Hi, I've lost my cylinder for measuring the water. Do you happen to know how many teaspoons of water it is for 2 soft-boiled eggs? I can easily do hard-boiled without the exact amount, but not soft.

Which end of the egg are you calling the "top"? We love ours and cook 7 at a time for 20 minutes to get hard boiled eggs. Thanks.

bottom of the egg is the side with the air blatter.

The bottom of the egg is the narrow side not the wider side. The wider side is the side you penetrate with the needle and then place the narrow side down (there is a reason that eggs are stored in their cartons with the narrow side down.

How do you replace the tray when it has become old and very used? My looks horrible and the water tray is very worn also.

You buy a new one. I threw out two when they got old. I used these back in the eighties.
