Brzenk was never the biggest, never the fastest, his training was nothing compared to others, no noticable physical advantages, but he dominated the world for decades. This man is unreal

Little known fact: John had a tragic childhood. When he was a baby, his home planet Krypton was going to self-destruct and his mom and dad had to rush him on a rocket ship and send him to Earth just in the nick of time. His parents were killed by the kryptonian blast as soon as he left the atmosphere.

Denis was very new to armwrestling in 2008 and 09. He began to come into his prime in the 2010s. The prime Denis was just too strong for John and anyone else, except maybe Levan.

just the sight of cyplenkov would do it for the most of us but man is that arm hydraulic or what.you are right about that.some people just seem to have hydraulic muscles.my kid brother was one of those.he was 19 when he bench pressed a record of 190 kg at 82.5 kg class.a friend of mine was there as a spectator and he said people thought it was a intermission joke to entertain the public when my bro came up to press the weight.he seemed to have no muscles at all,totally flat chest,no shoulders,a little of a bit arms yet he pressed 190 kg with ease.he actually took the record from me!when i took the record i remember a older powerlifter commenting as what the hell is that boy pressing with as he has no muscles!

Bearing the fact in mind that John was 44 way past his prime and Cyplenkov was 26 in this match almost obliterates my mind when I try to gauge John's strength.

He was still in his prime after losing to voevoda 2004. Since he lost he trained harder and dominated 2005-2007 but by these matches he was already nearing mid fortys 2008-2010 as he lost his Overall world title to Devon the younger man in that time also.

And actually Denis started training in about 2006 when he participated in several tournaments and beat Andrey on lefts. By the time he faced John in 2008 & 9 he was second only to John, so armfight was needed. And also, if you mean he wasn’t experienced in 2009, how he’ve become so experienced in 2010 when he beat John? Without surgery John might have beaten Denis several times more but i agree that at some point Denis would overpower him. But it wouldn’t have been like in 2010, it would have been fair and square

John is the GOAT. The ability to dominate over so many weight classes, beating guys twice his size, is amazing. He is much older than Denis and 50kg less in these videos. The East might have the majority of the best in the world right now, but we have the GOAT.

@@bich6101 потому что размер и даже сила в каком-то движении не является показателем. Если ты жмешь 300 кг от груди, это не значит что ты хотя бы 300 поднимешь в становой. Тренировки обязательно должны быть специализированными под конкретное движение, если хочешь добиться успеха в этом движении. Более того есть разница между тренировками на силу и на размер. А у Дениса еще и техника была нулевая до 2010.

Брзенк успешно мог бороть Дениса, только когда Денис ещё начинал свой путь в арме. А когда Денис был на своём пике, Брзенк не чего не смог бы сделать ему, даже когда был на своём пике.
I would've really loved to see Prime Brzenk vs. Levan. If there's anyone who could get at least one pin against Levan, it was him. It's a damn shame we never got to see it. It's the equivalent of Maradona vs. Pelé, Jordan vs. LeBron, and Ali vs. any of the boxing titans that came after him.

No joke Denis was beating everyone back then except for Brzenk. I heard that in 2010 Brzenk had some shoulder problems he even had problems dealing with tokarev which wasn't the case in years prior to that. He usually ran through everone with ease.
He had shoulder surgery in 2010 which dropped his perfomance way down from the previous 3 years.
Anyways..Brzenk would lose in any next match from 2011 to 2017...2008 Denis was young and he didnt knew a lot of things...Brzenk is good but Dennis is 3 times stronger

I think Cyplenkov in his prime before his ruptured vessel accident was the human that was able to produce the most force in arm wrestling ever. His strength was just out of this world. Devon agreed with that after they had their matches and also he holds the record for the heaviest curl which just shows his incredible strength. Not sure he will ever get to his old form again though / if he is even trying.
Yea the cost of heavy steroid use is inevitable. I understand if they're on some TRT, especially as they age but Denis was on Hulk juice that shit was not sustainable.

Он побеждает не силой, а умением вывести рычаг противника в слабое положение, когда у противника работает не бицепс, а тонкие мышцы плеча и предплечья. А свой рычаг он держит так, что максимально работают бицепс и мышцы предплечья. Это так, самый поверхностный анализ.

Denis held/holds John in very high regard... losing to him just drove him to do whatever it took to come back. It sounds strange but working to beat those you look up to or idolize is the ultimate sign of respect to those being idolized. You drove and inspired another person to be their best. I can't imagine how many people John has inspired over the decades.
The way John just holds this onslaught of Denis and then proceeds to put the hammer down in his favor is just mesmerizing.
And now 2023 john still compete🤯🤯
Denis completely loses his hand every single time.. Notice how high up John got on his hand.. Denis never stood a chance.. This was when Denis was still a noob and either was too star struck by John to speak or, or was just too inexperienced. Remember, John was Denis' idol and role model. This is why when Denis finally beat John he jumped around like a little boy he was so giddy.. Denis is such a wholesome guy and him and John are my 2 favorite Arm Wrestlers of all time.. Just great people and they deserve all of their success. I hope both stay healthy.

I will explain to many here why in the end Denis was very happy to win. The fact is that John has been his idol since childhood and he really wanted to fight with him and of course show himself that he can. I took all this from his interview in the Russian-language segment, because I myself am following Denis.
