He shoots himself in the film, and we don't see any more of him. Of course, Beck's suicide failed and he was then executed (but we don't see that in the film).
Chris lel Beck wounded and blinded himself, then a sergeant in the room was ordered to finish him off with a shot to the back of the neck. He wasn't nursed back to health and then executed, although that may have happened to others involved in the plot (there were at least one or two other officers who tried to shoot themselves when the SS showed up at the door, but botched it and were arrested anyway). Yeh at least they do the German accents ...
"Anti-Nazi" "resistance" "hero" von Stauffenberg (from 1939 letter to wife):
"Locals are unbelievable rabble, so many Jews and cross-breeds. One can smell extraordinary misery around. It's a nation, which needs a lash to feel comfortable, visibly it needs a lash. Thousands of prisoners will help to develop our agriculture. Germans might benefit, because they [Poles and Jews] are attentive, hard-working and undemanding."
1939. Not 1944, it was in between then and 44, he was beginning to realize what was going on. There is a book concerning part of history, when this Operation was over with, had it been successful, their plans were to get rid of the concentration camps and to make peace with the United States and Britain, in hopes of ending the war.

If this wasn't a true story Tom Cruise wouldn't die at the end.
I have not seen this but it is Another try of Hollywood to rewrite history?
Krister Andersson no its not
scotland the best Well I suppose I have to Watch it then and see if I can spot any flaws then.
Krister Andersson well I didnt really spot any major flaws. There is a few flaws. But every film has its flaws
+Krister Andersson Not really; it's true there was an anti-hitler sentiment within the Wehrmacht , starting from Field Marshal Rommel down to Von Tresckow; not everyone was a staunch nazi, moaning about fuhrer-prinzip wasn't exactly recommended. Rommel for instance wanted Hitler to be arrested and brought on trial. Von Stauffenberg nevertheless was a conservative yet couldn't stomach Hitler, sure thing he wasn't a communist :)
+Krister Andersson its not
Jangan di sambungkan..
Well, Its all about Calais Comfort mate.. wink wink:)

may kulang sa plano nila, ang isipin kung ano ang ggwin kung pumalpak ang plano. they should arm themselves heavily and fought back instead of accepting executions if the plan failed, i die fighting
So If this movie is true, the chap with the glasses was/is the double agent.
He lied about the explosives
Also . Before the actor cruise got shot , he loudly said, God save Germany!!! If I am correct .
Let us all remember our history !!
Born in 77
They were so close,, so very close,, God bless em and all the nearly 5,000 who were executed. Some who had nothing to do with it.

SAD? It is "sad" that
A H.,etc. weren't killed long before .Inept officers that ,repeatedly, could conquer Europe and most of the USSR,but were not able to kill 1 evil man.
They only opposed hitler when they were loosing. Not much of a hero if you ask me. Most likely they were feared the total destruction of their lives and also saw an opportunity to get some good position in the new goverment.
Some were already against Hitler but didn’t have the support. By this time, they had the support, at least they tried and came close. They were losing but with the good chance of coming back. You forget the German Resistance, which consisted of some military men, tried to get help from Britain and the United States but we laughed in their face.
@@GaylaKenney-i2f Yes of course some were already against Him naturally. They tried when they didn't had anything else to loose. It was either death from the allies or a rebellion gamble. Yes they tried.
