So we call a steak cooked that way black and blue (charred and rare), or I’ve heard it referred to as Philadelphia style, but I like your idea of why it’s referred to as Chicago style Also I hope you found some decent deep dish pizza
Thanks for letting Jeremy go deep on so many subjects. This was one of my favorite episodes. I may have to listen to it again. Totally worth the wait. :)
This is an awesome podcast. Instant fan, 3 of my top favourite guys. Truly you 3 really inspired me into the hobby, painting and starting my own channel.
I think where America got the idea of "Canadian Bacon" is actually mostly Toronto thing? "Peameal Bacon" is what I grew up calling it, it's usually a lightly cured thin porkchop with cornmeal around the edges. It's really hard to find out here in Vancouver, but was pretty easy to get in the GTA, I think it's a holdover from the late 1800s when Toronto had such a big pork industry it's nickname was "Hogtown".
We get speed trap warnings in Ontario Canada, we also don’t have terrible highways in the part of Ontario i live in. (Not Toronto). Hawaiian pizza is from Guelph Ontario
Canadian Bacon is back bacon. In Ontario we have Peameal bacon, which is back bacon wet cured and rolled in corn meal (although originally pea meal was used, hence the name) It's super annoying at McDonalds because they call it Canadian Bacon on the menu, but the staff know it as Back Bacon because they're Canadian. So, when we want my daughter's go-to breakfast sandwich, a sausage mcmuffin, sub sausage for back bacon, we don't know which to ask for. Or rather, we don't know if they'll recognize "Canadian Bacon" or "Back Bacon"
It's always a pleasure to sit through great hobby chat on this podcast, much less with the addition of Jeremy. Funny enough, Black Magic Craft is what got me deep into the hobby again. This episode pushed me to go forward into my journey within the hobby. Thanks, guys!
I always dreamed of being a carpenter, I did live the dream being a finish carpenter and making kitchens. Now I see things as digital carpentry, living the dream by building the dream.
I always was crap at math. Then being an adult I discovered there is a thing called dyscalculia. I haven’t been diagnosed by a professional but I have lots of signs like being unable to remember multiplications, no matter how many times I memorised them in my life or do adding and subtracting.
I hear the comment about how nice the book is and it made me wonder if more game creators could create beautiful lore books like art books and textbooks since those rarely change and then do the rules like a workbook so those rules can be updated as needed without having to redo the gorgeous lore book.
Necromunda is super swingy. I arbitrated a campaign for my local guys a while back and I ran the Chaos Helot Cultists, thinking that they'd be the gang to lose since they really don't have a lot in the way of tricks of the trade with the exception of the demon they can randomly summon. I never got to summon the demon but I did take every single achievement in the game, I didn't lose a single match. As a matter of fact my champion that was carrying a grenade launcher, Nasty Nate, got a bounty put on his head. By the end of the campaign he was worth like 500 credits and NO one took him down. Fun times. lol
As a Montrealer, I confirm that the Montreal steak spices do, in fact, resemble the smoked meat spices. Which I had not realized until Jeremy mentioned it lol
@Ninjon I love your new cat! I have a black cat named Bug who is the best cat I've ever had. @BlackMagicCraftOfficial My husband won't play constructed with me because I do a little research when I make my decks and I always kick his ass. @miniac Wait, Articles of Faith is a Mormon thing! Is it seriously a Necromunda thing? (Fellow ex-Mo here)
its okay Scott Necromunda is like that and its hard because some gang builds are very powerful, but like everything in G.W. you will rise and fall in the rules. flamer units are very strong they take weak B.S. units that are fast and can damage many gangers at a time, at low points. Their are some moral decisions you have to make to avoid being "that guy"
1:16:12 aaaaand we go back to the good ole Jon with the fallacies and hating for the fun of hating... Dude, just read Horus Rising, maybe the next 2 (False Gods and Galaxy in Flames) and watch the Arbitor Ian video of the Warhammer timeline in 20 minutes... You don't need anything else.
Fiiiiiiinaly.

I was worried about what happened to the podcast (until there was a post on FB.) glad to see the upload!
Thanks for letting Jeremy go deep on so many subjects. This was one of my favorite episodes. I may have to listen to it again. Totally worth the wait. :)
Pray he didn't go as deep as P. Diddy 🫣.
"runs it down mid" Scott's MOBA roots coming out strong

Great show as always, Jeremy is a great guy and has a great channel.
Steady Hands: the new tendy-dew flavored energy drink for TUP enthusiasts everywhere!
For me black cat named Luna is instant reference to Sailor Moon 😅
Same 😁
I love being able to watch Scott's transformation into a Dune Goon! Impressive. Most impressive.
@Miniac Since you want to play on a Dune-like setting, Dark Sun is excellent
Surprise Saturday episode!
I would guess that it's the religious zealotry of Scott's guys willing to run into a Meatgrinder for the Emperor's honour

1:11:50 Damn... Witnessing Jon beginning to understand the importance and fun of lore...

1:18:00 Our stomachs are the start of a single tube that exits. Thus, we are all donuts.
I always dreamed of being a carpenter, I did live the dream being a finish carpenter and making kitchens. Now I see things as digital carpentry, living the dream by building the dream.
Excellent knowledge. Great chat.
Canadian bacon is a cured ans smoked pork loin. Made it in culinary school
Knowing @ninjon is also a cat person makes me happy!

Jon just full Winnie the Pooh in a tendies shirt... 😮
As a Montrealer, I confirm that the Montreal steak spices do, in fact, resemble the smoked meat spices. Which I had not realized until Jeremy mentioned it lol
I had to look this up afterwards and was relieved to find that my random assumption was correct.
If Jon plays Corpse Grinders, he should definitely name them the Blood Hound Gang
I adopted an all black cat and named it Luna as well about 6 years ago, great choice
This was fun
Hawaiian Pizza is from Chatham Ontario, and created by a Greek dude :D
JonStewart said it best... deep dish isn't pizza; it's soup.
I'd love it if you lads came Australia one day
These guys are neat
Why on earth was this a week late!?!! I thought you guys died! Thank God you're still here
They did. Reanimation takes time.
I really want to hang out with this group. :-D
Like 6 days late.... I got worried. Plastic prayers have been answered.
(Fellow ex-Mo here)
Return of the king
The only important thing with pizza dough is to not dehydrate your dough. So don't over kneed with extra flower otherwise it will become bisquity
Was that a game changer reference, Jeremy??

Jeremy, I need to correct you, Hawaiian pizza was invented in Chatham Ontario at the satelite cafe by a Greek immigrant. It's the pride of my county.
Naming a black cat Luna and its not a sailor moon reference.
Scottie's monster codpiece 🤣
Very nice episode.
But every minute you guys talked about pizza an italian grandma had to die a horrible death.

I think the universe is destabilizing
Yo. If you want to do some Mordheim, that would be so sick.
I am too Dyslexic, the gene for Dyslexia is only passed down by the male gene, and you can now put Dyslexic problem solving on your CV 😅
Fuck. Grows tomatoes, pepperoni and shrooms, girl dad, packer fan, hunter. John is me, just a much better painter lol
Salmon sushi was invented here in Norway in the 1980s and everyone thinks its a old japanese thing😂
Who's Susi?
the crotch cam was strong this episode
One can easily confuse Jeremy and Brent, especially considering amount of comments on goobertown hobbies about Brent secretly being Canadian lol
My daughter is named Luna because of Harry Potter
Don has been on twice.
