The real SS HQ was located at the Niederkirchner Straße 9. where now a 300m long peace of the Berlin Wall is located. A sooner end of the European theater could have meant more resources went in the Pacific which would lead to an early end, which would have meant two defeated nations, a nuclear weapon with no way to test its actual damage and consequences and a big question mark about just using it as a conventional bomb by some pen pushing leaders that don't know how physics and chemistry really work. So , by not focusing everything they had to the Pacific , due to 2 theaters existing , they ended up showing us real well in turn what the new weapons in our arsenals are capable of with a first hand demonstration to make everyone second guess themselves about ever ordering an actual strike in the future of our warfare on a populated area with a foe of similar capabilities. We could have never truly understood the grave danger and sheer scale of destruction without having a hands on demonstration and then realizing that what happened then is several orders of magnitude smaller than what we are capable now. Makes everyone real damn sure of what they're capable of and makes them second guess the decision. But to get back to your comment , yes it was indeed bad luck. The briefcase switched positions from the initial spot and the table was a pretty heavy and thick one. All this needed was one person willing to bite the bullet or someone to reposition the briefcase and make a hasty exit to gamble on his chances of survival by not being right in the room but in the area of effect.

Operation Valkyrie was the best thing that happened to Nazi Germany. It was a true uprise and take over of evil. It reminds of a lot of the Rebel Alliance fighting and taking over The Galactic Empire in Star Wars.

I dont know if this was true but had the coup succeeded. German could have negotiated peace with the Allies before the Soviet reach Berlin. It could take months for the Coup faction to wiped out any reminisce of the Nazi within their rank and political structure before negotiation with the Allies can begin. At which point, I believe German could have held off the Soviet advance by a couple of miles from Berlin. There could be peace with the Russian occupying what they had conquered while the Allies take control of whats left of German and Western Europe. We could still have the cold war but the borders might be a little different. Much further East than what the Soviet achieved during WWII had the Allies pushed beyond the agreed border of influence thus cutting off Russia from Denmark and the Netherlands.

I’m not sure exactly who it was but, it was a gauleiter, the equivalent of a governor. Not exactly sure who since there were so many but hope that helps. Also the guy to his right was in the SD judging by his insignia and the guy to the left could be anyone lol

I dont know if this was true but had the coup succeeded. German could have negotiated peace with the Allies before the Soviet reach Berlin. It could take months for the Coup faction to wiped out any reminisce of the Nazi within their rank and political structure before negotiation with the Allies can begin. At which point, I believe German could have held off the Soviet advance by a couple of miles from Berlin. There could be peace with the Russian occupying what they had conquered while the Allies take control of whats left of German and Western Europe. We could still have the cold war but the borders might be a little different. Much further East than what the Soviet achieved during WWII had the Allies pushed beyond the agreed border of influence thus cutting off Russia from Denmark and the Netherlands.
