Hiking the Gee Creek Falls Trail, tour of Gee Creek Campground in Hiwassee Ocoee State Park

- This video includes a tour of the Gee Creek Campground in Delano, Tennessee. We had a great time but I would only recommend an air mattress for warm weather camper. It is inappropriate for cool weather because, rather than insulating, it is tall enough to create cold air convection that will rob your body heat very quickly.
Gee Creek primitive campground has 47 sites, each with a table, fire ring and a grill. There is a fee for their use and the stay limit is two weeks. Public water and a bathhouse containing sinks, commodes, and hot showers are located near the center of the campground. The bathhouse is available to campers at no additional charge.

Beautiful time of year for camping! Your site looks nice and peaceful- and thanks for the look around. Hot showers are a plus! We really enjoy tent camping- we finally got some cots which help a bit with comfort. Pretty trail, great spot for a pb & j. 👌☀️☀️🍁🍂🍁Maybe some day we’ll get to visit near there. 👍
We have cots as well and they are pretty comfortable. We are still looking for the best sleep system while truck camping. It’s a lovely colorful place in the autumn and we hope to go back again one day.🏕️💚 😊

All the colorful leaves everywhere look so beautiful. I also see you went at a good time. There aren’t too many people visiting. I’ve never seen anything like the children’s story continuing throughout the trail. That was really neat. I’m glad you got the name of the place right eventually-hahaha. It reminded me of me and Gen.
