YES!!! BRILLIANT!!! I believe that this is one of the absolute BEST performances of one of my favorite concerti that I've ever heard. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉
My favorite flute concerto is played to perfection by my favorite flautist! What a treat to experience this brilliant, beautiful work performed by the brilliant, beautiful Clara. I heard the complete concert first, in which she also performed the Ibert concerto, a formidable task accomplished with aplomb. And the orchestra with conductor Martin was also excellent.
Agreed. It's truly remarkable that she played both of these works in the same concert, much less played them each as well as she did. What an amazing musician!

There is also a flautist who performs for Orchestra de Paris and she is brilliant as well. I don't know her name but she is very good. But somehow I admire Clara because she is musically and technically sound and that is why Clara draws my admiration. I never miss a concert where she performs for Frankfurt Radio Symphony orchestra.
Don't get me wrong, she is good. But she is not the best example of grace and sensitivity. Pahud is the one.

What a brilliant flutist! Have watched Clara countless times with the same orchestra playing 1st Flutist.She is simply awesome! It's not easy playing Nielsen! She does it with so much of grace and perfection!

Truly beautiful supple playing. Other comments have said negative things about her breathing, but I found it marvelously expressive. We don’t all have Pahud’s lung capacity…😉

In my opinion the Nielsen is one of the finest flute concertos in the repertoire and this performance was played beautifully by both soloist and orchestra.

WOOOOW! THIS IS THE BEST INTERPRETATION OF NIELSEN'S CONCERTO I'VE HEARD!!! I've enjoyed every second of it . Her flute just sounds amazing , it sounds very rich and crisp . May I know what flute she uses?

I wonder how many famous works such as this have one bass trombone and no tenor.

This concerto is one of the main ones. A lot of Rossini operas that have only one trombone in them are sometimes down on bass.
There are a fair few contemporary chamber pieces that only use one bass trombone. Karin Rhenqvist's Raven Chant is one.
Is Clara sometimes appear as principal flutist with this orchestra?

The oddest commentary I've seen recently. Boredom is the last word that would come to my mind when talking about Nielsen. So, what composers do you consider not boring?
