No one seems to be asking the obvious questions, such as why in an unequal society where there is high unemployment people would be desperate enough to turn to crime in the first place! An educated and employed person who can earn and provide for his/her family won't turn to crime, it's really that simple.

Sometime in 1998 same time of gang was active in stealing they came by night trucks as passenger from another state, when they raided from 2,3 houses and even hurt the owners, the people from every locality kept night vigil, signal was that if a thief is caught or seen moving in a suspicious way electric posts are bang upon to alert other locality. This tactic many thieves were caught and beaten up by mob after which they were handed to police, the thieves applied Mobil on their body to blend in the dark and to easily slide when caught
Do you remember The Saria gang, Suhib ilyasi did a show on that gang when it was very active. The gang used saria as their weapon and right after entering the house they first used to kyl everyone before stealing anything. I can never forget when such a gang was about to enter our house at midnight. Thankfully I checked the gate in time, if I was a moment late, then they would have been successful and my family 😢😢

Guns should be legal in India
They're legal in America and that doesn't work as a 'solution' there, crimes still happen, burglaries still happen even with the criminals knowing that the homeowners might be gun owners.
The real 'solution' is to first ask why people turn to crime, such as lack of education, high unemployment rates, no career prospects etc.
Guns are already legal in India just not a fundamental right. Basically not everyone's allowed to hold a licence.
