I remember watching this video years ago, was such a joy to watch. Hope your break from reviews is going well and look forward to seeing some more of the fragrance guru hitting my subscribed channels soon. It’s become a soulless community on TH-cam with all the greats bowing out.

Dude I have been CRAZY hyped to see your take on Eau Sauvage Parfum since I first picked that bottle up last year. So glad to see it's on your radar. On a more personal note, thanks for all the hard work you put into this fragrance thing. I got into fragrances because I was YouTubing around looking to buy one bottle just as a signature scent, but your videos clued me on to the art and variety in fragrances out there. It's been a hell of a ride ever since!
Amazing Marc, like giant giant props to you, I can't even fathom how many hours you must have put into this preperation, making your list, sniffing them all out time and time again. I'm not sure if I can fully apprecaite the work you put into this AND you don't even boast about it.

I don't know how much change would happen, there's not too much BIG releases that I love in the past 10 years. It would be interesting tho.

that's why I brought up this isn't about reputation or the most complex in the game. I actually do not own Drakkar, PR pour homme or even Brut so I was not going to add them to the list. Do I wear it , was the biggest question when I compiled this list. Perhaps I might compile another list later in my youtube career about the biggest names in the industry and game changers that needed to be sniffed like Drakkar, Azzaro etc..

You can't even get Brut in it's original strength anymore unless you have a scent-matcher make it for you. Which I'm going to do. Sartorial by Penhaligon is nice but not close enough to original Brut

Finally got the time to watch this! I knew Le Male would be #1 ever since I first heard you were doing this list. Great list, and I can't thank you enough for putting all this time into this so we can all enjoy it.
On a different note, Burberry London is so much more versatile than just a holiday scent to me, it's one of my cold weather signatures (I'm wearing it now). If it's under 50 or 60 degrees, I can literally wear it for any occasion whatsoever and have gotten many compliments on it.

New subscriber here. Just letting you know this video still has relevance, and that I appreciate you for it. Just now starting my collection, with zero purchased bottles, 32 decants recently delivered, and many more to try in the near future. It's been super nice to see how many of these remained in your top lists between 2015 and 2022.
I've been pouring through your videos and I feel like I have a better idea of how to approach my first few purchases. Living in the humid and hot South, I've really appreciated how many summer fragrances you covered. I feel like I'll be sampling for a year before I buy anything, even though I know I'll break before then haha. Thanks for doing what you do! Happy to join the ranks of your followers.

@@robes08 Thank you! Indeed, your work has not been in vain. If you have time, please let me know what single fragrance you'd recommend for a beginner in very hot/humid weather. So far I've got Mugler Cologne, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, a few Prada L'Homme versions, Terre de'Hermes, and Allure Home Edition Blanche as potential frontrunners given the climate and my early taste. Still haven't tested em all on-skin, admittedly. Also, this list mostly includes spring-summer fragrances since it'll be hot here for quite some time before it mellows out.
Just wondering what your recommendation would be for someone in this sort of climate who's just starting out. It's probably 80-100 degrees for 6 months out of the year, with stupid humidity lol. And I mean in general, not necessarily from the group I listed. I listed those just to see if you thought I was on the right track or not.
