Wile racing my buddies with stock Rovan 36 Baja, I broke the pipe off near the base, it just seemed to go faster! (And LOUDER!). Imagine running against T5's, Xmaxxes, and many very expensive machines, and still staying at the front of the pack with my lowly $550 US stock Rovan- with NO pipe! They were stunned!
Love the Rovan 36cc, have owned 3 now, they just go and go! And complete with clutch for $179 US.! Some of my friends would swear you are running a Taylor 35 or OBR watching this vid! For $100 more the Rovan 45cc is a torque monster, will drop in Bajas. I own 2 of them, they will wheelstand entire length of field and with much taller gearing! I own 2 OBR 34cc reed case motors as well, tbh, so far the cheap chinese 45 seems to outpower them. No replacement for displacement maybe? Many fifth scale gassers can't accept it's size tho.
Wow that thing rips, I found the same truck on Fearless RC for $700 i'm not sure if i want one or not since i still plan to buy a Losi 5ive-T 2.0 someday but i guess i can get the Rovan first to learn off of before i unload almost 2 grand on a 5ive-T. I've always loved the look of the Baja 5T from HPI but they don't make the real one anymore but i guess i can still get the Rovan.
Hi mate yeah great basher to start you off. I guess it comes down to what you want to do. Just remember this truck is 2wd not 4wd like a losi. However great fun to use. Also remember with a new losi you will need to buy a good pipe to get the most power out of your engine so make sure if or when you buy one make sure you have saved enough to get the pipe as well. With the baja I have plenty of videos showing what you can do to get more power with a few mods as well. Let me know what you end up doing happy to answer any questions you may have in the future. Cheers
@@evolverc1822 I will tell you when i get whichever truck i get but in the end i save up the money and get the Losi. And i just love the way the Losi looks and from what i hear the quality is top notch and it's backed by Horizon Hobby and who knows they may come out with a 3.0 when i'm ready to buy mine.
Yeah she was running a little lean i was still running in the engine at that point. I changed out carb to 1257 on its next run and tuned it and it was a ripper

No cage came with it.
Wow im real surprised how good that goes. I almost bought one a couple of weeks ago, but went a different direction
Yeah it goes really well still got a few things left to do to improve it but great out of the box
@@evolverc1822may I ask what oil type and mix ratio that was on? People dog this engine but it sure looks healthy to me.
