"Carol" was such a beautiful film. I applaud all that were a part of it.

"We are not ugly people" is such a key statement in the movie. She doesn't ask the audience for sympathy, doesn't antagonize neither Carol nor Harge, doesn't want the viewer to choose sides, but to simply understand the position they're on, don't presupose one is over someone because of their actions because that's who they are, they're not black and white in their thinking and so maybe you side with Carol because of the lack of liberty in societal mores she's never fighting a vilain but a person of his time and in the end someone who still wants to keep his honor intact in the face of society and what the ideal family-man is.

I really liked this movie! I've seen it a few times! A divorce & demise of as relationship is painful & awful for anyone especially when 1 of the pair intentionally uses the child as a weapon or as collateral against the other. I personally know how that works. It's so inhumane.
