Notice that the tempo is perfect. Many of the orchestral performances I've heard of this piece don't get it exactly right. This performance is sublime.

Had I not heard this realization, I would never have thought it possible. Mozart's #40 encapsulated the pathos of the human condition, with timeless taste, grace, expressivity. This duo does the music justice in ways I could scarcely have imagined. You make this crazy (and hateful) world a more beautiful place, gents!

Eu não toco violão. Eu aprecio violão mas estudo bateria e ouço do clássico, jazz, country, blues ao sertanejo, mambo, salsa, samba, frevo, forró e entre outros estilos.
Por isso, esse foi um dos melhores vídeos de peças no violão que eu já vi é vocês tocam maravilhosamente. Eu sou mega fã da Sinfonia n°40 de Mozart.
Muito obrigado pelo som. Hoje eu moro no Brasil. Quem sabe um dia não nos encontramos pela estrada da música, não é verdade? Acho que nós músicos temos o dever de conhecer bons músicos, fazer amizade e bons contatos.

Drew and Michael are absolutely THE best of THE best! Really, the case is that any compliment cannot reach its intended mark. Outstanding musicianship, technique and transcription. The passage starting at 2:23 is mind-blowing. They make it seem so easy-just he opposite.
Not only that, but Drew is playing with a missing right index finger nail and it doesn't hold him back in the least. Total perfection. Mozart would would praise Drew and Michael wildly.
I bought the Mozart recordings on Amazon last week. This is one of the best set of classical guitar recordings I've come across in a long time. For me, the reasons are, in ascending order: the recording quality itself, the quality of the instruments (including the fingernails! Drew, at least, has said he uses artificial nails), the selection of Mozart pieces, the excellent transcriptions, and finally, the fine musicianship and skill of both these guitarists, individually and as a duo.
The use of the 8-string for Symphony No. 40 adds so much richness to it. I have to admit, I'm not crazy about the second movement of Symphony No. 40. I think it's the composition itself, not the playing of it. But every other piece and movement is so enjoyable to listen to. As a happy coincidence, one of my favorite tracks, the second movement of Piano Sonata No. 8., is almost exactly as long as the only one I don't care for. HK's performance of it is beautiful and moving. I look forward to future recordings by this outstanding duo.
