"In an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s seminal novel The Price of Salt, CAROL follows two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves in an unexpected love affair in 1950s New York. I love this interview. Rooney is so special. Her performances are powerful. She's so intense on screen, as well as off screen. She makes one yearn to know more about the beauty and talent that abounds through her.

Mara was obsessed with Cate since she as 13 years old, I bet when she was in her late 20's she never imagine that she would be making out with her in a movie.

she did won the best actress award in Cannes which I think she appreciated it more as she think they have a higher standard judging in acting

The Price of Salt! What an interesting title! I understand the title is about Lot's wife being turned into a Pillar of salt because she looked back at the city of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible. Very interesting title just the same.

I couldn't care less about gay stuff but Carol was a great moment in cinema. Mara's Therese was absolutely mesmerizing. The movie is incredible looking, sorry to hear the film lab in NY closed. If the format of actual film is on the way out, we'll be losing something special. But that's "progress".
