For the price and features. This car is great. It's a good family car option. I also think Suzuki deserves credit as they offer decent warrenty and service plans too. The GL model is sufficient as it even comes with 6 airbags. For the top spec model, you paying extra for things you really don't need. The price for the GL auto is going for under R360k in Cape Town.
Whoever who is sketching the Suzuki designs needs to be replaced like seriously, Suzuki doesn't put much effort in their products like come on this type of phenotype in 2024 ..
Still looks better than most cars in that price range, if you want good sketches, phenotypes or whatever, pay for it
They understand their market very well. Nice bits and pieces translate into more costs, and that would inevitably be passed onto consumers. That's not their strategy. You dig Mandla?

Your reviews are very entertaining . Urban Cruiser slightly looks better in the Exterior but would buy the Grand Vitara
I feel Suzuki pushed the boundaries with the Baleno. The GL has standard spec the you have to pay extra for with cars that are R100 000 more. The GLX is cheaper than some Vivos when it is just as good as a Polo Life and even better tech than an R-Line. The R-Line exterior beats it comprehensively though and I prefer its engine + gearbox, but you pay almost R200 000 more for it.
And you'll notice how much progress they've made when you compare pre-2022 models to the latest facelift.

Thank You for Finally reviewing this car! I have my eye on it for quite a while now and was actually even looking of going to the Urban Cruiser until I saw the added airbags you get on this plus the warranty. I do think the engine is a bit under powered, yes its ok in the city but think on longer routes it could struggle esp in inclines. Still happy with it though and you have made my decision more easier. Keep up the great work, love your reviews.🙃

1st of all. Ads watched ga ke sure ka gucci mara fede. 2nd: cool intro song, keep them coming. Now the juice: I personally feel like Suzuki fumbled this one, if not the car itself then the GV brand. This should’ve just been the next Vitara at best and the GV left to keep its stature. I don’t know who’s in charge though, them or Toyota, maybe that’s just how the cookie crumbles…
The Grand Vitara, I suppose just like the Vitara and Jinny represented those low budget but off-road capable vehicles you could jump into when the pajeros, land cruisers and defenders went up in price.
Now they don’t even have 4x4 (at least the Jimny still does) and here you can only get it ka a hybrid. Futhi futhi I suspect that’s just an AWD system and not a true 4x4. Don’t even know if it’s still has a Low Range transfer box. So sad.
I suppose sure people are more city based nou mara what of I wanna go battle the corrugations and dongas tsa ko Mabeleapudi. Then comes the atrocious engine + gearbox ya Suzuki, lawd have mercy on us with this 1.5 and its 5MT/4AT configurations🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ like, sifelani.
My prev car was a 2014 grand Vitara with 2.4l engine, and the worst part: 4speed AT. A fuel guzzler of note, mara dependable, fairly reliable car.
All Suzuki had to do was take that engine, add extra 2 gears to the transmission and it would be a win. Maybe turbonyana but that would be a stretch…
With such combos and had they maybe priced it at 500-600k? I would be in one today! Mara they just had to regress. Mxm.
Utter utter disappointment if you ask me.
And I won’t get started on the looks, but basically another Fail👎🏿

I think they should've powered it with the 1.6 engine from the Vitara or the 1.4T from the Vitara and Swift Sport
Another thing the name Grand Vitara was used for their Toyota RAV4 sized SUVs instead of this one ,this one could've been named the Brezza like the last edition

Well, I drive a Suzuki Vitara brezza, which has the same engine, and the revs are loud if you push it too hard. So be gentle on the acceleration pedal, and you will reach 140km nicely😂😂
